Long ago at the beginning of the world, if it could even be called one, a divine spirit was born.
He made a world creating divine construct that separated the primordial substances of the planet creating the sky and the earth.
No one knew who that being was.
Not even the king who possessed an insight superior to the gods of heaven.
All that was certain was that it was a God.
Some believed it might have been Apsu, Tiamat or some other founding god. But there was no way to find out if that was true now after the rebellion led by Marduk, son of Ea, the new king of the gods and the attack of the Umbral Star that killed the others.
Maybe the god Ea, who killed Apsu, a founding god and the husband of Tiamat even usurping his domain, might have known something about it. But after the rebellion against Tiamat ended he became extremely reclusive and seldom took any action or left his dwelling.
Even the king who hated the gods felt a sense of acknowledgment for this god, he might not like the gods, including him, but he aimed to recreate the achievement he accomplished in his myth.
So he set his sight on this one divine construct left now ownerless.
But it lacked a form and couldn't even be wielded as a weapon. All it served to was, in a sense, creating the world. But It had already accomplished its purpose.
For the same reason, even though it possessed the power to affect an entire world, when the planet was in danger it chose to borrow the human concept called 'weapon' and created a new divine construct in the form of a sword to destroy Sefar.
It was essentially a discarded tool that served no more purpose, neither for the planet nor its creator, if said creator still existed after the white titan's invasion.
He was aware that the gods thwarted his potential as they only wished for him to accomplish his job of helping establish the base for their continued existence.
So the king offered his own other self to give form to the formless tool. In exchange it would become his alter ego by fusing with him.
Like a sort of symbiotic relationship. And even obtained its memory of the beginning of the world and about ■■■■.
□□□□■■■○○○■□■□●●■□□■■
■■■■■ □■■■□■■
■■■□■□●●■■■■□□□□□□■□
He named his alter ego Ea.
Symbolizing his intent to sever any connection between men and gods and destroy their aspirations.
Like the god Ea did, when he started to sever the ties between the new and old generation of gods by assassinating his father Apsu.
After consolidating it took a shape reminiscent of a sword but totally different, calling it one is somewhat of a stretch but there was no better way to describe it.
And so it became The Sword Of Rapture.
A weapon made to be used against a world.
And now it clashed against the strongest weapon ever created by the gods.
The result was obvious.
The world ended.
From the sky the red star that shined brighter than the sun teared down everything. All that remained now was only the stars of various constellations in the cosmos.
In this void people and animals floated unable to move a single muscle of their bodies. Instinctively they could feel their death approaching and braced themselves ready for their demise.
But then light enveloped everything in this still cosmos and the world came back anew around them.
The scene of the people clutching their chest in relief was caught in the king's eye as he gave a chuckle. After all, he doubted that this would happen only once from now on.
In the center of their battlefield, at kilometers and kilometers of distance from any human establishment, the two were surrounded in a white pillar of light that pierced the sky, warped space, created and disintegrated matter as their clash was about to come to an end.
'To think he could take this head on…' Surprisingly the king wasn't really angry at the doll now, he was a bit disappointed. After all his efforts, this doll who was now weaker thanks to obtaining the wisdom of humans, was still capable of contending against Ea.
'Should I get rid of my divinity?' He was seriously contemplating giving up entirely on this part of himself. If he did, he was sure that he would be able to overpower the doll using Ea in their next clash.
If he did he would not be weakened by the doll and the doll would be weakened by not being able to feed on his divinity.
But that would mean sacrificing his plan. If he gave up on his divinity now he wouldn't be able to get it back any time soon. His strength would fall and after defeating the doll his plans would either be pushed forward or never start at all.
'No, even without it I can still be hailed as the last god of humanity as long as they continue to be in awe of my power under my tyranny. If I do so I can-'
"Are you ready for the next one?" The doll asked the king, its expression one of anticipation.
The excitement in its eyes momentarily interrupted his train of thoughts, no, it completely cut it off.
"What am I even thinking about…" He let out a low mumble to himself.
'Give up on my divinity to gain the advantage? I never give up on anything, I am the one true king.'
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" And so the king laughed his concerns away.
"Yes, I am more than ready, you clump of clay. Actually, I can do this all day so worry about yourself." He reassured it as a wild grin formed on his face.
"Is that so?" The doll continued smiling as the world below him started shining once again. "Then this time for sure I'll bring you down with my chains."
In the sky the crimson star surrounded by red wind currents shined once again as well. "I would like to see you try and do that, scum." The king continued smiling as well and couldn't stop doing so.
The doll's whole body morphed into a weapon and shot toward the sky.
The king's sword became a red comet and fell to the earth.
The world lost all sounds and colors.
And soon after–
–The world ended once again.
And so another three days passed.
They had clashed for seven times.
For seven times the world was destroyed.
For seven times the world was reborn anew.
To break the stalemate they continued resorting to battling again.
Their confrontation changed location continuously, from hills and mountaintops to jungles, from jungles to deserts, from deserts to oceans, from oceans to icebergs.
Amidst razed mountains, falling trees, sands that turned to glass, frozen waters and melted ice they never stopped fighting.
CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG
A golden axe swatted away the incoming chains and then struck the ground, rising the earth like a small mountain to attack the enemy.
BOOM
The small mountain was crushed as the doll breaked through like a ram.
"Tired already?" The doll asked with a smile that showed its teeth.
