It began with a dream.
Julius stood at the edge of a ruined world, the stars above him dull and flickering like failing candles. A voice whispered behind him—a voice neither male nor female, ancient and layered.
"Return what was taken."
He turned, but there was nothing. Just an obsidian star descending slowly from the heavens, leaving streaks of voidfire behind it.
When Julius woke, the Chrono Sigil was dim. Unresponsive. The Clock of Glory ticked irregularly.
"I felt it too," Kairon said. "A god is stirring."
Solas paced. "But gods don't whisper in dreams. They command."
"Not this one," Julius said. "This one remembers."
Reports came in from across Earthland.
A village where no one could speak, their words erased.
A mountain that aged a century in an hour.
A priest who screamed in thirteen voices, warning of the Whispering God.
Julius gathered the team.
They traveled to the site where the star had fallen—the Silent Crater. There, reality bent. Sound was swallowed. Magic fizzled unpredictably.
And in the center, a woman knelt in black robes, surrounded by falling petals of timeglass.
"I am Elyzia," she whispered. "Voice of the forgotten god—Ankeirum."
The name hit Julius like a blade.
Ankeirum, god of Remnants. The first to be erased during the Divine Purge. And one of the original holders of temporal law.
"You carry what once belonged to Him," Elyzia said, eyes on the Clock of Glory. "And He wants it back."
Battle erupted as time shifted violently.
Rael was pulled five seconds into the past with each step. Lyra's ice reversed into steam. Rin's memory blades struck echoes rather than forms.
Julius focused, tapping into the Chrono Sigil despite its flickering. "He can't fully emerge—not yet. This is a test."
He struck with Entropis, creating a rupture stable enough to ground reality for one minute.
They forced Elyzia to retreat.
But the star remained… and from it, the whispers grew louder.
"Return what was taken."
