Chapter 33 - ch:31"Possessed"

Chaewon froze when the boy at the door introduced himself. His voice trembled as he repeated the name, "Choi Seungmin…" He paused for a moment, gathering himself before asking, "Why are you here?"

Seungmin's reply was calm, almost too calm. "Where is Han?"

The question only deepened Chaewon's unease. Hanbin had told him to keep this man's identity a secret, so he forced himself to answer casually. "He's… asleep."

"Oh, that's good," Seungmin murmured.

He stepped forward, and Chaewon instinctively moved back, giving him space to enter. Seungmin placed a small package on the side table, his eyes landing on Han sleeping on the sofa. He took a step closer, but Chaewon quickly grabbed his arm.

"Don't disturb him. He didn't sleep much last night," Chaewon said firmly.

The moment his hand touched Seungmin's wrist, his eyes widened. There, under the sleeve of his coat, was a tattoo—a vivid red flower inked into the skin. Chaewon's breath caught in his throat. He had seen that tattoo before. The same flower was etched onto Han's wrist.

Chaewon's grip loosened automatically, his mind spinning with questions.

Seungmin, however, said nothing. He simply pulled his arm back with calm precision, then brushed the dust off his clothes as though to silently warn Chaewon that he shouldn't have touched him. Yet, instead of anger, Seungmin only smiled faintly.

"Alright," he said evenly. "I'll come back later."

He turned to leave, but before stepping out, he stopped and looked back. His face remained blank, but his eyes—dark, unreadable—lingered on chaewon from head to toe. Then, without another word, he left.

Chaewon let out a shaky breath. The image of the tattoo burned in his mind. Why did Seungmin carry the same mark as Han? Was it a coincidence… or something more? Are they this much close to keep matching tattoo. And the way he was talking about Han. They look kinda close. Is han in some gang. Then the laughed to himself. Him being in a gang would be so awkward. Yeah I remember Mr kim said he can beat me up. Maybe he is a part of a gang. But that's doesn't even matter because Han health is more important to me now.

He shook his head quickly, deciding not to think about it now. Because his whole focus was on Han. Instead, he hurried to the kitchen, put on his AirPods, and started a group call so Han wouldn't wake up.

Chaewon called back, this time starting a group call.

He put on his AirPods so Han wouldn't hear anything and went quietly into the kitchen. In a low voice, he began, "Hyung, I have to talk about something important."

Hanbin, sounding annoyed, snapped, "Why did you cut the call earlier? I was still talking."

Mark chuckled. "He always does that. He does it to me too."

Hanbin ignored him and continued, "Anyway, about that guy—"

But Chaewon cut in, his voice urgent. "That's not important right now. I have something more important to discuss."

Jiwoong frowned. "What's so important?"

Chaewon hesitated, then said quietly, "I don't know if I should even say it, but… I think Han is possessed."

There was silence for a beat, and then everyone burst out laughing.

Simon chuckled, "How so?"

Chaewon rolled his eyes, frustration in his voice. "I'm serious. I really think he's possessed. Last night he started choking himself in his sleep. And it's not the first time—last time, when I dropped him at his house, the same thing happened."

This time, everyone went quiet. Shock flickered across their faces.

Winner finally asked, "Did he say anything while he was like that?"

Chaewon thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No."

"That's weird," Simon muttered.

"No—it's scary," winner added.

Hanbin's voice grew more serious. "Was it really that severe?"

Chaewon nodded quickly. "Yeah. If I wasn't there, he would have killed himself."

Everyone let out a long "Ohhh…" at the weight of his words.

Jiwoong suddenly suggested, "Take him to a shaman."

Chaewon shot back, "Are you crazy? How can I just drag him to a shaman out of nowhere? And how do I even make him agree to go?"

Hanbin signed because he knew something was off but he didn't want his members to know so he just offered another idea. "Then take him to a church. If the priest throws holy water on him, we'll know if he's possessed or not."

"That… would work," Simon said thoughtfully.

Chaewon groaned. "But again—how do I ask him to go to a church? It's not easy."

Mark replied, "Just casually. Like, 'Han, I'm going to church. Do you want to come with me?'"

Hanbin replied do you want me to call father yechan.?

Chaewon thought about it, then slowly nodded. "Okay… . But what if he really is possessed? What should I do then?"

Before anyone could answer, a sudden voice came from behind him.

"Who's possessed?"

Chaewon froze, his blood running cold. He turned slowly, only to see Han standing there—eyes sharp, waiting for an answer.
