Chapter 135 - Chapter 134 - Fate Series - Naruserve

Author's Note:

I'm not sure which name is correct for the female version of Ritsuka Fujimaru. Some refer to the male version as Gudao and the female version as Gudako.

The name and gender of Ritsuka can be actively chosen by the player. The nicknames Gudao (ぐだ男, Guda-o) for the male version and Gudako (ぐだ子, Guda-ko) for the female version are commonly used by fans instead of their official name in the game.

---

The next afternoon, Reuel woke up with a slightly sore body. He turned to the side and saw three women—Takagi Yuriko, Ada Wong, and Miyamoto Kiriko—still fast asleep. Without waking them, Reuel reached for the blanket and carefully covered their naked bodies, then quietly left the room.

The night until dawn… had been exhausting. Fifteen women—and all of them had been active.

As he walked slowly down the hallway, Reuel stretched out his stiff muscles. Only three were still sleeping; the rest were already up and going about their day, as if that long night had been nothing more than a fleeting dream.

When he reached the lounge, Reuel found Miyamoto Rei, Takagi Saya, and Asami Nakaoka lounging on the sofa in casual clothes, watching TV. All three looked fresh—like last night had never happened.

He was about to greet them, but was immediately intercepted when Angie and several other little girls grabbed him and dragged him away.

They looked at Reuel warily—perhaps too familiar with his reputation—and insisted he play with them in the vast gardens of Terra Aeterna. Reuel gave in. For the sake of the children, he became their "living toy" for the entire afternoon.

By midday, the four little girls had fallen asleep in his lap, exhausted. Gently, Reuel carried them one by one back to the palace and handed them off to Terry, the loyal steward, to be taken to their rooms for rest.

After that, Reuel made his way to his office, joined by Richelieu and Belfast. As always, they buried themselves in administrative documents governing the affairs of the Imperium of Man.

The work didn't last just a day—but stretched over an entire month: handling key decisions, approving colony expansions, resource allocations, and navigating the tangled web of military and political agendas across star systems. Richelieu and Belfast took charge of diplomacy and protocol, while Reuel focused on strategy, signing off documents, and streamlining bureaucratic systems.

One afternoon, just as Reuel finally managed to sit down and enjoy a cup of warm tea—

the door suddenly slammed open.

BRAK!

A cat-eared girl burst in without permission. Startled, Reuel spat his tea.

"Nyaa~! Commanderrr! You've escaped to other universes twice already! When are you going to help me sell Cat's Box to other dimensions, huh?!"

It was Akashi—the sly engineer from the Azur Lane universe—wearing an annoyed and frustrated expression.

Reuel let out a sigh and calmly wiped his mouth. "Ahem… Akashi, you'll get to sell your Cat's Box wherever you want. But speaking of which—how's the progress on your ship transformation project? You know, converting into starships like the Imperial Navy?"

"NYAA~! Commander, are you trying to pick a fight or what?!" Akashi huffed. "The tech from your universe makes no logical sense!"

She paced back and forth with the agitated energy of a pissed-off cat.

"I've learned a lot from the Adeptus Mechanicus, but still… it's too damn complicated! They're crazy, nya~! Just to screw in a bolt, they perform a holy ritual, chant prayers, and worship the Machine God! I'm getting stressed over a single loose bolt, nya~!"

Richelieu stifled a laugh, keeping a composed demeanor. "Akashi, mind yourself. You're speaking in front of the Commander."

"Mind myself?! Nyaa~! They treat me like a heretical novice on Mars! They think I'm insane just because I don't worship screws!"

Reuel finally stood and patted Akashi on the shoulder. "Relax. For now, just focus on studying the technology from the Gundam universe. Don't push yourself trying to decipher Mechanicus tech just yet. Your main objective: develop a system that allows the ship girls to transform into actual space-faring vessels compatible with Imperium systems."

"Nyaaaa~! Dictator Commander! No rest for this poor little cat girl, nya~!"

Imperial Command Headquarters – Control Room

"All right, Akashi, calm down. I'll give you a three-month break. How about that?" Reuel said in a soft yet firm tone.

