Kade suddenly seemed to remember something, and he straightened up a little. "Oh right, Madam Irna told me to let you know you can rest for the day. We'll take care of the things here."
Clint tilted his head slightly and gave a small smirk. "Obviously I'm gonna rest, so I'm gonna go." He turned around, ready to leave, but then Kade's voice called after him.
"I'll return the favor tomorrow, Clint!"
Clint stopped and looked back, but Kade was already running away in the opposite direction, disappearing quickly into the distance.
Clint frowned, confused by his words, but he didn't bother thinking too hard about it. Instead, he just decided to head back to his room.
He walked faster, almost hurrying, because he didn't want to bump into the duke again.
When he finally entered his room, he immediately locked the door and leaned against it with a sigh. "He won't be able to sneak in now, right?" he mumbled to himself.
Then his eyes shifted toward the sofa in the corner.
