Chapter 59 - Chapter 58 - Before I Leave Again (I)

Godwyn sitting in a chair peeling an apple with a calm expression. He seemed focused and hadn't noticed her awakening.

Looking at him, Thalia couldn't help but smile; she finally felt that she could help Godwyn at that moment. She was no longer Thalia, a demigoddess, but a true goddess possessing the Divine Positions of the Goddess of Storms and Hurricanes.

"Welcome back to the world of the living, princess." Godwyn finally noticed Thalia's eyes open and commented with an amused and relaxed tone. "How are you feeling?"

Propping herself on her elbows, Thalia raised her upper body and looked at Godwyn with a smile. "Terribly strong." She said with a tone full of emotion. Only when you are a god do you understand the difference between mortals and gods.

Thalia knew she was practically a walking natural disaster with consciousness. Honestly, this power scared her. She could destroy a city and kill millions of people with just a mere thought.

The idea that she was a goddess and immortal was still being digested by her, but she found it difficult to believe that she had become a mythological goddess.

"How are things?" Thalia asked, sitting on the bed, she had a serious expression. She knew that the death of Odin's mother would make things intensely tense. Two extremely powerful divine beings had died in less than two months. She would be surprised if the gods weren't suspicious and tense.

"To summarize things, my grandfather went to the front line and simply killed a bunch of minor gods before the God of War, the Goddess of War, and the God of Blacksmiths stopped the God of Destruction's massacre. However, the Goddess of War was severely wounded while the God of War and the God of Blacksmiths had lighter but significant injuries." Godwyn cut a slice of the apple and handed it to Thalia, who ate it without any hesitation.

Thalia's face became solemn. Godwyn's grandfather was very powerful, almost killed Athena and wounded Ares and Hephaestus before retreating. Such a battle record was terrible, especially for the Greek gods who suffered heavy casualties.

"What are we going to do?" Thalia asked with a solemn tone. She knew more than anyone that they could no longer stay in the Norse Pantheon. It could be said that the entire pantheon would probably be completely watched and the chance of them being found was high.

"Our time in this pantheon is over; we're going back earlier than planned." Godwyn said with a helpless tone; he expected to stay six or seven years, but remained less than three months before being forced to return to Greece.

"We're going back to Greece, recruiting more demigods for our organization, and killing minor gods during the war between the Norse and Greek Pantheons." Godwyn said with a calm look.

He didn't plan to kill any important god or goddess for all the members of his organization. If he did that, the situation that was happening at that moment would repeat itself in the Greek Pantheon, and he wouldn't have space to develop his organization.

So, even if the demigods who would join his organization weren't as powerful as him and Thalia, they were still gods and could greatly help the Golden Order.

Thalia's eyes lit up at Godwyn's words; she didn't want to admit it, but she missed New York, her hometown.

"Aren't we going to recruit any Norse demigods?" Getting out of bed, Thalia asked with a confused tone. She could see that Godwyn had no intention of recruiting demigods of Norse origin.

"That's impossible." Godwyn spoke with a helpless tone. "Hotel Valhalla is practically the home of all Norse demigods who have been killed. This means that all of them are warriors of the All-Father; absolutely all of them trust and are loyal to the All-Father."

"Are there no living demigods?" Thalia was confused by the information she had just received.

"Do you think my lovely father would leave demigods loose and able to spoil his plans? It only takes one resentful demigod full of hatred for Asgard to create a big mess. So, coincidentally, all demigods die between sixteen and twenty years old. Some ancient demigods die later in life, but they always die, remaining at the mercy of the All-Father." Godwyn replied with a calm tone, but tinged with sarcasm and pity.

Thalia's face turned pale at the implications of Godwyn's words. If it were true, Odin practically killed all demigods and enslaved them without the demigods themselves knowing they were being enslaved.

"Your father is a monster." Thalia spoke after a brief silence. Zeus was bad enough, but Odin? The Norse God-King's thirst for power made him do anything to stay on the throne and prevent Ragnarok.

"Most God-Kings are a bunch of crazy and paranoid people. Maybe it's their destiny to become like this. Always fighting against a written and ineffable destiny." Godwyn said with a calm tone. He himself didn't know if he would become like this, but he preferred to die than to become a monster like Odin and Zeus.

Looking into Thalia's eyes, Godwyn said with a cold, calm, and even indifferent tone. "Thalia, if one day I become like this, kill me. I prefer to die than to become like the All-Father or the King of Olympus."

