Chapter 11 - Chapter_11

-"They let me out for one day to get that creep's forgiveness. I went to the restaurant. He knew exactly how to make me mad and get under my skin. We fought again, and he made the same offer. He told me to think it over, or he'd make sure I'd spend years in jail."

"I stormed out the back door, not knowing what the hell I was going to do. Even thinking about sleeping with him made me sick. I was lost in those thoughts when you guys showed up. Well… I guess you know the rest."

Diana:

I finally looked up from the blanket I was squeezing between my fingers.

The guy named Jacob had his hands locked on his knees, leaning forward slightly, staring at his shoes.

Matthew, though, had one ankle crossed over his knee, looking at me with boredom—like I was his new toy.

_ "Where are your parents? Did you run away from home?"

I laughed. If only they were here! If only they were alive…

-"They're dead. My dad first, when I was fifteen. Then my mom, a few years later, when I was seventeen. I don't have any family… or at least, I don't know where they are."

+"Your name?"

I looked at him, confused.

+"You said all that nonsense, but you never told me your name, little one!"

-"My life isn't nonsense."

I went on.

-"Diana… Diana Whitelock."

+"Diana? Di-a-na? What's that mean?"

-"It means the goddess of the moon in Greek."
