The chains pierced Bestla's eye and belly. Golden blood fell from the sky and bathed the earth in a very beautiful pale golden hue.
Bestla let out a painful groan, the chain piercing her eye writhed like a snake, causing even more pain to the goddess of storms.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Under Godwyn's calm eyes, Bestla began to laugh uncontrollably. He had to admit, he was genuinely confused as to why she was laughing.
Looking at Godwyn with her only intact eye, Bestla smiled, showing a terrifying smile full of madness. Blood stained half of her face, making her even more terrifying and insane-looking.
"You are no different from him, just like your father." Bestla spoke, but each of her words made Godwyn's face change drastically. He hated it when someone compared him to Odin. He had absolutely no resemblance to his father's monster.
"Look at you, killing your half-brother, killing your grandmother, will you kill your whole family? Don't you think that's similar to Odin?" Bestla continued speaking with a tone full of madness and sarcasm, her single eye staring at Godwyn with a wide gaze, as if she wanted to remember the face that sent her to Helheim.
Godwyn's face was calm and cold. He looked at the woman who was becoming increasingly mad with a terribly cold gaze. Odin killed Ymir, considered the ancestor of the giants, who, for generations, was his great-grandfather, because Bolthorn, the thunder giant, was Bestla's father and Ymir's grandson.
Vé and Vili, Odin's brothers, had not appeared for a long time. Especially since Vé and Vili were respectively the first and second in the line of succession. For Odin to have inherited the Throne of Asgard, both brothers would have to die or be absent for a long time...
"It seems my uncles were killed by the All-Father or both are imprisoned until now." Godwyn commented with a touch of sarcasm. Honestly, he wasn't surprised by such a thing at all.
But the next moment, he couldn't laugh anymore, because just as Bestla had said, he really resembled Odin in that regard.
Looking at his own hands, Godwyn seemed to see them stained with golden blood. Looking down, he saw himself on a mountain of skulls, blood, and bones.
"How many will die for my ambition to be realized?" Godwyn murmured, remembering Gaia's words.
Blinking, Godwyn saw that the blood on his hands had disappeared and the mountain of skulls, blood, and bones had also disappeared. A determined look shone in his golden eyes. He looked at Bestla and said calmly.
"I can admit that I am similar to him in this aspect, but believe me, I will not be just any god; my existence will not be summarized in love affairs or endless fights. I will be a god who will bring change to this world."
"The New Gods will not be like the old ones; they will have ethics, morals, and responsibility towards the world. We will never be slaves to our desires or aspirations. They will need a beacon to guide them, and I will be that beacon, illuminating their path to a better world."
"Bestla, my grandmother, your death will not be in vain; your divine positions will be used for something better than you ever imagined." Godwyn looked at Bestla and said calmly. He no longer cared if he resembled Odin. Heroes had to make choices and sacrifices to become heroes.
Bestla's response was to spit in Godwyn's face; she looked at the half-breed bastard with contempt, there was sarcasm looking at the extremely hypocritical boy.
"My husband will kill you. He is a Near God-King." Bestla said with a fierce smile. "I'll be waiting for you in Helheim, filthy bastard."
Godwyn didn't respond and waved his hand. Thalia had appeared beside him, floating in the air.
Thalia was surprised to fly for the first time, but she soon got used to it, as if she had always been born to fly in the air. She approached Godwyn and looked at Bestla's horrible appearance. The woman was practically naked, with her nudity completely exposed.
Chains pierced her hands, feet, eyes, and belly, golden blood flowed from the wounds and fell to the ground like a drizzle.
Thalia couldn't help but shiver at the sight before her. No matter how mature she was, she was still a twelve-year-old girl.
"Thalia, kill her." Godwyn said, making Thalia approach Bestla. The girl was flying because he was using the Position of the God of Order, changing the rules around him.
Thalia hesitated, she looked at Bestla with a look full of pity and mercy.
