"War is terrible, but a war between pantheons is what's truly terrible. That kind of war makes any war that has happened in human history seem like children playing with soldiers." A thought from Athena, on the battlefield.
----------
Athena's spear lunged forward with a sonic boom, striking the God of Destruction squarely in the chest, forcing Borr to retreat dozens of kilometers while defending himself from Ares's sword, Hermes's staff, and Hephaestus's hammer.
The four Olympians attacked the God of Destruction without fear. Even though Borr was powerful, he was, in the end, still a Lord God who had reached the level of a Quasi-King God. Nevertheless, he was still a Lord God.
Therefore, although powerful, he still felt immense pressure facing four Lord Gods, especially Athena, Ares, and Hephaestus.
"YOU BASTARDS!!!" With a furious roar, a crimson light bloomed around Borr, lashing out in all directions like an extremely powerful energy wave. Even the air seemed to be destroyed in that moment.
A vacuum zone formed in a thirty-kilometer radius. If this weren't the imaginary border between the two Pantheons, all mortals in the Material World would have suffocated in a mere instant.
Athena retreated while using her new shield to protect herself from the wave of destructive energy. The goddess's eyes narrowed, observing the wound on the Norse god of destruction's chest.
Compared to the Greek gods, the Norse gods were physically stronger. This was the main characteristic of the Norse gods, just as the main characteristic of the Greeks was being hard to kill.
However, a physical body could never be as powerful as weapons. No matter how strong Borr was, he bled when attacked with divine weapons. Athena and all the Greek gods knew this, and with their natural advantage of absurd regeneration, they ignored their own injuries and pressed Borr with full force.
Even though Borr was a Quasi-King God, he found himself surrounded and helpless against the Greek gods, who could regenerate extremely quickly. This was already making him furious. It was like being surrounded by cockroaches that couldn't be killed because they were too fast.
Ares's response to Borr's roar was his sword, which pierced the God of Destruction. Despite being severely wounded by the God of Destruction's previous attack, there was a wild, crazed smile on the lips of the God of War and Violence.
"Of all my brothers and sisters, I am probably the most legitimate, you mad barbarian," Ares said with a smile as his sword cut through Borr's flesh and blood. However, Ares's condition wasn't the best either; the god of war was gravely injured.
Grotesque wounds covered his body. Borr's divine energy hindered his regeneration, but nothing too fatal, because even with the slower regeneration, he still regenerated extremely quickly.
The Greek Pantheon was considered one of the strongest because of this broken ability. Even if the other pantheons were strong, the regeneration of the Greek gods was an almost unsolvable problem. Of course, if Erebus and Nyx took away the immortality of the Greek gods, things would be different.
But would the primordial gods themselves weaken their own pantheon? Obviously not, no one was that foolish.
Borr, who was angry, showed a malicious smile and touched Ares's head with his large hand. Ares noticed this and tried to retreat, but it was too late. Red light bloomed from the God of Destruction's hand. When the crimson light touched Ares's face, it seemed as if the very atoms were being erased from existence.
However, Ares still managed to retreat with half of his head still intact, but golden blood rained down upon the land like a pale, golden drizzle. This type of injury was not as light as it seemed. Even with the regeneration of the Greek gods, Ares practically used 70% of his Divine Energy to regenerate!
When his divine energy ran out, Ares simply could not regenerate anymore!!!
This was also the simplest and easiest way to kill a Greek god: simply injure the Greek god repeatedly until there was no more divine energy to regenerate!
Even injured, the remaining half of Ares's face still smiled madly. He looked at Borr with his one eye shining with a violent, red light.
However, in the next moment, Hephaestus appeared on Borr's right side and Athena appeared on the God of Destruction's left. Athena's spear pierced Borr's stomach with extreme violence. Hephaestus's hammer struck Borr's body with even more brutality!
BOOMMMMMMM!!!
If before the rain was just a simple drizzle, now it truly rained golden blood from the sky. A large amount of divine blood bathed the earth, showing how terrible Borr's injuries were.
After Athena and Hephaestus retreated, Hermes used his staff to hit Borr's head, deforming his skull. The fastest god in the Greek Pantheon attacked and retreated so quickly that almost no one saw his attack.
Borr fell to the ground but remained standing, even with his skull deformed, even with his shoulder practically twisted and grotesque, even with the horrible wound in his stomach, he still remained standing without a sign of kneeling.
The God of Destruction spat saliva and blood on the ground and looked at the four Greek gods before him with a smile. Gripping his battle cry tightly, he spoke with an incredibly excited tone. "Those were good attacks, little gods, but let me show you why I made all the Nine Worlds surrender while I was still King of Asgard!"
With Borr's words, an even more terrifying crimson light bloomed from his body, but instead of the crimson light rushing out of his body, it began to flash repeatedly, as if accumulating energy.
Athena's face changed drastically. She didn't hesitate and gave the orders. "ALL SOLDIERS MUST RETREAT IMMEDIATELY!!!"
As she shouted, Athena herself did not stand still and retreated extremely quickly. Hermes was already extremely far away when Athena had shouted. Despite being fat, Hephaestus ran even faster than Hermes, his shoes gained rocket boosters and his fat figure shot forward extremely fast.
"You bastards!" Despite cursing his brothers and sister, Ares also retreated extremely quickly. He was seriously injured and low on divine energy. If he were hit by Borr's attack, he really had a chance of dying!
Borr watched all this with a cold, calm gaze, but there was a touch of sarcasm on his face, as the God of Destruction simply turned and fled even faster than Hermes. He fled. The former King of Asgard simply turned and fled without any hesitation.
If anyone asked why Borr fled, the God of Destruction would raise his middle finger and say, "I don't want to die. If you want to die, stay and die under the siege of these annoying gods."
Athena, who had run extremely fast, felt the danger disappear and looked back with a confused expression. Seeing Borr's figure disappearing from the battlefield, she stopped and showed a genuinely confused, angry, and humiliated expression.
The other gods also noticed this and looked at each other, everyone saw the angry expression in each other's eyes. They had been tricked like children and let the main prey escape the battlefield to recover!!!
"That cowardly bastard!!!" Ares, who only had half of his face left, roared furiously. He never expected a Quasi-King God to stoop so low as to flee like a dog with its tail between its legs!
"We underestimated the shamelessness of these extremely old gods." Athena sighed and commented with a touch of helplessness in her tone. This was the best chance to kill Borr, but they were deceived by Borr, believing that he was a proud and brave warrior who would die on the battlefield.
As for why this was the best chance to kill Borr, it was because she had contacted an unknown god, stating that Thor would not participate in the battle, but now, this wonderful chance to kill Borr had failed miserably.
Even the cold and indifferent Hephaestus had a grim expression on his ugly and grotesque face. The feeling of being deceived was terrible, especially for him, who had to...
(Note: Honestly, I think Hephaestus deserves the title of the Biggest Simp of All Time. The guy was cheated on by Aphrodite with almost every man and god on the planet, but he still loves Aphrodite.)
If it were Godwyn or any normal man, he would probably not even kiss Aphrodite for fear of tasting something suspicious or even vomiting in disgust.
"Let's retreat." Looking at everyone, including herself, who had injuries of varying degrees, Athena spoke with a tired sigh. No one refused, especially Ares, whose divine energy was dangerously low.
In the Norse camp, Borr's furious roar echoed throughout the place.
"THORRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
