At that moment, upon seeing the stubborn determination carved into little Evelyn's face, Lady Willow's patience shattered like glass. She could tell instantly that this child was not going to hand over that card, no matter how loud she shouted or how much authority she tried to display. And the longer Evelyn held her ground, the more Lady Willow felt the weight of humiliation pressing down on her, especially as she noticed a few curious onlookers casting discreet glances toward them. The last thing she could afford in such a prestigious place was to look powerless before a child. That, to her, was unacceptable.
Her voice rose, sharp and commanding, as she swung toward the security personnel. "What are you waiting for?" she snapped. "Seize that card immediately! That girl stole it. Do you hear me? She stole it. Her mother must have stolen it first and given it to her to sneak in here and steal from this mall. This madness has to stop now!"
