Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven: Martial Test (II)

Finally, it was Long Chen's Turn to take the test. He stepped forward, towards the big black stone used to test the qi of the candidates.

The black stone would turn white when someone whose qi has not advanced to the qi advancement levels touched it but when those whose qi has gotten to the qi advancement level touches it, it will turn to the colour of their qi advancement level. And until Long Chen was called, the first forty nine candidates were more of white and very few red spirits.

"Name and age" The attendant asked not lifting his head as he marked the names of people who passed the test.

"Long Chen, Age, Fifteen" Long Chen replied calmly.

"Place your hands on the stone" The attendant said again. He thought that there was no way a fifteen years old would have attained the advancement level.

Long Chen placed his hands on the black stone and it immediately turned orange! Shocking the attendant.

"Ah! A fifteen year old orange spirit?! Ah! Truly a genius! Go to that hall and wait" The attendant said while Long Chen followed in the direction he pointed to.

By this time, Iris could feel that she was at the bottleneck, just a little more push, and she would advance to the orange spirit. But she felt a strong barrier blocking her from advancing. She immediately thought of the qi strengthening pills while also thinking about the body strengthening pills. But she knew that the qi strengthening pills would be very costly.

While she was thinking about this, it was her turn to take the test. Most of the people who failed the test already knew that she used to be a trash and decided to stay and mock her when she failed the test too.

Aside from Long Chen, there was one other orange spirit, who just advanced a while ago so, his qi was not as stable as that of Long Chen who had been an orange spirit for months.

Iris told the attendant her name and age and then placed her hands on the stone.

At first, it did not even give a single colour, earning sneers and sarcastic comments from the youths. But then, it turned white and before the youths could laugh again, it turned red! Making people gasp in disbelief.

"No..... Wasn't she just a trash ten days ago, you cannot tell me that she advanced to a red spirit under ten days!" Someone said, earning more gasps of disbelief.

"That cannot be true!" Someone said.

"Look! The stone is still Changing colour!" Someone reminded.

The stone finally stopped when it showed a mix of red and orange.

"What does it mean?" Someone asked puzzled.

"It means she's at the bottleneck and is about to advance to the orange spirit!" The attendant said in excitement after hearing that Iris advanced from a trash to a spirit user under ten days. Such rare talent! Genius among geniuses!

"Oh my God!!" Someone screamed in shock when the attendant told them Iris's Spirit level.

"How can she advance so much under ten days! This is sick!"Someone said.

"Can I go now?" Iris asked simply and the attendant asks her to go to the hall to wait in excitement.

As Iris got to the waiting hall, she saw that they were only nine people, with she and her brother making them eleven.

As she was about to go over to her brother, someone grabbed her shoulder causing her to emit a chilly aura.

"So, it turns out that you're not just a trash huh?" The person said and came face to face with Iris. Seeing that his face was somewhat familiar, she suddenly remembered the girl she kicked ten days ago.

"You're that Xi fei girl's brother?" Iris asked calmly.

"So you know me? I'm Xi Feng the genius of the Xi family" Xi Feng proudly said. He was the one who recently advanced to the orange spirit and he was of course, Several years older than Long Chen.

"You hurt our family jewel, my younger sister Xi fei and you have to be punished for that. You're to leave this place now and forget about going to the capital city and I, Xi Feng, will consider forgiving you" Xi Feng said proudly.

"I don't take orders for dogs" Iris said simply and walked away, leaving the fuming Xi Feng.
