Chapter 572 - Choosing the Three

Now that he had this opportunity, he needed to choose carefully. This decision would not only help him in that world, but would also allow the three of them to evolve because, once the True Dungeon was completed, they would also receive part of that percentage. Just to be sure, he decided to ask the God in front of him.

"They won't receive a percentage as large as yours, but they'll still receive quite a lot. So choose carefully."

The decision would have been easy if there weren't so many people he wanted to strengthen. Some of them would be able to evolve on their own at great speed, so perhaps it would be better to prioritize others. Because of that, Kai, Victoria, and Valença could simply follow the training plans he would prepare or receive information on how to obtain greater power.

'For example, I intend to teach them several spells they learned in the original story once they reach Circle Seven.'

They would only be able to use those spells once they reached that level. Furthermore, when he returned, he also intended to awaken Kai's third spell and his unique ability. With those three off the list, several other options appeared.

'They would undoubtedly be very useful, but I also need to think about the future. Besides, I've started putting together a plan that has a great chance of working.'

[I'll want to hear about that plan later.]

'Okay...'

He also wouldn't bring Yumeha or Rina. The two of them had already become much stronger by his side, and at that moment he could sense that they were both fine, so there was no reason to worry. Resting a hand on his chin, he began thinking about everyone he knew. One name immediately came to mind.

'The first will be Serenya.'

She had been training tirelessly over the past few days, so she deserved this opportunity.

The second person he thought of was Danyana, since she could be of great help in combat. He also considered Aoi, Elian, Liam, Liang, Kaela, Malunes, Seraphina, Sisaka, Erina, Elowyn, Elaris, Grakka, Thalen, Sílvia, Camila, Giulio, and many other allies.

'Velka doesn't have magic, so it doesn't make sense.'

His vampire subordinates weren't a good choice at that moment either. They grew stronger as they drank his blood and continued training hard, just as he had ordered. Among all the options, however, he remembered someone who was on the verge of reaching Circle Nine.

'Angela.'

The last time he had seen Angela, she had been very close to that breakthrough. It would still take years for her to reach it naturally, but the percentage gained from the True Dungeon could drastically shorten that path. It was an excellent opportunity to obtain another Circle Nine user.

"I've chosen the three. How are you going to bring them?"

"Already? I thought you'd take longer."

The God took the last sip of his tea and stood up from the chair, gesturing for Enrico to follow him. Enrico also finished his drink before leaving the house beside him.

"First, you need to find them. Then, I'll send a message from you to their world."

Creating three letters, he handed them to Enrico, who began to write the messages. Before him, a portal opened and a humanoid bird-woman emerged, landing at the god's feet. There were still some traces of food around her mouth, and in one hand she held a piece of cake.

"Ah, I'm sorry, Lord Zéphyr. You caught me by surprise."

"Don't worry. I should've sent you a mental message so you wouldn't be caught off guard, but I was in a hurry."

The God's name was Zéphyr, just as the humanoid bird had said. He was the one hundred and fortieth God to create a world of his own, and since then, he had created ninety-seven worlds, with this one being his favorite and the one he enjoyed watching the most. The bird girl was Agie, the fourth dimensional messenger of the gods, ranking only behind the other three messengers. All the messengers had the appearance of animals, belonging to a race completely different from the beastmen or the Nartheis who shared the same appearance. That was because they possessed one-third divine blood, having been born from the first divine beasts.

"Agie, I need you to deliver three messages, one to each of three different people. Each letter will have the recipient's name."

"Yes, sir."

Agie looked behind Zéphyr and saw Enrico writing, leaving her stunned. Pointing at him, she let out a small bird-like cry, causing Zéphyr to look confused. She looked at him, then at Enrico again, who didn't pay any attention because he was finishing the last letter.

"Why did you cry out?"

"Lord Zéphyr, he is... he is..."

"I know. Enrico Solcren Ferreira."

She became even more surprised as Enrico finished writing. Closing the letters, he handed them to Zéphyr before turning toward the bird with one eyebrow raised at such an exaggerated reaction.

"Lord Zéphyr, didn't you know he's one of the people the Great Ones are interested in?"

"Wait... what?"

Zéphyr looked at Enrico, who became more and more confused by her words. The woman seemed excited, unsure how to speak to the boy in front of her. The God continued staring at him, making him uncomfortable.

"What are these Great Ones? And why are you both so surprised?"

"Nothing... and please don't ask. I don't want to get myself into trouble."

[...]

That honestly irritated Enrico. The two of them made such a fuss and then didn't want to explain why? That could even be considered an insult to a noble.

Zéphyr handed the letters to Agie, who was still trembling with excitement, and began pushing her into the portal.

"I-I'm sorry, Enrico. I-I couldn't watch you because I was busy, so I missed a lot of..."

Without waiting for her to finish speaking, Zéphyr pushed her through the portal, leaving Enrico even more curious. Looking at the System, which remained silent, his suspicion grew to the point where he began thinking that those Great Ones were involved in his arrival in that world.

'Wait... System, don't tell me those Great Ones are... the Constellations.'

Not wanting to hear anything else, the System simply disappeared from in front of him while Zéphyr dragged Enrico back inside the house. Apparently, he had finally understood a little more about the identity of the gods who were watching him and, from the looks of it, some of them belonged to the world of those stories.

"About the people who will come to this world, it'll take a while because I intend to bring them here without requiring them to take over someone else's body."

"Really?"

Enrico looked at him, and the God simply nodded. That could be even better than he had imagined. That way, while their percentages would increase after the True Dungeon was completed, they could also grow stronger during that time.

"How long will I stay in a coma?"

"Three days."

"Can I use this place to train?"

Zéphyr sighed after hearing the boy's question. Ever since he had started watching him in his world, inside Leon's body, he had noticed how much Enrico trained. Seeing no problem with it, he decided to allow Enrico to train there. He only hoped he wouldn't make too much noise, something Enrico readily agreed to.
