In the middle of the forest, Enrico dodged the attacks of several magical beasts created by Zéphyr to train him. It would help him a lot. There were five magical beasts. The first one Enrico dodged was a horse with flames covering its entire body. From its mouth came a condensed fireball that exploded the moment it touched the ground.
"Fire Lines."
Lines of fire emerged from his hand and bound the horse in place while it struggled to break free. Even while restrained, the horse spat an even larger fireball toward Enrico. Extending his left hand, he blocked the attack and was pushed backward.
All five beasts were at the level of Circle Six. That alone already made them extremely powerful in Leon's world. They wouldn't be at the very top, but they would still be a major threat even to a Rank Nine, especially if they fought together.
Turning around, Enrico crossed his arms just in time to block an ice lightning bolt that violently hurled him backward. The attack was powerful enough to make him bleed while simultaneously freezing the blood in his arm. The one who had launched the attack was an ice fox. Blue lines ran down from its eyes, while its face displayed pure rage.
Planting his feet firmly on the ground before falling, Enrico used Charged Burst, shattering the ground behind him as flames burst from his feet. Appearing behind the fox, he stretched out his hand and trapped it with Fire Lines coming from every direction. Still refusing to give up, the fox leaped even while bound and bit his arm, tearing away a large amount of flesh. Making a pained expression, Enrico raised his arm and slammed it into the ground near a tree.
[These beasts are very strong. I think only the three strongest magical beasts and the reincarnated protagonist's beast can defeat them.]
She was right. There weren't many magical beasts at that level. There were only five. Above them were the three strongest, one of which belonged to Elara. Above even those three existed the most powerful magical beast of all, which in the future would stand beside Valeria.
"Crimson Shell."
Creating parts of the Crimson Shell across his body, Enrico withstood the charge of a red bull. The beast's horns shone as it charged, dragging Enrico across the ground. In the next instant, they exploded, causing parts of the Crimson Shell to shatter. Thrown backward by the explosion, blood ran down from his head, and one of his eyes was injured.
The Ego Bow appeared in his hand. Firing three arrows around the bull, forming a triangle, a barrier of fire appeared, trapping the magical beast without leaving it any escape route. Using its horns, it tried to break through the barrier with all the strength it possessed, gradually cracking it. In about a minute, it would be able to escape that prison.
"Let me help you."
Enrico appeared beside the barrier with his fist raised. An enormous amount of fire enveloped his arm, and the moment he punched downward, it passed through the fire barrier and struck the beast's forehead, knocking it backward. Without giving it time to stand, Fire Lines bound its legs, causing it to fall once again.
"Two left."
[Be careful. You're already getting hurt too much. What if you die and I don't have anyone left to laugh at?]
'Your concern is truly touching. By the way... about the Constellations.'
The System immediately disappeared the moment Enrico said that. Apparently, it would continue insisting on remaining silent about that subject. Well, he wasn't going to insist either, even though he wanted to know the truth. He had only mentioned it to make her disappear.
Looking at the two magical beasts that still surrounded him, an excited smile appeared on his face.
The first one before him was a blue-furred hyena with a water symbol on its forehead. The second was a female gorilla wearing armor made of earth. In one hand, she held an enormous spear almost as large as she was. Those two were the strongest among the five and were capable of defeating Circle Six users who had reached up to fifty percent of the sixth circle.
The gorilla leaped toward him with her spear raised. In a downward strike, the weapon was enveloped in earth magic that increased its durability. Enrico dodged by stepping backward, seeing only the spear's tip strike the ground. In the very next instant, an enormous hole appeared out of nowhere. He noticed it wasn't because of the force used that the hole had appeared.
Analyzing that spell for a moment, Enrico liked what he saw very much and immediately thought of someone.
"Oh, Erina is going to like this spell a lot. I'll teach it to her later. Can you teach me this spell afterward so I can pass it on to her?"
Enrico raised his hand, somewhat excited, but his opponent simply wouldn't stop attacking. He tilted his head to the side, watching the spear's tip pass just a few centimeters from his face. Taking advantage of the fact that his attention was focused on the gorilla, the hyena approached his leg in the form of liquid water. The instant Enrico stepped down, it bit the back of his foot with great force, throwing him off balance and opening a serious wound. Through the hyena's teeth, water began entering his bloodstream, something Enrico noticed immediately, even at the very moment he was bitten.
'This is bad... but I have something even better.'
Enrico released an enormous amount of his magic, sending the gorilla flying backward while the hyena began evaporating even while still in its liquid state. The water that had entered his bloodstream also evaporated. Although his blood heated up intensely, it caused him no damage. Enrico mentally thanked the fact that mages' bodies became much more resistant as they advanced through the magical circles, especially to withstand their own element.
The hyena returned to its physical form and backed away from him while the gorilla hurled the spear in his direction. Leaping upward, Enrico dodged and created several Fire Lines in the air, which connected to his fingers.
'This boy is doing a good job... It was a good idea to give him the chance to improve his magic circle even further.'
Zéphyr watched the battle from atop a tree. As always, he held a cup of tea, undoubtedly his favorite drink. His eyes turned toward the barrier surrounding the forest, which he had created. That barrier granted a twenty percent increase in the evolution of the magic circle of anyone inside it. It was a spell he had requested information about from a God from the original world. It could only be used once by each God, as decreed by the Supreme God, and Zéphyr had decided to use it at that very moment.
'He didn't ask me for anything... but you could say this is a small gift from me for helping my world.'
"You'd better make the most of these three days. I'll be helping you the entire time, Enrico."
