A cough from Anna interripted the heartwarming feelings of the group. "You still haven't given me a reason as to why you've changed into a womanizing bastard. Are you listening to my fathers advice about women?"
Cain recoiled a bit as Anna's redirection of the conversation. He could hear Gaius being noisy, protesting that he was innocent inside of his mind but Cain did his best to ignore it. However, before he could say anything, Maris and Jayden came to his defense.
"Cain isn't a womanizer. If anything, we came onto him!" Jayden remarked hastily with Maris nodding her head in agreement like she had transformed into a bobblehead.
"Yeah! That's right! In my case, our first kiss was when we accidentally kissed while I was trying to kill him."
Maris attempt to help didn't go as intended, instead resulting with Jayden and Anna to turn their heads and gave her strange, questioning looks.
