Cain was silent for a few moments longer before he began to speak slowly.
"The long story short is that it was a misunderstanding. She thought I was just like my brother Paigos."
Anna and Jayden frowned at the insinuation and when they directed their gaze towards Maris, the dragon girl lowered her head in shame.
"I don't blame her honestly. It seemes that she has some history with him. What that is though is something I am still in the dark on."
Maris flinched but she knew it was something that she couldn't keep her past hidden from Cain or those he cared about if she wished to remain by his side.
"I am from a small clan of Dragonkin that lives on the outskirts of the Sinthorne Kingdom. I was the eldest daughter of the Village Chieftain...." Cain's eyes widened slightly at hearing that she was actually someone from the same kingdom as him.
