Jack opened his eyes and saw the clash at the broken gate.
He stood up and withdrew the bow of the wild.
"My commanders and allied Lords!" He yelled while drawing the bow, filling it with enough spirit power to make the air around him twist.
"Move the troops away from the gate! I will create a hole, rush out and kill them all were we have room enough to properly fight!"
His own commanders reacted instantly and swiftly.
The lords, when they saw Jack in complete control and his flowing killing intent with the rushing air around him, all followed suit immediately.
'We still have a chance!' the thought went through all their heads as they scrambled to controle their few troops.
As most had moved away from the gates, the reptilian forces swiftly moved inside in a dense wave.
Jack released the arrow.
The arrow went dead center through the gate.
Any reptilian in it's path had a hole in its body and hundreds of the dense wave was thrown away and slammed into walls and gate.
Outside the arrow came to a stop in the middle of the thousands of reptilians packed there.
A 10 meter wide crater emerged as hundreds of reptilians was dead or deeply wounded from the impact.
"All of you! Charge outside and finish the once and for all!"
Lee nodded to the lord's as he, and the other commanders charged outside to fight with their troops.
The lords saw all this and the entire situation made their human-blood boil in heroic favour.
They were not just fighting for themselves, but for the entire race!
And heroes were being made!
Ramises and Brutus, the lord who commanded the others respect, both felt it most deeply and drew their weapons.
"What are you standing around for? Humanity is fighting! Let's join our heroes!"
Brutus yelled to the others, and with a single smile to Ramises, they both charged outside to join the fight.
The other lords, seeing this, mustered their strength and charged after them.
Jack stood alone, waiting for the scared people behind him to peak out from the doors and corridors of the inner castle.
"Gather here my friends!"
Jack had turned to his civilians who amassed around him.
"I know you are not fighters! I know this is not what you imagined when you travelled here from Black Mountain! But this is the reality of the world! And right now, you thousands of proud people! Are the only barrier between humanity and certain death and enslavement!"
Jack watched his words take root in many of the civilians.
Countless of the men straightening their backs, already filled with the certainty of what had to be done!
"Will you cover inside this castle and wait to be plucked by the enemies hordes? Or will you join your lord in a brave sacrifice that will be sung about for ages? I ask this of you not as your lord, but as a fellow human who knows what a life of enslavement means!"
Every single civilian now stood up with a stern look on their faces. They steeled their nerves, inspires by their very lord.
"Join your brother's outside! Take up the weapons of our fallen heroes, and let's these invaders what humanity is truly capable off!"
The full 40.000 civilians now clenched their fists, third faces a resolute steel-mask, ready for whatever might come.
"You have no training! But you have two hands and a heroic hearth! Rush out! Pick up any weapon you can! Rush out my people! Rush out to victory!"
As Jack yelled the last words he raised his own rare spear and roared with the civilians as they all charged outside to join the fight.
Sha'ri, Ang'ris and the halfbreed-child stood on the center walls were they could see the entire fight in the yard.
They saw a strange arrow emerge from the gate, filled with air-energy it spiralled and created a blast wave in the center of their troops.
Many died, but it was insignificant compared to the full numbers gathered in the yard.
Next they saw the remaing human troops emerge and create a long wall of bodies around the gate.
Even the Human lords and commanders had appeared and fought in the dense mass.
The commanders were strong and killed many.
Some of the lords, especially one that was taller and broader than the rest, truly killed many reptilian troops.
The big lord even commanded fire, bending it around his sword and reptilians caught fire with every slash.
Yet the reptilian lords knew it was only a matter of time.
There was no way that a few hundreds remaining human troops could kill 45.000 reptilian troops.
Even if they had lords with abilities that could kill many reptilians, they were still infinitely weak in the grand scale of things.
However just as Sha'ri and Ang'ris became steadfast in their inevitable victory, a new wave of humans crashed outside...
40.000 civilians densely packed and with murder in their eyes, all rushed ahead.
The clash of the front lines became toppled and both humans and reptilian simply fell down and were tramped by a mass of human feet.
The reptilian army backed up and created space for the entire yard to quickly become mixed with almost one hundred thousand mixed reptilians and humans who fought in a deadly brawl.
The civilians jumped reptilians, poked their eyes with their fingers, bit between the scales with their teeth.
The majority found whatever weapon they could. Swords, spears, daggers, shields, even broken arrows could still be used to stab.
The reptilians were frenzied, and being both trash and common troops, they overwhelmed the civilians in battle efficiency. However the civilians made the fight equal in pure rage and fury as they fought for everything they loved.
Jack quickly found Lee, and killed reptilians around him.
"Stand back Lee! I need you to try to organise the civilians! I will go for Sha'ri and end this!"
