Chapter 181 - Taking the devil hand (181)

Uzumaki Village – Afternoon Stroll

So, Kushina wanted to show him around, you know, since the village was rebuilt in the same way it was before it was burnt. Everything was back exactly as it was, with some added factors—like the waves around the village being a lot more turbulent, and Seijuro swore he could see the Eight-Tails swimming with the fishes in that shit.

Somewhere in the mountains nearby, a cat could be seen laying down, some Uzumaki children playing around it while the cat just lazed around.

This was Aizen's way of shifting the way people thought of the Biju, and it was quite effective if he could say so himself.

Though, he was thinking of adding the Iburi, Yuki, and Chinoike clans to his ranks—this could wait for a while.

He had plans to add quite a few clans back into his village. Clans that were abandoned and all that shit.

"We're known for our textile too, you know," she said proudly. "Not just sealing arts. We can look good while blowing things up."

Seijuro gave her a look.

"...That was a very Kushina thing to say."

She grinned—hands on her hips, chin up like she just declared herself Empress of the World.

"Damn right it was."

They moved next toward a terrace garden on one of the upper levels of the mountain village, the kind that overlooked the whole valley. The sun had begun to dip, casting golden light across the rooftops and wind chimes.

As they strolled, people waved to them. One old woman gave Kushina a blessing and asked if she and "her husband" were enjoying their honeymoon.

Kushina nearly tripped on air.

"I—HE'S NOT—We're not married! GAH!"

Seijuro just bowed politely.

He was used to this now.

Yet, he neither denied nor confirmed it—as even he didn't know. He'd have to experiment with this in the next five years to find out if he could do such a thing.

But for now, shit wasn't sweet.

Shit wasn't sweet at all.

That alien subplot had him distracted.

Weren't the Hyūga at each other's necks right now? He wondered if Hiashi had accepted his idea for the seal.

If he did, he could get started with it.

Well, he didn't forget—currently, Hikaru should have awakened a new level to his eyes and was probably staging some kind of takeover, or whatever that was.

Seijuro had planned for that.

When he had mixed the liquid in the man's eyes, he was planning for an evolution. At the bare minimum, the evolution would get the man to Kage level.

Giving him the same amp—or similar amp—to the Mangekyō Sharingan. Once that was achieved, getting the Hyūga to stop their shit should be quite easy, really.

Time skip – A while later

She brought him to the training grounds next.

Uzumaki kids were sparring in circles, learning how to flow chakra through chain-like whips. Some kids could barely get the chains to hover.

Wait... that was the Adamantine Chains.

Why the heck did so many kids have it? Well, the answer was simple—Aizen had boosted them with a lot of Yang chakra, and also made a more efficient version of the chains. A weaker version too, to help the kids get used to the feeling.

While some seemed to struggle—

Others?

They were already cracking rocks.

Seijuro watched with quiet eyes as one kid failed again and again—but refused to cry. His mother just clapped and said:

"You're doing great. You'll get it next time."

The child closed his eyes, and Seijuro watched as the chains emerged from the child's back. The chains wrapped around his hands, like some kind of glove.

The child then punched the rock—shattering it into a thousand pieces.

Hm... that was a stronk punch.

Meanwhile, Kushina was leaning on the railing nearby, watching him watch them.

She was thirstin' as usual. While Seijuro was observing the progress that the Uzumaki were making, she was looking at his jaw. His face.

Her eyes stayed on his lips a while longer.

Hm.

She did wonder how they would feel against hers.

Nothing could stop this Uzumaki from figuring out the answer to that question.

The date went nice.

She showed him around a bit, and he quite liked the area.

Time skip – Night | Aizen's Office

Aizen was seated at his desk, looking over some scrolls—but he raised his eyes the moment Seijuro stepped in.

No games this time.

"...I'll accept the deal."

Seijuro's tone was firm.

A pause. A long one.

Then Aizen stood up slowly, walking around the desk, his long white coat trailing behind him like a whisper.

He stopped just before his younger brother.

The Rinnegan gleamed faintly in the dim light.

And then—he smiled.

A genuine one.

"You won't regret it."

There was no triumph in the voice. No villainous gloating.

Just something quieter.

Almost... proud.

He extended a hand—this wasn't a pact sealed in blood or madness. Just a gesture.

Seijuro took it.

And Aizen's smile widened just a bit.

"Let's build something unforgettable... little brother."
