Chapter 63 - Chapter 62 - The Garden of Eden (III)

When Gaia spoke her words, Thalia's eyes widened, even being a goddess, she still almost fell from the seat she was sitting on. What did she hear? Gaia wanted her to be the fourth generation Greek God King!?

In the end, after the shock, disbelief, and confusion, Thalia looked at her great-grandmother and spoke with a tone full of determination.

"I refuse." Her firm, clear, and even calmly cold voice reverberated throughout the bar.

Thalia had to admit, Gaia's proposal was extremely tempting, but when she remembered that she wanted a better world for everyone, including demigods, her emotion calmed down. The Greek Pantheon could not change, but the Pantheon she and Godwyn created was the reflection of both their dreams. How could she abandon her dream to accept the throne of a decadent, hedonistic, and cruel Pantheon?

"Is my Pantheon so bad that such a small goddess refused?" Gaia murmured to herself with a tone still surprised by the thirteen-year-old girl's refusal. She couldn't believe that a deity actually refused the Greek throne!

They were one of the three most powerful pantheons in the cosmos, not all pantheons could have dozens of primordial deities, but the Greek Pantheon did! However, the Greek Throne, which should be coveted by all gods and goddesses, was refused by a thirteen-year-old girl!

Godwyn looked at Thalia with a genuinely happy smile for Thalia's decision. Taking the Greek throne? Only a madman would accept such a thing. If anyone thinks that being king means controlling everything, they are very wrong.

As one of the most powerful pantheons, the King of the Greek Gods could be powerful, but not invincible or even control all the power of the pantheon. Primordial deities divided the Greek world into three parts, everyone had a faction and no one could control everything.

Even Hades, who controlled the underworld, had to bow his head to Gods like Nyx, Erebus, and Tartarus, especially Nyx and Erebus who had the authority to kill Greek gods as if cutting vegetables.

The sea had Pontus, Oceanus, and other maritime deities. Heaven had Aether, Hemera, and other deities.

So, being King of the Greek Gods was not all that everyone imagined. Zeus could not control such ancient and extremely powerful beings. Honestly, if these gods wanted to, they could depose Zeus. Just as Gaia was doing at this very moment.

Do not underestimate the network of contacts that such an ancient goddess possessed. The only reason Typhon lost was because he was an arrogant fool.

"What a pity, you would be a good queen of the gods, you could give the Pantheon a new appearance." Gaia said with a tone full of disappointment. She didn't lie, she felt that Thalia could transform the Greek Pantheon, even if only a little.

"It's easier for the gods to rebel against me when I forbid a lot of things." Thalia said with a tone tinged with amusement. She would forbid many things, including the murder of mortals without valid reason.

Would the gods accept to respect a race they consider inferior? The answer is no, they would not respect them. Who would respect an ant that they could crush with just one slap?

Gaia looked at Thalia and understood the implications in her words. A smile appeared on the goddess's full lips. "Dear Thalia, you are young, practically a baby in my eyes. I have lived for millions of years, in that time, you realize that morals, rules, and laws are nothing more than an illusion coming from your own mind."

"The death of mortals is irrelevant in your long immortal life, you will realize that when one dies, ten others are born, so why worry about feeling guilty for something so insignificant?" Gaia said slowly as she drank the Whiskey with an unchanging smile on her lips.

Thalia looked directly into Gaia's eyes and did not hesitate to speak her mind. "I may be young, you are right, I am a baby in the eyes of a being millions of years old, but I will never stop seeing life as something precious."

The girl continued speaking with an increasingly determined tone, as if each word only confirmed her determination.

"People don't have to die because of our actions. Although I know I'm not in a fairy tale book where everyone is good people, I refuse to be a bad person. I would still be myself hundreds, thousands, tens, hundreds or millions of years in the future."

This time, it was Gaia's turn to widen her eyes, she looked with an incredulous look into the electrifying blue eyes that burned like an impregnable flame of determination and conviction, showing that Thalia's words truly surprised the earth goddess.

In the end, a sigh escaped Gaia's lips, the smile reappeared on the Primordial Goddess of Earth's lips.

"I'm used to Greek gods who lack determination, courage, and ambition. I forget that people have different convictions, so it was with Prometheus, Hades, and Atlas." Gaia said with a smile, citing the names of some gods, but because it was Gaia speaking, no god dared to look at the Earth Goddess.

Godwyn looked at Thalia with a bright look; there was relief, pride, and joy in his eyes. He deeply agreed with Thalia's words. Changing was not bad, bad was becoming a worse person due to lack of determination and convictions.

"You chose your companion well, Godwyn." Gaia looked at the golden-haired boy and spoke with a smile. There was a touch of envy in her eyes, which she hid very well. She could see that Godwyn and Thalia had a strong feeling of companionship.

