Chapter 108 - Chapter 102: The Crimson King's Offspring? Immortal Lizard Vs. Duke

The old man's narration came to an abrupt halt.

The curiosity of the livestream audience was successfully ignited.

What decision?

In the next frame—

A staff member holding a microphone approached Dr. Clef.

> "Dr. Clef, may I ask your opinion on Dr. Kondraki's involvement in this incident?"

Clef's eyebrows lit up immediately.

> "Absolutely, no problem!"

> "Do you think there was a flaw in Dr. Kondraki's termination plan?"

To everyone's surprise, Dr. Clef responded in the most unexpected way:

> "I see absolutely nothing wrong with Kondraki's plan. Not at all."

Even the interviewer was stunned.

> "Seriously?"

Clef nodded earnestly:

> "Exactly. He had a primary termination protocol, backup plans, and even contingency strategies. The fact that it didn't work wasn't his fault. The loss of MTF-P-2 was tragic, but it was an unforeseeable outcome of moving a Euclid-class object…"

The interviewer cut him off, taking a sharp breath.

> "Understood. But let me ask—what if everything he did wasn't part of any plan at all, but just… something he wanted to do?"

Dr. Clef burst into laughter.

Looking around, he grinned:

> "If that's true, then Kondraki Boshen is a suicidal lunatic. But that definitely can't be the case—"

His sentence froze mid-air.

The interviewer quietly placed a file on the table.

> "Here's Dr. Kondraki's official termination plan: Step One—use cat piss and a loaded pistol. Steps Two through Five—'wing it,' 'adapt to the situation,' 'hope for the best,' and 'put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye.'"

Dr. Clef's laughter stopped dead.

Meanwhile, laughter erupted from audiences in both worlds.

> "This guy is a damn legend!"

> "'The boat will straighten when it reaches the bridge'... I'm crying from laughter!"

> "I can already imagine the look on Clef's face!"

> "I declare: Dr. Kondraki is the face of the Four Horsemen. War! Coolest doctor ever!"

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D., the atmosphere was bizarre.

Even with old-school Nick Fury present, no one dared laugh too loud.

Instead, they held it in—painfully.

Nick Fury sighed and turned back to the screen.

> Just how far will this absurd circus go?

The interview ended with Clef shouting incoherently.

The scene transitioned—

Dr. Kondraki appeared again, storming through a hallway on the seventh floor.

He forced his way into a lab, grabbing a set of prototype high-voltage cables made of SCP-143 alloy and nano-carbon fiber.

Suddenly—

The Duke's voice roared once more:

> "I will tear you apart and—"

But what greeted him was heavy suppressive fire from security!

Rat-a-tat-tat!

Rat-a-tat-tat!

Despite the response, SCP-083 couldn't be contained.

Teams 4, 8, and 14 were completely wiped out.

Kondraki snatched a pair of handheld speakers from a Safe-class containment room.

He rushed from the facility into Corridor D-3.

The Duke followed closely—completely unhinged.

He started destroying everything in his path.

Though he couldn't catch up to Kondraki due to the latter's speed boosts, he wasn't far behind.

Why?

He walked through walls.

BOOM!

A thick cement wall crumbled like tofu under his strength.

Bullets bounced off him. Nothing could stop him.

Kondraki sprinted straight toward the Keter-class containment zone.

He reached a node—but his clearance wasn't high enough to proceed.

He stopped at the gate and pulled something from his lab coat—a strange device shaped like a cone with a pistol grip.

Suddenly—

The Duke arrived.

He stood before the massive gate, murder in his eyes—practically radiating killing intent.

It seemed Dr. Kondraki was cornered.

The livestream chat exploded with anticipation.

Yet on screen, Leon Lake and several doctors suddenly looked grim.

Even Dr. Clef could be heard muttering under his breath:

> "This lunatic…"

In the video—

Kondraki backed up, hands raised.

> "Alright, alright... look where we are, Duke."

He leaned against the wall behind him—no way to retreat.

But instead of panicking, he smiled that same irritating smile:

> "Wanna know what's behind Gate No. 1?"

Blood dripped from the Duke's mouth.

He glared at Kondraki like a predator toying with prey.

His rage had hardened into hatred.

He wouldn't end this quickly.

He wanted to play—just like a cat with a mouse.

> "Not interested. I already sealed off this entire zone. You're trapped in here, Doctor. Trapped with me."

Then—

He sniffed the air and grinned ferociously:

> "I'm going to enjoy every second from now on."

HA!

He was met with an unapologetic sneer from Kondraki.

The Duke narrowed his eyes. He didn't understand—

Why was this fool still smirking?

> "I knew you'd do this," Kondraki said. "Granted, this isn't the best place for a tactical retreat… but I still have one last card to play."

The Duke's gaze flickered—but he stayed composed.

> "What is it? More of those stupid butterflies? You can't run forever. I'll find you."

> "Oh man, I cannot wait to see your face," Kondraki grinned, raising the megaphone in his hand.

> "But first—why don't we invite our friend out of his little room?"

The livestream exploded.

> "Wait. No way—he's calling in another SCP?!"

> "A backup expert?! Who?!"

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents leaned forward in their seats.

Nick Fury clenched his jaw.

This just took a very dangerous turn.
