Chapter 1 - 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 1: Sakazuki

North Blue.

Blood Bull Pirates.

Aboard the ship.

BOOM!

BOOM!

A massive, bull-headed figure was sent flying once more, crashing hard into the cabin wall.

Struggling to his feet, Johnny, captain of the Blood Bull Pirates, took in the carnage around him—dead crewmates strewn across the deck, his own brother lying lifeless at his side, having taken a blade for him. Memories of their wild years at sea flashed through his mind, and tears streamed down his face, his eyes burning red with fury.

"You bastard! What the hell did I ever do to you?!"

"Why?!"

"Why?!"

"You damned demon!!"

Rage shattered what little reason he had left. His body twisted, muscles bulging and bones cracking as he transformed into a raging wild bull. With a thunderous bellow, he charged straight at Sakazuki.

Sakazuki watched the three-meter-tall beast barrel toward him, his voice cold as steel.

"Why? Because all of you deserve to die."

His right arm morphed into a mass of blood-red magma, molten and churning just beneath the surface. If you looked closely, you'd see the magma pulsing through his veins.

As Johnny thundered in, Sakazuki sprang upward, both legs coiling like springs. He came down with a devastating punch, smashing his fist straight into the bull's skull.

The instant fist met horn, magma erupted from his knuckles—FWOOSH!

BOOM!

The monstrous bull was driven straight through the deck, magma pouring over his body like a volcanic flood.

The impact knocked Johnny out cold, his form shrinking back to human. But the searing magma covering him jolted him awake, pain ripping through every nerve.

Barely clinging to life, he could only howl in agony.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Sakazuki strode over, seized Johnny by the throat with one hand, and lifted him off the ground.

Magma crept steadily up his body as Sakazuki spoke, voice as merciless as the flames.

"Three years. Over a dozen villages slaughtered."

"Go to hell and repent."

"Trash."

The magma engulfed Johnny from foot to crown, muffling his screams. Soon, he was silent, sealed inside a massive cocoon of magma.

Without a backward glance, Sakazuki turned and headed into the cabin. He gathered up what treasure he could find and tossed it into his small boat moored alongside.

He pulled out an Eternal Pose, raised the sail, and set off.

He'd barely put a hundred meters between himself and the Blood Bull Pirates' ship when the magma cocoon encasing Johnny began to pulse—thump, thump, thump—like a grotesque, beating heart, growing faster and faster.

Suddenly—

BANG!

It exploded!

Magma erupted in all directions, flooding the ship in molten fury.

Flames devoured wood and metal alike. The ship, wracked by burning and corrosion, slowly sank beneath the waves until not a trace remained.

All their sins, swallowed by the sea.

On his boat, Sakazuki paid no mind to the explosion behind him.

He pulled out a stack of bounty posters, each one slashed through with a bold X.

Flipping to the last, he drew a line through Johnny's poster and tossed it aside.

"That's the last of them, huh? Guess it's time to join the Marines."

At the bow, Sakazuki gazed out over the endless sea.

He was nothing like the scrawny kid who'd arrived in this world five years ago. With his Devil Fruit powers, hunting wild beasts was easy. Good food and hard training had built him up—at twelve years old, he stood taller and stronger than most grown men.

He wore a crimson coat, his face set in a hard, determined line. A long sword was strapped to his back—a trophy from a pirate crew he'd wiped out.

Sakazuki had spent three years in Goya Town, training and gathering intel. That stack of bounty posters? Every last one collected during those years.

This was the real world—not the sugarcoated fantasy from his past life's anime.

Every single poster belonged to pirates who'd slaughtered whole villages and towns. Any one of them deserved to die a hundred times over.

Everything he'd seen since coming here only solidified his resolve.

The only good pirate is a dead pirate.

Two years ago, he'd set sail, following his bounty list and hunting pirates one by one. It didn't take long for people to start calling him "Demon."

This wasn't the Great Pirate Era yet.

Roger hadn't made his legendary declaration.

But chaos was already brewing. From the posters he'd collected, it was clear—more and more new pirates appeared every year. One person alone could only do so much.

He could develop his Devil Fruit powers thanks to knowledge from his previous life, but his physical training had hit a wall.

He knew the theory behind martial arts and Rokushiki, but without a teacher, there was no way to truly master them.

Take Soru, for example. He understood it required kicking the ground dozens of times in a split second (0.36 seconds, to be exact) to generate explosive speed—so fast you'd seem to vanish.

But that was all theory. How to apply the force, how much strength you needed… And as for Armament Haki and Observation Haki, without the basics, there was no way to unlock them.

Trying to figure it all out alone? That was a dead end.

So… join the Marines first. Set a small goal.

How about… not leaving a single pirate alive?

Half a month later.

North Blue, Windflower Island, Marines 194th Branch recruitment office.

"Next!"

"Name?"

"Sakazuki."

"Age?"

"Twelve."

At that, the Marine clerk glanced up, eyes widening at the sight of a twelve-year-old who was taller and more muscular than he was. His mouth twitched, but he pressed on.

"Why do you want to join the Marines?"

A faint, chilling killing intent radiated from Sakazuki.

"To wipe out every pirate in the world."

The clerk nodded, as if that explained everything.

"Any special skills?"

Sakazuki's answer was calm, but his words landed like a thunderbolt.

"Logia-type—Mag-Mag Fruit user."

The clerk blinked.

"Uh… what?"

"WHAT?!"

He shot up from his seat, chair clattering behind him—

(Don't get fooled by wild rumors—the three Admirals definitely didn't get their Devil Fruits from the Marines. See Chapter 42, Article 16 for details.)(First time writing… The early chapters might be rough and a bit slow. The God Valley part is a little messy. I recommend starting from Chapter 48.)(Seriously, seriously, seriously—start reading from Chapter 48!)
