Chapter 1 - Roar

Year????

Location???

A flaming bird soared through the sky over the battlefield, a symbol of hope, its wings spread wide over the war-torn battlefield.

"So it's finally arrived, " a soldier muttered, his voice gruff

"Took them long enough." The Bird had a target: the towering titan. "SCREE!" it roared and launched fiery threads from its wings, wrapping around its target's massive arms.

With the beat of its wings, the titan was slowly lifted up off its feet. Flames from the phoenix's tail lit up, burning the titan.

"Rahhg!" the titan roared CHRRRRK!

Giant shards of rock shot up from the ground and aimed at the phoenix, and it dodged them by inches.

"Dam birds trying to lift that giant thing?" a soldier mumbled in disbelief.

"Captain, your orders?"

"Shoot it down."

The man raised his arm with the ballista.

"Fire"

The bolts soared through the sky, lunging into the bird, one penetrating its neck.

"SCREEE!"

"Hell yeah! See that men!"

But their cheers were short-lived.

Suddenly, the air changed, the flaming strings from the bird engulfed the bolt coiling around it like a snake, then, suddenly, it was gone in an instant.

"Wh..what was that?" A soldier bit his lip,

"The True Power of the phoenix..now we have its attention"

The phoenix prepared for an attack, nature energy gathered at its beak

"Prepare men!"

"GRAAA!" It began to launch an attack, but before that, the titan grabbed its tail.

The blast veered off course, missing the soldiers gathered below and setting off in the distance, obliterating a mountain in a single blast.

KA-CHOOOM

"That was close, Goliath saved us." The man's legs were trembling, and he nearly pissed himself.

The phoenix nipped away at the Titan's armour.

"Relaunch the balista," the captain ordered

"What's the point? That thing seems to disperse our attacks!"

"Do as I say, if we can't stop it here, then-"

Suddenly, a stray blast shot towards the men in a bright flash and a loud crash of thunder …they were gone without a single plea.
