Chapter 13 - Lie of the Eternal Star

Matt stood beneath a starless sky.

The Void inside him had stilled. Not in peace, but in warning.

He'd saved Mailane. Earned the Soulflare Sigil. But as the stars above Moniyan began to flicker—dying one by one—he felt the truth approaching.

Something was wrong.

The heavens were lying.

---

Location: The Celestial Watchtower

Built on the last fragment of the Old Realm's sun, this tower drifted between time. It held the Divine Archives—scrolls, prophecies, and celestial logs untouched since the First War.

And tonight, it bled starlight.

Matt, flanked by Grey and Sam, moved silently. Shadowsidian Blade strapped to his back. Mailane rested at a healer's sanctum far below—still fragile, but safe.

At the tower gate, an ethereal being stood.

A sentry made of constellations.

"Only the Flame may enter. The Truth remembers its killer."

Matt stepped forward alone.

The door opened.

Inside, stars floated like lanterns. Books whispered. Time slowed.

The Void pulsed.

Matt reached a sealed scroll chamber—and found someone waiting.

Not a Paladin. Not a beast.

An Eternal.

Murgamoz.

The Doom Bringer.

His uncle.

His eyes glowed red. His voice was a storm.

"You should not have returned, boy."

Matt's grip tightened.

"You knew I was innocent."

"I knew you were dangerous."

Murgamoz stepped closer. "The Void didn't curse you. It responded to your soul. Even the gods feared you. Especially Amiya."

Matt froze.

"What…?"

The walls flared with flame.

A vision unfolded—Matt's past death.

The day the Paladins accused him.

The day they summoned the Eternal Tribunal.

The day Amiya stood silently as judgment was passed.

She hadn't spoken.

She hadn't defended him.

Matt dropped to one knee.

"No. She loved me."

"She pitied you," Murgamoz spat. "She knew if you rose, the balance would break."

Matt stood. "So she let me die."

"She let you live," Murgamoz corrected. "Reincarnation was her last mercy. But I disagreed."

He raised his hand.

The constellations shattered.

Boss Fight: Murgamoz – Doom Bringer Eternal

Location Modifier: Time Looping Rift

---

The battle bent reality.

Every hit looped. Every missed block rewound.

Murgamoz used time to erase Matt's advantages.

He wielded spears of black fire that pierced even god-steel.

Matt activated:

Stormpulse Surge

Orc Sigil: Beastlink Counterstrike

Stellar Void Fusion – Phase 2

But it wasn't enough.

Murgamoz struck him with a spear of frozen time.

Matt collapsed.

Then… a whisper.

"I never stopped watching."

Amiya.

A fragment of her spirit appeared, shielding Matt.

"I didn't defend you in the tribunal… but I carved your name into the stars. I knew you'd return."

She gave him her final gift:

Lightrift Flame – Celestial Override.

Matt rose.

Wings of gold and shadow erupted from his back.

The sword in his hand split into two.

Dual-wield mode: Solar Rift + Shadowsidian

He moved like light.

He ended Murgamoz in seven seconds.

---

The vision faded. The Archives sealed.

And the sky above Moniyan changed.

Matt looked up.

His name was in the stars.

Carved beside Amiya's.

The Eternal Lie had broken.

And now, gods would have to choose.

Neutrality was dead.

The war had just escalated.