Lee quickly backed away, found a toppled supplywagon and crawled on top of it before he barked orders as loudly as he could.
Jack had grabbed a tower-shield from a fallen spearman and with his dilato's tooth in the other hand, he began slaughtering reptilians in a bloody mess.
Jack's high fortitude made him a whirlwind in the midst of the brawl.
His spears special ability proceed countless time, slaughtering thousands on his way to the ramparts that led to the top of the walls where Sha'ri was standing.
The human fighters, commanded by Lee, quickly took advantage of these great holes in the chaos in the yard.
They established proper fighting units, utilising the space to get the upper hand against the reptilian forces.
On the walls both Sha'ri and Ang'ris were furious!
'How dare he!' though thought furiously as they saw him climb the ramparts and decisively cut down any common troops between him and themselves.
"Enough of this! If he won't bow, I will kill him myself!"
Ang'ris felt the same anger as Sha'ri, and equally wanted to kill this blasphemous human!
But someone had to stay and keep their future safe. The wonder child had to be protected by all cost!
Jack faced Sha'ri on top of the walls.
His vision filled with the days of capture and molestation.
He was at this point to filled with rage that he didn't sense anything else but Sha'ri in front of him.
She was strong, and extremely skilled with her two sabre-shortswords.
But it didn't matter.
This time Jack was still filled with his spirit power and his body much stronger than before.
He parried Sha'ri's attacks and used the blunt end of the spear to smash her across the face, making her smash into the ground where he firmly sliced his spear directly through her heart with such force that the spear went halfway through the stones beneath her.
Jack's body felt light.
He saw Sha'ri's life fade quickly as her heart was ruined.
He eyes became void of life even before she could utter a single word.
Yet, in the second before the life faded from them, her eyes had a calm sheen that touched him.
'Was she pleading with him? Begging him even? How dare she! How could She! When she had done so much wrong, how could the last thing she did before death, be a plea to the very man she had wronged!'
Jack thought this and felt a crushing chill in the air.
But the chill didn't come from himself or his state of mind as he had gotten his revenge.
It came from the boy.
The halfbreed.
Ang'ris had been holding him as he watched his mother die in the hands of his true father!
His father that the human part of him had longed to see ever since he opened his eyes.
The boy lost controle as his mother died in this way before his eyes.
Before he had even seen much of the world and understood how it worked.
His mother was taken from him.
And his father had been the one to end her life!
The crushing aura of a rare-ranked, mythic potential blood-controle ability made the entire battlefield pause.
They all looked at the boy who had wrestled himself free from Ang'ris hands, who were now dripping a river of blood from them as every single blood vessel in her hands and lower arms had violently ruptured and the blood oozed from her skins pores.
The boy went to his mother, saw her lifeless face a last time before he turned to his father.
A crushing sensation settled on Jack, his entire inner beeing, all the blood in his body simply stopped circulating.
Then the pressure came. A torment of pain he had never experienced before.
His insides violently tried to turn him inside-out!
The blood forcefully crashed against his veins!
Jack completely stiffened with a horrifying look in his face!
He was screaming inside, but no sound came over his lips.
His high fortitude barely kept the power behind the blood at bay, simply prolonging and increasing the pain.
Blood fell from his eyes, ears nose and mouth...
All his troops and allies saw this, and instantly rushed up the ramparts to help their strongest hope and chance of survival.
The half-breed boy no longer controlled himself. He was too young. Too inexperienced. The ability too potent.
It simply took over and sensed the incoming threat of thousands of humans coming towards it with hostile intent.
The pressure on Jack faded and he collapsed on the wall-floor.
The front lines of the civilians-turned-troops froze near the boy.
They shaked violently while their blood was simply sucked out of them and streamed in thin rivers towards the boy.
The rivers of blood hanging in the air turned into deadly whips that slashed into the oncoming rows of humans, slicing everything they hit into two!
Jack gained a measure of bodily controle as he saw this!
With a rush of inner energy from his body's happily return to normality as the intense invasion, made him able to burst all his power in one single attack.
Many broken stones from the walls were littered everywhere.
He controlled them to quickly create a solid barrier on the ramparts.
Cutting off the boys powers from running wild on his people.
In the same instant he threw himself at the boy with every fiber of his fleshly being.
A single right-hand punch to the jaw made the boy crash into the side of the walls and stay there completely blacked out.
As Jack went to him, he was suddenly met with a body around his legs and a pleading scream.
Ang'ris had thrown herself at his feet, trying to prevent him from killing the boy.
"Please don't! I surrender! I surrender! Just don't hurt the boy!"
Jack looked down and saw her genuinely crying before him.