"You won't become like that." Thalia said with a serious tone. She would never allow such a thing to happen.

"I know, I'm just saying it as a precaution." Godwyn said, circling Thalia, but he himself knew that the chance of such a thing happening was low, it wasn't zero, especially when he still didn't understand the duty of a God-King.

Thalia sighed with relief, hearing Godwyn's confident tone. She didn't even want to think that Godwyn could become like Odin or Zeus.

"By the way, how long did I sleep?" Thalia asked curiously. She felt that only a few minutes had passed during her unconscious interval, waking up before the Great Will and waking up in the real world again.

"About three weeks." Godwyn said with a relaxed tone, but Thalia's eyes widened to the extreme. For her, it was only a few minutes, but three weeks had already passed!?

"Yes, your apotheosis lasted longer than mine." Godwyn said with a curious tone. He presumed that since he was already becoming a primordial god earlier, the apotheosis process was faster than Thalia's.

Leaving the room with Thalia still stunned by the time that had passed, Godwyn sat at the table where Mimir was reading while turning the pages with a pen in his mouth.

"Congratulations on becoming a goddess, princess." Mimir spat the pen out of his mouth and spoke with a cheerful and lively tone. "I hope you enjoyed gaining immortality."

"It's still strange to know I'm a goddess." Thalia sat next to Godwyn and said with a complex tone.

"I can imagine your mind is full of doubts and confused. Unlike gods, who are born gods, humans need to adapt to the new reality." Mimir spoke with a tone full of wisdom and advised Thalia with a gentle smile.

"My advice is to train and quickly adapt to the new power. When you are focused, you will realize that your concerns are trivial and you are worrying too much for no reason, since being a goddess is no different from being a mortal woman, but with much more power."

Thalia listened to Mimir's words with a serious look; she thought for a moment and nodded, looking at Godwyn with an increasingly warlike gaze full of a desire to fight.

Godwyn knew he couldn't escape the fate of training with Thalia and simply accepted his fate.

"By Frigg's huge and soft ass, the All-Father is so crazy looking for you two that all nine realms are under heavy surveillance. I can't even pitch my tent and earn some money anymore." Brok's angry voice sounded from outside the house before the blue dwarf entered the house with a grumpy expression.

Godwyn's face darkened hearing Brok's words; he looked at the dwarf with his hands opening and closing.

"Why are you looking at me like you're going to hit me? Your mother's ass is famous among the Nine Realms. Giant, juicy, and definitely a work of art of the highest intellectual level." Noticing Godwyn's increasingly hostile gaze, Brok showed no fear and spoke with a lewd and arrogant laugh.

Godwyn's face contorted at Brok's words, but he held back from starting a fight with the blue dwarf. Hearing someone say something like that about your own mother was not something any son or daughter wanted to hear.

Thalia couldn't help but smile, seeing their interaction. She could see that they were truly friends.

"I'm going back to Greece, you blue ice cream." Godwyn said with a calm tone, ignoring the dwarf's proud look.

"Finally, I was already fed up with so many people in this place. Cooking for so many people is a pain in the ass." Brok showed no sadness at Godwyn and his group's departure. The dwarf even seemed relieved by their departure.

"You cooked three times for us; the rest was me and Thalia." Godwyn said, retorting Brok's words. "Your food is trash."

"Trash is what you and the girl made; I've never eaten anything so salty in my life." Brok said angrily. "I'd rather drink milk from a male buffalo than your food again."

Godwyn and Thalia looked at the blue dwarf with a strange expression. From what they remembered, male buffaloes didn't produce milk...

"Get the hell out of my house!!!!" Perhaps noticing Godwyn and Thalia's strange expressions, Brok simply issued an eviction order.

"Admit it, you'll cry missing me, you blue dwarf." Godwyn said with an arrogant tone, but Brok's response was his middle finger with the most sarcastic smile in the world.

To prevent Godwyn and Brok from starting a real fight, Thalia grabbed Mimir's head and pulled Godwyn out of the house. She looked back and shouted loudly. "See you later Brok, take care and tell Sindri he was a great host."

"Fuck you, Brok!" Godwyn shouted before leaving the house.

"Fuck you, Godwyn!" Brok's irritated voice sounded even angrier at that moment.

Godwyn just smiled and knew he would miss this grumpy and ill-tempered blue dwarf.
