Adam went to school on foot. He had the feeling that he was in a movie. Other students were giggling and discussing everyday topics like parties and exams. Adam's thoughts turned to the men he had just kill. He had the impression that he was a ghost among people.
At the school gate, he spotted Sophia. She was anticipating his arrival. She appeared frightened and depressed. She was gripping her school bag tightly. Adam was sorry. He was aware that he was to blame for her anxiety.
He approached her. He said quietly, "You are going to be late."
Sophia is still waiting for Adam outside the school, which surprises Adam tremendously. This was not what he expected Sophia to do. He assumed they would meet in the classroom.
She looked up as soon as she heard his voice. Her dejected expression changed to an inclusive, joyful smile. It appeared as though the sun had emerged from the clouds. Adam was taken aback by how delighted she was to see him.
