James said, "Please take your seats," in a kind and upbeat tone. "Homeroom is about to start."
Adam gave him a look. A wave of icy anger swept over him. He desired to rise. He desired to end his life there, walking to the front of the class.
He wanted to hold him accountable for his deception and the many deaths he had brought about. However, he controlled his feelings. He inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. The plan was not to kill James here now. It was too messy for the public. He must have been more intelligent than that.
Joseph went back to his desk. "I don't know where Philips is" he said shrugging. "I haven't seen him all morning. It's not like him to be absent. Something must be wrong."
Adam nodded slowly. He had a feeling he knew what was wrong. Philips was scared. He was hiding.
Adam needs to speak with him in order to explain his condition, even though he is aware of the reason for his absence from school.