"As if, Idiot." The king laughed back, blocking his charge swinging the axe.
CLANG
The doll's arm was destroyed and the king's axe flew far away.
That axe was the last of his weapons.
The doll instead made a new arm out of clay to heap its wound and launched another attack.
But the king wasn't done yet. His treasury may now be out of weapons but not out of treasures.
THUK
He took out a chair from his vault and smacked it on its face.
"Out of weapons already?" Initially surprised by the chair, the doll recovered its bearings and asked curiously.
"Humph, weapons are a but a fraction of my treasury, I have much more in store than you could ever imagine." The king snorted back as his vault began firing bricks and gems as projectiles.
BANG BANG BANG BANG
"Isn't that a bit too extravagant and wasteful now?" The doll couldn't help but be somewhat exasperated despite the danger of the projectiles.
"So what? I can afford it, if you don't like it just let yourself be hit then." He smirked satisfactorily, after all he could indeed afford to.
And so the battle continued once again without rest. The doll used its clay to continuously fight and make new weapons, but while the doll looked fine in appearance its body slowly changed, now its hair was shorter and its height was slightly shorter.
The king instead used various concoctions and elixirs from his treasury to restore his wounds but fatigue was evident on him. He fought with everything he could grasp from his treasury to attack the enemy.
Pots, beds, plates, glasses, clothes, shoes, gold, meat, vegetables, fruits, bones, wine, musical instruments, carriages, statues, bread, rocks, trees, boats, buckets, tables, sticks, spices, etc…
He used everything he had in his possession as weapons to attack the doll.
The fight continued like that for another three days.
Now they were fighting with their bare hands in a battle of wrestling. They punched, kicked and threw each other around like beasts that lost their reason.
At one point both of them fell down amidst half melted and half frozen mud.
The king's treasures were now running quite low and the doll's remaining clay was reduced to only a 1/10 of it.
"Ha ha ha ha, well…" The king spoke first as they laid in the mud. "I guess now there is no way to determine a winner without leaving two corpses, huh."
"If I have to be honest I don't have the confidence to win this fight right now." The doll chuckled to itself.
"Idiot… what kind of victory is it if I also die? At most… it's a tie" The king retorted back, correcting the doll. "No, it definitely is a tie."
"Is that so…" The doll mumbled in a low voice.
"..."
"..."
Silence settled between the two of them for a while. In the sky stars illuminated the night's sky, and for a second… it seemed like time stopped as they took in the moment in their minds.
"Pfftt, AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH" And so amidst this chaotic yet in a way impossibly beautiful scenery the king gave the most heartfelt laugh of his entire life.
"....hhmm, AHAHAHAHAHA" The doll also ended up laughing with joy, as if mirroring the king's emotions.
Turning his head to the side the king looked at the doll from the ground. "You know what, doll?"
The doll just looked back at him waiting for him to continue.
"Now, unlike before, you are certainly human." Surprisingly the king complimented the doll without holding back.
"...Thank you and, well, I'm sorry about your treasures." The doll became somewhat flustered by the compliment and ended up giving an apology to the king for his valuables.
"Don't be… it was worth it to use them against someone worthy of it…just like you." He showed no remorse for his treasury, for him it was all worth it after this battle. "Also, even if it will take a while I will get it all back, so don't worry about it."
"I see…then I'm glad." The doll answered, somewhat relieved about it.
"..."
"..."
Silence came once again between them for a few seconds.
"Hey." Then the king decided to break the silence once again to ask an important question.
"Yes?"
"What did you say your name was again?" He asked, smiling with an unusual warmth in his voice.
"Wouldn't you already know that though?" The doll tilted its head in doubt.
"Yes, but you see, presenting oneself to another by yourself is also a way to show mutual respect."
"..." Its eyes widened in surprise from the question momentarily before a smile came back on its face. "My name is Enkidu."
"I see… It's nice to meet you Enkidu." He looked straight into his eyes as in his chest felt that, for the very first time ever since he was born, he finally met someone who–
"My name is Gilgamesh."
–he might call his friend.

FLUTTER FLUTTER
I opened my eyes, waking up from what seemed like a dream that lasted forever.
The first thing that came to greet me as woke up was of course–
"Oh! You finally woke up brat. Did you have fun sleeping like a rock?"
–the voice of a now familiar man.

Hello there I hope you enjoyed also I'm sorry for the delay i kind of forgot because today I was tired.
For the origin of EA it's all made from me, gotta say that i wrote this chap before they made that shitty dialogue in fgo between Noah and gil but it shouldn't contraddict it.
Anyway for the destroying and rebirth of the world it's all canon, shamhat the divine prostitute had witnessed this fight and gave this exact testimony. Gotta understand gil servant ain't comparable to him when he was alive, the only servant version that is comparable is the one on the mooncell, all other are downgraded especially outside of fgo where servants don't have indipendent vessels.
So now I have a bad and good news.
The bad one first, the next few chapters(namely 5 of them) are gonna be very slice of life in a sense or informative as I will be giving more information all around.
The good news is that as of chapter 27 in the ones I already prepared (so 6 chaps from now) the boy's arc OFFICIALY finally started. We are gonna concentrate on our boy a lot in the next few chapters anyway but until chapt 27 it's pretty much all one big ass prologue.
If you liked the chapter or the story so far in general please leave comments, reviews and maybe even a few power stones.
See y'all next week.
