Dr. Kondraki swaggered away, casually carrying the Duke's skull.
The moment this scene appeared on the screen, the Marvel universe audience went into an uproar.
No one expected Dr. Kondraki to finish the execution in such a fashion.
Even more shocking—after all the chaos he had caused—he simply walked away?

Livestream Chat
> "WTF? He just left like that?"
"What else would he do? His mission was to terminate the Duke—mission accomplished. Time to go."
"Yeah, except every major containment breach at Site-19 seems to happen when he's around!"
"I'm still speechless… Kondraki is insane. If I were an O5, I'd be livid."

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters
A group of agents stood frozen, staring blankly at the screen.
Their expressions said it all: Is this actually allowed?
Even Nick Fury—usually unreadable—looked stunned.
He had asked for SCP-083's termination, and Kondraki had delivered… but in the process, he'd caused multiple containment failures.
Just remembering Kondraki riding SCP-682 was enough to make Fury wince.
And worse—682 wasn't the only thing he'd let loose.
SCP-173 was now on the loose too.
Containing that thing again would cost lives.
And those were just the obvious breaches. Who knew how many other anomalies had been set free?
It was at that moment that Fury finally understood the old man's earlier remark:
> "In hindsight, it would have been more economical to just shoot Dr. Kondraki."
At this point, the threat posed by Dr. Kondraki far outweighed any single Keter-class anomaly.
---
The video ended, and the auditorium erupted with chatter from various doctors.
> "Why does he always make things worse?"
"I can't believe we work for this guy. I'm this close to quitting."
A familiar voice suddenly spoke from behind Leon Lake and the others.
> "What are you looking at?"
Without turning around, one doctor replied:
> "Oh, nothing—just watching our boss single-handedly destroy one of the Foundation's largest bases."
> "Huh. Impressive."
Someone spotted who had arrived and quickly tried to warn him:
> "Bro… maybe don't talk like that right now."
But the complainer waved him off.
> "Relax, it's not like he knows it's me. And even if he did, I'd…"
He turned—and froze.
Dr. Kondraki was right there.
> "What? I'm loving this conversation already."
The poor doctor swallowed hard, looking around for an escape.
> "I… uh… I think I've seen enough. I'm going for a walk."
> "Don't leave so soon." Kondraki slung an arm over his shoulders and grinned at the others. "Anyone want some popcorn?"
---
After sufficiently scaring the man, Kondraki let him go. The doctor bolted without a second thought.
Now only Leon Lake and Dr. Clef remained at Kondraki's side.
Even someone as brazen as Kondraki felt a little awkward under their stares.
> "What? Didn't I complete the mission perfectly?"
> "Perfectly?" Dr. Bright scoffed, patting him on the back. "Sure… let's call it that." He shook his head and walked off.
Dr. Clef crossed his arms.
> "I didn't know you had this kind of… talent. Maybe next time I terminate a Keter-class, I'll ask for your help."
And with that, Clef left too.
---
Kondraki opened his mouth to respond, but Dr. Gears spoke first.
> "Congratulations."
> "Congratulations? On what?"
But the others were already walking away like he was contagious.
Feeling uneasy, Kondraki turned to Leon.
> "What's going on? Why are they congratulating me?"
> "Maybe they mean congratulations for crossing 'ride 682' off your lifetime to-do list?"
Kondraki froze.
> "…Huh?"
> "If you still don't get it—look at the big screen."
Kondraki turned stiffly.
Onstage, a massive banner read:
"Dr. Kondraki – Congratulations on Becoming Famous… Again."
Leon clapped him on the shoulder with a grin before walking out.
---
Just as Leon reached the door, someone stopped him.
> "Sorry to take some of your time."
The interviewer didn't wait for an answer.
> "What are your thoughts on the SCP-083 termination project?"
> "The termination was successful."
The interviewer frowned.
> "And your thoughts on Dr. Kondraki's… destruction of Site-19?"
> "I feel sorry for what happened to Site-19."
> "So you'd consider him a potential threat to the Foundation?"
Leon's expression shifted almost imperceptibly.
After a long pause, he replied:
And he walked away, calm as ever.
---
The livestream audience didn't think much of it.
But inside S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury's frown deepened.
Something about Leon Lake's reaction didn't sit right.
And as he listened, he noticed similar interviews echoing throughout the hall.
