Chapter 34 - Start of a New Trouble

Entered into my home and closed the door.

'I am really feeling sooo refreshed after talking with him. With memories or without memories, he was always there to help me, to comfort me, and I—Hhhhmmmmmmmm.'

'Mona!'

'Ha maa!'

'We are invited to a family reunion.'

'Family Reunion?'

'Well, yeah! One of your father's friends will be coming too.'

'I see,' I said with a disgusted look.

'What's with that look, my dear?'

'Nothing, it's just I am already disgusted by those damn annoying relatives, and now I just don't want anyone to join among them. They are already irritating by themselves. I hope my father's friend is a normal, sweet person, not like snakes.'

'Ha! Don't badmouth them like that.'

'Listen, Maa! Because of your kindness, they are all over our head now!'

'Whatever! Forget about them! Just remember it is the day after tomorrow in the evening. Remember to come straight home from college that day.'

'Yes, Ma'am!'

(In my mind) 'I don't know why. When they irritate us so much and are not available when we need help while we are there to approach them to help them, why are we even going to the reunion? They took so much advantage of us. It's really annoying.'

The next day,

'Heyyyyyy!' shouted Emma.

I turned back.

'Wait for me!'

(To myself) 'I know she walks slowly. But why is she running towards me, even like a tortoise? huh!'

'Hey! I heard Bhaskar is your boyfriend!'

'Wait a minute! What! No!'

'What do you mean? Everybody is talking about this.'

'Who spread this rumor?'

'I don't know the source, but they told me that she saw you with Bhaskar in the park near your household!'

'And who is this "she"?'

'I have no idea of that.'

'Huh! Don't believe every rumor, idiot. Actually, he is one of my friends from my school. He lost his memories in a car accident two years ago. From that time we were not in contact. On the day he arrived at this college, he found me familiar. One weekend, we coincidentally found each other in the park. That time I was just telling some memories of our school days.'

'And that's it!'

'Yes!'

'Still, he is your friend, right?' said Emma with a look of curiosity.

'Dhat! Let's go to class now.'

We entered the class. I saw many stared at me with disgust or rage. And I already saw this type of reaction before at school.

'Hey! Aren't you the rumored G.I.R.L.F.R.I.E.N.D. of our Bhaskar?'

(To be continued)
