Zara leaned toward Kiyomi and asked softly, "Does any of this make sense to you?"
Kiyomi glanced at the tiny bluenette with a raised brow, silently asking if she was being serious. Her pink eyes flicked between Cain, the Librarian, and the invisible voice of Gaius that kept drifting out of the boy in strange bursts of irritation. After several lingering seconds, she answered in a calm whisper, "Not even a little."
Zara sighed and hugged her hands to her chest. "Good. I thought I was the only one."
Mira was still in awe about the fact that her ancestors teacher was still alive and was now Cain's teacher and had completely lost track of the rest of the conversation.
Mira leaned closer to Cain without even realizing she was moving, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "To think he survived all this time. And you are his student. This is incredible. Do you have any idea what this means for the future of our clan's techniques?"
