Chapter 131 - Promised Victory

A moment later Tsunade returned, and without a word unceremoniously grabbed Katsuro's collar as he was dragged away. He didn't bother protesting, he knew her personality and he'd much rather not sleep on the couch, or the ground considering they were at war. And after so long apart he was hoping to get lucky tonight too.

Watching him helplessly dragged away by his wife put looks of disbelief on the Konoha shinobi, their image of Katsuro replaced by a man resigning himself to his fate. It was almost comforting seeing such a scene on the battlefield, the irony put slight smiles to their faces even if they would always see this instead of the invincible leader.

"What did you do?!" Tsunade yelled at him, worriedly, as they arrived inside of a medical tent and quickly placed Katsuro on the stretcher.

"It's not like I tried to get myself killed, y'know," he muttered.

"What was that?!" Tsunade asked coldly.

"It's good to see you too, Tsuna!" Katsuro replied cheerily, wincing at the pain, "the arm was just the price for an awesome new Jutsu I learnt, it's called-"

"I don't care what it's called!" Tsunade struck Katsuro across the face, a bulging red tick appearing on her forehead.

"OW!" Katsuro cried, his body going limp.

"Next time don't be so reckless." She muttered.

"I'll remember that," Katsuro said weakly, smiling.

The Princess of the Senju harrumphed, as she started inspecting and healing her husband's arm hastily, her face contorting more and more.

"What happened to the Jinchurki and the Raikage. We saw the Tsuchikage retreating. How did you deal with the Tailed Beast Bombs?" she asked as she worked.

"I'll tell you later, but we have to finish things up here first," Katsuro absently said.

"Later?" Tsunade growled.

Uh oh, Katsuro thought.

"You're lucky you're in a bad condition right now or else I'd send you flying back to Konoha with one punch!" Tsunade roared angrily, before heaving and returning back to a patronising voice, "honestly you need to learn to control yourself."

Me?!

"Uh yeah of course, you're right Tsunade." The response seemed to satisfy her.

"Now answer my questions," Tsunade frowned..

"Right," Katsuro hopped to his feet, rolling back his shoulders. His arm was now wrapped in bandages but felt much better than it did before.

"I'll just start from the beginning. So, they suppressed my chakra with Uzumaki Sealing Tags, then blasted me with Jutsus which nearly killed me. Obviously they were super smart and I wasn't being arrogant at all, but it made me step up and have lots of breakthroughs, which is why the rest of my body is completely fine. Like, I'm pretty sure that after this my chakra is gonna grow hella again, I haven't been pushed like this in ages. Anyway, then I killed A with my new sword technique. Then I used my wood and earth style Golem, called the Guardian, to put down the Five Tails, and finally the Guardian used a huge Rasengan to put down the 4 Tails. After that, Onoki saw me and decided to run."

His free, and frankly childish speech was a tactical decision, one he hoped would keep it out of trouble from the only one he would have to answer to; he did quite like not being relegated to the couch after all.

Tsunade tried to open her mouth, but the amount of new information Katsuro had just spewed, almost like a list, stunned her.

Dimensional Rend? Wood and earth Style golem that's able to use a giant Rasengan. We saw that happen, but even for Suro, a Jutsu that huge must've been incredibly difficult to pull off. I'll have to ask him about all of it later in detail.

"Killing the Raikage couldn't have been easy though," Tsunade questioned husband, "he's the strongest of all Raikages and is- was- one of the strongest shinobi of this era."

She didn't deny, Katsuro was most likely the strongest shinobi alive, but the Third Raikage was significantly close to his power, and one of the very few able to stand a fighting chance against him.

"My new sword technique- Dimensional Rend. That also came with my breakthrough. I can't understand it fully, but from what I can tell, using extremely concentrated Wind and Lightning style around my sword pushing my muscles beyond what they could endure. My strike can reach a speed that no one else can match, and it becomes so precise, it can separate the bond between literal molecules, pushing away air, and even atoms and therefore creating a temporary vacuum in the truest sense for a split second, almost like Onoki's Particle Style in effect. It creates the cleanest, smallest, fastest, most deadly sword strike in existence. A technique that can cut through anything. An unstoppable cut." Katsuro proudly declared his explanation, "Of course, it came with the price of my arm since it couldn't handle the force but that's all good, it was already really injured before I used it because of A, but I took care of him. Just a minor price-"

It was like he became a child before her, and children get scolded.

"MINOR PRICE?!" Tsunade punched Katsuro into the ground, huffing in anger, "YOUR ARM WAS JELLIFIED! YOU CAN'T USE IT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH EVEN WITH YOUR STUPID HEALING AND MY OWN! YOU'VE GOT SOME NERVE TALKING ALL PROUD WHEN YOU NEARLY DIED YOU IDIOT!"

Katsuro didn't both arguing back, and instead nodded feebly.

"You're right, I'm sorry for worrying you," Katsuro muttered.

"Whatever," Tsunade muttered.

In her mind however, Tsunade was both shocked and proud. Suro really is a genius. To come up with a technique that precise.

I'm lucky I have such an incredible wife. Katsuro thought, if it weren't for her, this arm would be pretty useless for a loooong time. And even when she's so angry, she is still helping me, healing me with such care…

"I came closer to a loss than I've ever been in my whole life, at the cost of my own arrogance and ego, but I couldn't accept defeat. Not when I had so much things left to do and so many people waiting for me." He looked up at his wife and they both shared a silent smile.

"Now then… let's see if it's over yet," Katsuro said, picking himself up from the floor.

He had left the remainder in the capable hands of his sensei, as with his Shadow Clone still with Kakashi and Rin, he didn't know if he could release it or not. Hence without it, he was pretty much out of juice.

And fortunately as the two exited the tent together, thousands of Shinobi were being treated with tents set up rapidly. But the atmosphere was undoubtedly one of victory.