But she didn't know if this feeling of companionship and love could endure in the face of the thirst for power. Many changed with power, especially kings, who became slaves of the throne they sat on.

All God Kings were like this, regardless of gender, age, or determination. All become slaves of their own desires and hostages of their own minds.

"What can I say, I have good eyes for companions." Godwyn smiled and winked at Thalia, who rolled her eyes at her future king's shameless words.

Gaia laughed and brought the whiskey to her lips. "How's your ambitious plan?" She asked, looking at Godwyn with interest, she hadn't forgotten that she had an agreement with the boy. She wanted the Divine Position of Earth from Godwyn's Pantheon.

The Norse God looked at the Earth Goddess and spoke calmly. "Everything is according to plan, there were unforeseen events, but everything is moving towards the end of the Norse Pantheon and the birth of my pantheon."

"Are you going to be able to devour the Norse Pantheon with the other pantheons looking at it full of greed?" Gaia asked with a smile. Even she was full of greed to swallow the entire Norse Pantheon. If the Greek Pantheon swallowed the Norse Pantheon, she could imagine that they would be indisputably at the top of the cosmos.

"They can try." Godwyn said with a tone full of sarcasm, how could he not know the value of a Pantheon? Of course, he knew that everyone wanted a slice of the pie.

However, he was the Future God King of the Golden Order and the Primordial God of Death, he wanted to see who was the fool who would taste death from his spear. His ascent would be marked by a mountain of divine corpses, the golden blood of the gods would be his throne of death!

Looking at Godwyn's confident, murderous, and determined appearance, Gaia licked her lips as if looking at a juicy piece of meat. As she had said before, she had a fatal attraction to determined men.

This was a real man, unlike other gods without ambition and decadent.

Thalia, seeing Gaia's actions, showed a cautious look. At that moment, she didn't think the goddess's previous words were just a joke, even inexperienced in this regard, she could tell that the goddess was practically devouring Godwyn with her eyes!

"Great-grandmother, you are being indelicate." Thalia spoke with a gentle tone, but emphasized the word great-grandmother, as if she wanted to remind her of her age and status.

Gaia certainly noticed the implications in Thalia's words and couldn't help but narrow her eyes. She was a vengeful woman, especially being called old. Looking at Thalia with a smile, she decided to teach the girl a lesson.

Thalia showed no fear before the Earth Goddess's gaze, Gaia might be strong, but she was not weak either, at least in determination.

Feeling the atmosphere was tense and slightly murderous, Godwyn showed a smile and liked being disputed by two beautiful women. However, so that things wouldn't get even more complicated, he decided to intervene.

"By the way, do you want the Divine Position of Earth from the Norse Earth Goddess?" As soon as Godwyn's words sounded, Gaia's head turned abruptly to the side, staring at him with a bright and seductive look.

"You know how to capture a woman's attention, Godwyn." Gaia said with a seductive and graceful whisper.

When Gaia was about to continue, she looked at the door and noticed two familiar auras.

"You have guests, Godwyn." Gaia spoke with a smile, she put aside the Divine Position of Earth for a moment. "By the way, one of these two guests was invited by me."

Godwyn sighed and went to the door to receive the two mysterious gods.

Opening the door, he saw a familiar god and a completely unknown goddess.

"Good evening, Godwyn." Loki, wearing an elegant white and red suit, said with a charismatic smile.

Godwyn rolled his eyes and was not surprised by Loki's arrival, but his gaze focused on the stunning woman before him.

Placing his hand on his chest, Godwyn greeted the goddess with respect and cordiality. "Welcome to the Garden of Eden, a brief place to forget the dirty world outside."

The woman did not respond and extended her hand, velvety with a black lace glove. Godwyn delicately held her hand by the fingertips and gently kissed the back of the woman's hand, but his lips did not actually touch the woman.

"My sister invited me, I hope I'm not a bad guest, Prince Godwyn." The woman's voice was cold, but strangely comfortable like a quiet night.

"It's an honor to have you in my humble bar." Godwyn replied as he gestured for her to enter, which the woman did.

"What a difference in treatment." Loki murmured with a dissatisfied tone, but then, thinking of something, he smiled and under Godwyn's surprised eyes, a woman with long red hair and stunning eyes appeared before him. She wore an extremely revealing and graceful dress.

"This form is quite pleasant." Loki said, entering the bar with a smile on his face.

Godwyn's face twitched again. He remembered that Loki was both father and mother. Including having some mortal daughters and sons with other men. However, seeing Loki's feminine appearance, he didn't blame these men for falling in love with Loki.