However, Thalia didn't know, but the hesitation, fear, and pity in her gaze made Bestla's face become terribly fierce. "HOW DARE YOU LOOK AT ME WITH PITY, I AM BESTLA, DAUGHTER OF BOLTHORN, YOU FILTHY GREEK BASTARD!!! I WILL KILL YOU, I WILL EAT YOUR FLESH AND DRINK YOUR FUCKING BLOOD!!!! ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHR!!!!!!"
The goddess's furious voice spread for miles and miles. Bestla's curses frightened Thalia, but the girl soon regained her calm. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She knew more than anyone that if she wanted to fight alongside Godwyn for a better world, she would have to become a goddess.
Remembering the burden Godwyn carried alone on his shoulders, Thalia opened her eyes. She wanted to share his burden, even if only a little, she wanted to help. It wasn't fair for him to be alone while she always stayed behind, living safely.
Godwyn said nothing and waited in silence. Everyone must grow, just as an old small green jedi said, failure was the best teacher a person could have.
Thalia looked at Bestla with the same look of pity. She really felt sorry that the woman couldn't really be better. Invoking her spear, the bastard princess of Olympus murmured with a determined look. "Please, go to Helheim and be punished for your sins."
Bestla's single eye widened to the extreme at the girl's words. "I AM A GODDESS, I HAVE NO SINS, YOU FILTHY CREATURE!!!"
As Bestla was about to continue, she felt a sharp pain in her heart and looked down, her gaze calming as she saw the spear piercing her heart.
Looking at the girl again, blood began to flow from Bestla's mouth as she tried to murmur some words, but Thalia heard nothing, only saw her lips overflowing with blood and moving weakly.
Although Thalia couldn't hear, Godwyn heard perfectly.
"You... filthy... half-breed..."
Thalia recoiled and let the spear bathed in divine blood return to its original form. The girl took a step forward and shivered at the expression full of regret.
When Thalia was about to become even sadder, she felt a pair of arms pulling her into the warmest embrace she had ever felt. Unconsciously, she leaned her head on his shoulder, enjoying the warmth and feeling of safety.
"Killing for the first time is a terrible thing." Godwyn whispered gently in her ear as he stroked her back, bringing a certain comfort to the girl. "But remember well, don't try to forget, just try to overcome, only then can you become stronger."
Thalia didn't respond, she just remained embraced by Godwyn, finally getting what she had always envied Annabeth for.
"Godwyn, I am a terrible warrior, I hesitated to kill her." Thalia said with a tone full of guilt, she still couldn't believe that she hesitated at such a crucial moment. She personally saw the woman try to kill Godwyn, but still hesitated to kill her.
Thalia expected to see disappointment or even a feeling of anger, but she only saw a smile on Godwyn's lips.
"That's good, because although we are gods, we are not like gods. We have our human heart and with it we can be better than the gods." Godwyn said with a more than satisfied smile at her hesitation and determination to do what was necessary in delicate moments.
If a twelve-year-old girl like Thalia hadn't hesitated to kill a highly intelligent living being with a human-like appearance, Godwyn would really wonder if Thalia was a psychopath.
"Remember Thalia, we are creating a new world, we don't need cold, indifferent gods who treat life with disrespect." Godwyn continued with a gentle and soft tone.
"Now go and sleep, when you wake up again, you will be stripped of your mortal body and blood, reborn as a goddess."
As Godwyn's words sounded, Thalia felt a terrible drowsiness and couldn't stay awake for another second. The last image she saw was his golden eyes looking at her with a gentle gaze.
Looking at Thalia sleeping comfortably in his arms, Godwyn smiled and adjusted a lock of hair on the girl's face.
Leaving behind a blank playing card with only the Golden Order symbol, Godwyn quickly left the battlefield and disappeared.
Half an hour later, a five-meter-tall man, wearing silver armor and carrying an axe, appeared on the battlefield.
Seeing his wife's lifeless body lying on the ground with horrible wounds. Borr's face instantly became furious. A red light swept everything within a ten-kilometer radius. The next moment, everything was simply erased from existence.
Holding his wife's body, Borr looked at the playing card in his hand with an intensely murderous gaze.
The Norse God of Destruction was consumed by fury and sadness.
