"Ollivander?"

Evans was somewhat surprised to hear this surname, but his surprise quickly turned to delight.

If this was an Ollivander, then his wand problem should be solved.

With this thought, Evans extended his hand and shook hands with the girl named Della, giving the name of this body.

"Just call me Kevin."

After exchanging names, he began quite familiarly extracting information from the girl before him.

From the simplest time and location to recent events, question after question left the girl named Della somewhat bewildered.

She seemed puzzled why a wizard who had just escaped execution could ask such basic questions.

Only after completely extracting all the information he wanted did Evans stop questioning and bow his head slightly in thought.

"1626, England, North Yorkshire. The events are pretty much the same as what I studied. Good, no major discrepancies."

It seemed that apart from the absence of those so-called Judgment Knights, the other events in the history he had learned were reliable.

Otherwise, he would probably have sadly discovered that all the history he had studied was just a pile of wastepaper.

But this time period... the Middle Ages were almost over, weren't they?

Although the witch hunts continued for over a century afterward, far fewer wizards seemed to die in the later witch hunts.

But why would the illusory history of the witch hunts choose this time point? If he remembered correctly, the witch hunts should have started in the 15th century.

Puzzled, Evans raised his head and looked at the girl before him again.

He could tell that this Miss Ollivander had changed her attitude after learning he had escaped from the stake.

She must have taken a liking to his strength and wanted to ask him to help with something, but didn't know how to bring it up.

But this fidgeting behavior... was a bit too exaggerated.

Well, not exaggerated in a good-looking way—she was almost writhing like a maggot.

Looking at the restless girl before him, Evans shook his head slightly and spoke softly.

"Thank you for your answers. Is there anything you need my help with?"

Then he saw the girl before him writhe even more intensely.

"Help rescue people?"

After a long while, Evans finally learned her purpose from Miss Ollivander.

"Yes, we're going to rescue several members who were accidentally captured during an operation from a church dungeon tonight. If possible, I'd like to ask you to help us."

As she spoke, the girl named Della bowed deeply to Evans.

"They're all good people... please."

"And if you can rescue them, our leader will definitely give you a lot of rewards!"

After listening to Della's account, Evans rubbed his chin.

He wasn't opposed to helping. After all, he currently had no clue about his main quest, and helping rescue people might provide some leads.

During this period, the major events recorded in magical history were basically in the Americas, where those Puritans and Scourers were going crazy in that unregulated place. Compared to the Americas, Europe during this time had only some groups and specific names besides the many deaths from witch hunts—no major events.

However, in the Bellance family records, 1626 seemed to be quite an important year. Many places mentioned "that incident" of 1626, but what specifically happened was never explained.

They treated this matter like that "special situation"—leaving no substantial records at all.

It was strange. Those so-called Judgment Knights weren't that strong—at least he could handle ten of them without much trouble. Why were all historical materials so secretive about this?

So much so that the modern magical world had no idea why so many wizards died during the witch hunts?

Moreover, this situation seems to have started after the Black Death period ended. During the Black Death period, records of Muggles judging wizards were very detailed, nothing like the witch hunts that only recorded death tolls.

Of course, not many wizards actually died back then.

Although Muggles would try to burn wizards at the stake, such executions meant nothing to wizards.

There was even some crazy woman named Wendelin who, to experience execution by fire, was burned 47 times in a row.

If she were placed during the witch hunt period, no number of lives would be enough for her to burn through.

Shaking his head, Evans analyzed what he knew about this era.

According to magical history records, at this time point, there was a famous wizard group called the Blasphemous Sword.

Their leader often led people to execute church personnel involved in witch hunts, accumulating high prestige.

What was most admirable about this group was that they didn't advocate revenge against ordinary Muggles, only targeting the church that initiated this movement. Compared to other organizations of this time period, they were much more humane.

Although this kind of resistance wasn't very advocated, in this era, wizards didn't have many ways to fight back.

Speaking of which, every wizard war seemed related to such tactics. Was this ideology so easily spread among wizard groups?

After complaining internally, Evans spoke softly.

"Is your organization called the Blasphemous Sword?"

"Yes!" Della nodded her head continuously, the hope in her eyes growing stronger.

Seeing Della confirm his guess, Evans nodded imperceptibly.

He remembered this organization didn't have a good ending—the leader was killed, others scattered, and even their names weren't recorded in history.

In the text before entering history, there was mention of changing their fate. Could it refer to the Blasphemous Sword organization?

Such an organization fighting for wizards' freedom indeed shouldn't have such an ending.

However...

"I can help, but I don't have a wand right now, so I might not be much help," Evans said.

"You don't even have a wand?"

Della's eyes widened, her face full of disbelief.

"Without a wand, you escaped from a group of Judgment Knights, even with a diocesan bishop present?"

But after the surprise, the hope in her eyes grew stronger.

Such a powerful wizard should be able to help a lot, right?

At least rescuing those few companions from the dungeon shouldn't be a problem.

As for lacking a wand...

She raised her head somewhat proudly.

"Then you've found the right person!"

"In the entire magical world, no one understands wands better than us Ollivanders!"

As she spoke, she picked up a measuring tape from nearby, excitedly preparing to measure Evans's dimensions.

Then she froze in place at Evans's next words.

"I don't have money. That's not a problem, right?"

"...No money?"

The girl's originally confident expression became somewhat pitiful, and some mist appeared in her eyes. She struggled for a long time before gritting her teeth and nodding.

"I... I can lend it to you first. If you help rescue those members, I'll give it to you!"

"Not counting toward the leader's reward!"

Looking at the girl's pained expression, Evans felt like laughing.

However, in this era, the cost of a wand wasn't cheap. Although Ollivander's shop's trademark was that each wand had always cost 7 Galleons, 7 Galleons in this era wasn't the same concept as in modern times.

In this era, 7 Galleons could buy an entire house hidden in the Muggle world and covered with protective enchantments.

This Miss Ollivander would go this far for her companions—she was quite a loyal girl.

After cooperatively finishing the measurements, Evans watched the girl run to the bookshelf, rearrange several books, and push the bookshelf aside.

Then, an entire wall of wooden boxes appeared before Evans. These wooden boxes weren't all the same style, but Evans knew that each wooden box here represented a wand.

A rough count showed at least fifty-plus wands.

But compared to the modern Ollivander wand shop, this girl's collection seemed rather modest.

Those thousands of different-styled boxes had really left a deep impression on Evans.

However...

Looking at Della returning to his side with an armload of boxes, Evans sighed softly.

This tedious selection process had also left an extremely deep impression on him.
