Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 {Dr. Athena}

As Leticia approached the hospital, she straightened her posture and composed herself. The warm, contented feeling from her afternoon at the café faded away, replaced by a sense of purpose and duty.

She walked through the automatic doors, her heels clicking against the polished floor. The sterile smell of disinfectant and the quiet hum of machinery greeted her as she made her way to the reception desk.

"I'm here to see Dr. Lee," Leticia said calmly to the nurse on duty.

The nurse looked up, recognition flickering in her eyes as she took in Leticia's striking appearance. She quickly composed herself and nodded.

"Yes, of course. He's expecting you in his office."

Leticia thanked her and followed the directions to Dr. Lee's office. Dr. Lee is a handsome young man who is 25 years old who is known as an outstanding neurosurgeon.

"Who is the patient do you want me to help?" Leticia asked as she sat down.

"Thank you Dr. Athena," Dr. Lee said. Leticia was a mysterious surgeon known as Dr. Athena she only does three operations a month.

Leticia nodded, her expression serious as she listened to Dr. Lee explain the details of the patient's condition. She had earned a reputation as Dr. Athena, a skilled surgeon who only took on the most challenging cases and maintained an aura of mystery around her true identity.

As Dr. Lee described the complexities of the surgery and the critical nature of the patient's condition, Leticia's mind raced with possibilities and solutions. Her vast knowledge and experience from countless lifetimes allowed her to approach even the most daunting medical challenges with confidence and creativity.

"Based on what you've told me," Leticia began, her voice calm and authoritative.

"I believe we can proceed with a modified version of the procedure I've been developing. It's a delicate operation, but I'm confident it will give our patient the best chance at recovery."

Dr. Lee recalls the first time he meant Leticia at the table she told him he was an idiot.

Dr. Lee's mind drifted back to their first encounter, a memory that still brought a mixture of embarrassment and admiration to his face. He had been a arrogant and overconfident resident, convinced of his own brilliance, when he first met Leticia.

During a heated discussion about a complex surgical case, Dr. Lee had dismissed Leticia's unconventional ideas with a condescending "You're an idiot if you think that will work."

Leticia had simply looked at him, her piercing gaze seeming to see right through him. Without saying a word, she had proceeded to demonstrate her technique on a model, her hands moving with precision and grace. The result was a flawless solution that Dr. Lee had never considered.

From that moment on, Dr. Lee knew he was in the presence of someone truly extraordinary. He had learned the hard way not to underestimate Leticia or question her methods again.

"Of course," Dr. Lee said, bringing his attention back to the present.

"I trust your judgment completely, Dr. Athena. Let's proceed with your plan."

As they discussed the finer details of the operation.

Leticia and Dr. Lee spent the next hour meticulously planning every aspect of the surgery. They discussed the precise incisions, the order of procedures, and the potential complications that could arise.

Throughout the discussions, Leticia's calm demeanor never wavered. She approached each challenge with a clear mind and a deep understanding of the human body. Her insights were invaluable, and Dr. Lee found himself constantly amazed by her knowledge and intuition.

As they finished their preparations, Dr. Lee couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for his mysterious colleague. Despite their rocky start, he had come to respect Leticia immensely.

"Thank you, Dr. Athena," he said sincerely as they stood to leave for the operating room.

"I don't know what I would do without your expertise."

"Oh I forgot to tell you Dr. Athena, this boy is 2 years old and the nephew of Leonardo Novak," Dr. Lee said. Leticia sighed he had so many siblings one can not be shocked.

Leticia paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly behind her mask as she processed the information. The name Leonardo Novak was not unfamiliar to her; in fact, it was a name she had hoped to avoid for as long as possible.

"Understood," she said calmly, her voice muffled by the mask.

"Let's focus on the task at hand and give this child the best possible care."

As they began the intricate surgery, Leticia's mind wandered briefly to the complexities of her own life and the tangled web of relationships that seemed to follow her. Leonardo Novak was one of nine princes, each with their own unique personalities and ambitions. Forget it she hasn't seen him since she was 10 years old so it has been 7 years.

"Let's start the surgery," Leticia said.

"Yes Dr. Athena," Dr. Lee said.

Leticia and Dr. Lee began the surgery with meticulous precision, their hands moving in perfect synchronization as they navigated the delicate tissues and structures of the young patient's brain.

The procedure was complex and demanding, requiring every ounce of their skill and concentration. Leticia's vast experience and intuitive understanding of anatomy guided her every move, while Dr. Lee's expertise in neurosurgery complemented her abilities perfectly.

Hours passed as they worked tirelessly, their focus unwavering. The surgical team watched in awe, marveling at the seamless collaboration between the two surgeons.

As they approached the final stages of the operation, Leticia paused for a moment to assess their progress. She looked at Dr. Lee, her masked face betraying no emotion, but her eyes holding a silent acknowledgment of their shared accomplishment.

"Please read out the heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, nerve pressure," Leticia said. Her hands were extremely beautiful and delicate making one jealous.

Dr. Lee nodded, his eyes flicking to the various monitors displaying the patient's vital signs.

"Heart rate is steady at 120 beats per minute. Blood pressure is 90/60, oxygen levels are at 98%, and nerve pressure is within normal limits."

Leticia's hands moved with graceful precision as she made the final adjustments, her slender fingers manipulating the delicate instruments with ease. Her beauty was striking, even beneath the sterile attire and surgical mask.

The surgical team couldn't help but steal glances at her hands, marveling at their dexterity and elegance. It was as if she were a sculptor, carefully molding the living tissue into a masterpiece.

As Leticia finished the procedure, she stepped back and surveyed her work with a critical eye. Satisfied, she turned to Dr. Lee.