"Nya~? Really, Commander? If that's a direct order, then I guess I have no choice, nya~!" Akashi replied, nodding cutely, her voice cheerful as always.

Having received the good news, Akashi left the room with a satisfied expression and a light spring in her step—truly happy to finally get the long-awaited vacation.

Reuel then turned to Richelieu, who was standing nearby.

"Richelieu, please call the ship girls who are willing to accompany me to another universe. Didn't you all express interest in multiverse exploration before?"

"Yes, Commander. Please wait a moment. I'll gather those who are willing," Richelieu replied with a polite nod before turning and exiting the room.

Once Richelieu left, Reuel opened his personal tactical interface and gave a command.

"System, open multiverse map."

Ding! Request acknowledged. Now displaying multiverse map, Host.

Before him appeared a massive holographic projection, displaying a network of universes with branching paths. Reuel browsed through the worlds one by one, his eyes sharp as he analyzed the data displayed.

"Date A Live… description: 'Neutralize the threat of the Spirit Origin'…" Reuel muttered softly.

He furrowed his brows.

"I'm still not sure I can handle that. Mio Takamiya is far too complicated. Their world's ecosystem… too delicate to intervene recklessly."

Then his eyes shifted to another universe.

"Honkai… hmm, sounds interesting. But that means triggering the emergence of Herrschers."

"The more advanced the civilization, the stronger the Herrscher that will be born. If the Imperial Navy shows up there… what kind of ghost will crawl out of that chaos?"

He paused, deeply considering the consequences.

Soon, his attention landed on another world—the Fate Series.

"Fate… Grand Order, huh. Not a single timeline like Apocrypha, FSN, or Zero. Too many broken singularities already."

Reuel then activated a diplomatic channel, intending to open communications.

"Diplomatic connection to the Fate Series world."

Zhhhhh—Zzhhhiii—

The screen filled with digital static—signaling an active transmission. A connection was beginning to form.

Connection established: Imperium of Man ↔ Chaldea, Fate World.

"Hello? Hello? Can the Chaldea Master hear me?!" Reuel called out.

"Let's work together to save humanity!!"

---

Antarctica, Earth – Hidden Research Facility

On a glacier over 6,000 meters above sea level stood an observatory-shaped building with modern yet mysterious architecture. Surrounded by high-level concealment magecraft, the facility was invisible even from close range—only a handful of high-class magi could sense its presence.

Chaldea – Organization for the Preservation of Human Order

That facility now lay in ruins. A massive explosion had destroyed most of it.

Among the rubble, a man with orange hair and a white lab coat stood with a serious expression before a massive spherical device glowing with a blue hue.

The name on his coat tag: Dr. Romani Archaman.

Before him stood a young girl—bright orange hair, amber eyes, wearing a white coat and black skirt with a side ponytail. Beside her was another girl with short pink hair and a combat uniform.

"Master No. 48 verified—Fujimaru Ritsuka," Dr. Romani said gravely.

"I know this request may sound like a demand. But I have to ask…"

"If you want to save humanity and protect the future beyond 2016… then from this moment on, you must face seven broken points in history alone."

"Are you prepared to bear that burden?"

Ritsuka looked straight at him. Though small in stature, the fire in her eyes burned brightly.

"…If I can… then I'll do it," she answered softly but resolutely.

Before the conversation could continue, a holographic interface suddenly opened before them. A foreign face appeared mid-air, projected in high-definition.

Reuel.

"Hello? Fujimaru Ritsuka?" Reuel greeted with a faint smile. "So the Chaldea Master is a girl… best of luck, then."

He glanced around, muttering to himself, "How many Unique Points have you gathered here? How's the Lostbelt progression?"

Behind him, a large conference room was visible—several ship girls' heads peeked curiously through the door, watching the scene.

"Hellooo~ friends from another world, hellooo~!" called out Yukikaze, suddenly popping into frame and waving enthusiastically at the camera.

"???" The Chaldea personnel froze, stunned by the unexpected interdimensional intrusion.

Ritsuka jumped in shock.

"W-Who are you?!"

"My name is Reuel," he replied calmly. "We're from the Imperium of Man, an entity from another universe."

With that, an unprecedented contact between universes had begun.

