"That's right, Alvida here is a devil fruit eater. She ate the Sube Sube no Mi(Slip-Slip Fruit), and almost everything slips off of her, even bullets and cannon fire, but the price for that power is weakness to the sea."

"It's simple, everyone who eats a devil fruit becomes unable to swim. For example, if you were to drop her into the sea, she would sink like a rock and die by drowning."
"Whoa, who would have thought the pirate life would be so interesting?"

"Everything Shanks became a member of the four emperors about a year ago; he's the leader of the infamous Red Hair pirate crew. A big reason he's so famous and is considered to be in the same class as the strongest man in the world, Whitebeard, is because of his top officers, Benn Beckman, Lucky Roux, and Usopp's father, Yasopp.
"Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that Chaser is this brat's father?"
"That's right, his father may very well be the world's greatest sniper because you don't get any better than Yasopp, a senior officer of the Red Hair Pirates."
"Hey, why are you ignoring me? How did you know Yasopp was my old man?"
"Well, the reason is straightforward. Shanks and his crew are very good friends with my younger brother, and he said that when your father got drunk, he would talk about you."
"Oh, really, I never thought my father would be so famous, oh, and by the way, Ace, is it ok for him to be sleeping this much?"
"Let him Zoro like sleeping, so he should be fine, but I'm grateful to you, Usopp; never did I think that you would treat us to such a great lunch as soon as we arrived here."
"What do you mean by treating you to lunch? I never said I'd pay for your lunch; I only said I'd show you a place where you could eat good food. I never said I would pay for your lunch; besides, I don't even have any money."
"Fine, I'll pay. Oh, by the way, there's a rumor that a rich family lives here. Is that true?"
"Yeah, that's right, they don't live too far from here. Why are you asking that?"
"What do you mean, why? So we could rob them, of course, what type of pirates would we be if we didn't rob rich people."
Thud. After hearing what I said, Usopp passed out again. Man, young Usopp was a bigger coward than the Usopp I knew. Well, I have to remember I'm three years ahead of schedule. Besides, if he joins my crew as captain, he'll be my responsibility to look after.