---

Reuel stood tall before the holographic projection, introducing himself briefly to the residents of Chaldea. His gaze swept across the other side of the screen.

It seemed... he had successfully made direct contact with the main protagonist of the Fate/Grand Order world.

However, his expression quickly shifted to mild curiosity.

"Alright... are the humans on your side cursed too?" Reuel asked suddenly, his tone flat but full of meaning.

Ritsuka blinked in confusion. "...'Too'?"

The three Chaldea members exchanged puzzled glances. That word had been used in a way that felt off. As if... the man speaking already knew something they hadn't revealed.

A moment of silence passed before the man in the white coat stepped forward.

"I'm Romani Archaman, head of medical and acting director of Chaldea. Just call me Dr. Roman," he said, polite but cautious.

"And yes, you're right... This place recently experienced a major incident: the Human Incineration. Civilization has been wiped out. Only Chaldea remains—because we stand outside the world's system."

Roman understood he couldn't fully assess Reuel's identity, but the man's ability to initiate cross-universe communication wasn't something to take lightly. In a situation like this, there was no point in hiding the truth.

Reuel nodded slightly, his hands behind his back.

"So… you're going to fix seven singularities, defeat the mastermind behind the burning of humanity, and save the world?"

He smirked faintly. As a veteran FGO player, Reuel knew exactly what point in the story this was.

The beginning of everything. When the world was on the brink of ruin—and history had to be saved from zero.

"???"

"How do you know that?! Who are you, really?" Ritsuka and Roman both stared at him, shocked.

Reuel just gave a small cough.

"Ahem… cough."

"Rather than talk about that, allow me to offer a suggestion."

He raised one hand, with the poise of a galactic negotiator.

"Chaldea offers magical technology and heroic spirits. I provide… money, military force, and shipgirls."

He looked at them seriously, then added:

"How about we join forces, wipe out all the singularities, and hang Goetia from a streetlamp?"

"..."

Three pairs of eyes stared at him blankly. Ritsuka looked the most confused—Mash didn't even know whether to laugh or worry.

---

Half an hour later – Chaldean Surface

Swishh—

A rift in space-time opened, and Reuel descended from the sky along with several shipgirls, moving with elegance. Their steps were firm on the frozen white ground, as if they were diplomats from a heavenly kingdom.

If speaking through a hologram felt insufficient… then this was the time for a face-to-face meeting.

Fujimaru Ritsuka, Dr. Roman, and Mash Kyrielight watched the group of strangers with curiosity and caution.

Their uniforms were pitch black, adorned with the golden double-headed eagle insignia of the Imperium of Man. A military aura and sense of grandeur radiated from them.

As if they had come from a secret organization that stood behind the shadows of human history.

Roman raised one hand, eyes narrowing.

"Can you really travel across space and time? You… come from another world?"

His expression was even more serious than when he had pleaded with Ritsuka to save humanity.

"Uh-huh," Reuel replied lightly. "Solomon—uh, I mean, hello, Dr. Roman."

He shook hands with each of them respectfully. Roman and Mash weren't too surprised. They were used to supernatural oddities. In fact, they seemed calmer than they had been around the Demonic Pillars during the Taisho era—or even the real Muzan.

Only Ritsuka looked like he was buffering, his eyes darting left and right, trying to process this new reality.

Ting—

The scanners in Richelieu and Da Feng's hands lit up automatically. Their military shipgirl instincts kicked in immediately. They began scanning their surroundings.

But their expressions instantly changed.

"Commander," Richelieu said quietly, her tone heavy.

"Outside this facility… humans… not—no, not just humans. Time and space in this place… have already collapsed!!"

If the world Reuel came from was a ruin after biological destruction, then this world was far more chaotic—human existence itself had been erased. The space-time around Chaldea was unstable. This world… had been forgotten by history itself.

Chaldea was merely a space station drifting among the wreckage of dimensions.

Reuel looked up at the sky filled with cracks of light and emptiness.

"I see," he murmured.

"Humanity in this world… really is on the brink of extinction."

But his gaze hardened again. He looked toward Ritsuka.

"But... it looks like there's still a chance to save it."
