Chapter 83: Awaiting the Battle
A clear, powerful male voice echoed in the cloud cave, stunning everyone present for a moment.
Louis turned his head to look at him, also momentarily confused. The other man's attire left him somewhat astonished. "Arcordon, are you... imitating King the Conflagration of the Beasts Pirates?"
The tall man heard this and scratched his head, a little embarrassed. He then pulled off his mask, revealing a handsome face. "Not really," he said. "I figured I might have to do some close-quarters combat this time, so I had Shakky and Rayleigh help me get this outfit." He looked at the mask in his hand, which didn't have as many spikes, and argued, "The difference is actually quite big."
After Arcordon took off his mask, Dorry and Brogy were stunned. They looked at each other, their faces full of disbelief.
White hair, brown skin, black wings, and blazing flames. This series of features gave rise to an absurd idea in their minds.
"Are you... a Lunarian?"
"Your race is actually still alive!"
Arcordon heard them and turned to look at the two giants, a hearty smile on his handsome face. "My name is Arcordon. I'm Louis's elder! I've long heard of your great names, you two legendary captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates!"
Dorry and Brogy heard this and subconsciously looked at Louis, the shock on their faces deepening. "Could it be that you, Louis, are also a member of this race?" As they spoke, their gazes swept over Louis's hair, skin, and the wings on his back. Finally, their eyes rested on his wings, which, apart from their color, were almost identical to Arcordon's.
"That's right. I am a survivor of the Lunarian race," Louis nodded, giving a straightforward answer.
"..."
Dorry gradually came to his senses and accepted this fact. "We all thought you were a user of the Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Model: Seraph. We never thought in that direction," he said with a laugh.
Brogy chugged a barrel of booze and, after wiping the alcohol from the corner of his mouth, laughed. "What an incredible disguise! No wonder you dare to sail the seas so openly."
Then, the two giants' expressions became a little strange, and their tone grew heavy. "Louis, Arcordon, for your race to have persevered to this era... that's truly remarkable!"
Just then, the others who had been scattered around the cloud cave also gathered. Everyone was intensely interested in Arcordon, comparing him with Louis.
After a long while, Uta shifted her gaze to Louis, looking a bit dazed. "This... is this what your Lunarian race is supposed to look like?" This was a little different from what she had imagined from Louis's descriptions.
"That's right. I'm the special one," Louis nodded.
To this, the others who had been with Louis for years complained internally, The difference is huge. To those seeing the true form of a Lunarian for the first time, Louis and Arcordon didn't look like they were from the same species at all. No wonder the people from the World Government hadn't recognized him.
A moment later, Arcordon turned to look at Louis, his expression becoming serious. "Louis, you've sensed the ship I was tracking, right?"
"Avant Heim is already following it. We'll let it do the tracking from now on," Louis nodded. "You flew here from the Sabaody Archipelago. You should go rest and recover first." Louis raised a hand and summoned a prototype Flügel, instructing her to lead Arcordon to a room to rest.
Arcordon heard this and nodded. "Alright!"
But soon, he noticed the two broken weapons mounted on the wall of the cloud cave. He raised an eyebrow and turned to ask Louis, "Is there any steel here?"
"Yes!" With a thought from Louis, a wall in the main hall parted, revealing shelves full of special metals collected from various places.
"You two, please go and move some steel over here, next to your weapons," Arcordon said.
"?"
The two giants didn't understand, but they did as he asked.
Then, Arcordon took a deep breath, and a dazzling white light emanated from his body. A sound like the cry of ten thousand birds echoed in the cloud cave. He enveloped the two weapons and the steel in a shroud of violent lightning.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the cold steel quickly melted and gradually merged into the cracked greatsword and giant axe.
Dorry and the others were stunned. Only then did they realize what he was doing. "Are you helping us repair our weapons?" he laughed heartily. "That's a huge help!"
Soon, the two heavy weapons were completely repaired. The cracks and nicks on their surfaces vanished, and they regained their former sharpness.
After the weapons were repaired, there was still a lot of molten metal left floating in the lightning, which gave Arcordon a bit of a headache. But the next moment, as if he'd thought of something, he looked at Louis with a smile. "Louis, do you have a fondness for wearing armor?"
To this, Louis gave Arcordon a rather surprised look. "Armor? I'll take a set!" Louis himself was a heavy armor enthusiast. He wanted to experience the look on an enemy's face when, after paying a great price to break his armor, they discovered that his skin's defense was far superior to the armor itself. A scene like that would surely be interesting.
Hearing this, Arcordon enthusiastically walked into the storage, brought out some gold, and threw it into the lightning. After scanning Louis's figure a few times, he manipulated the lightning to melt the gold. After the armor components were shaped, he coated them with the molten gold.
Seeing this, Louis began to describe the specific appearance of the components based on a certain image from his memory, coordinating with the forging.
Soon, all the components of a suit of armor were forged and scattered on the floor, which had been laid out by the prototype Flügels.
After doing all this, Louis handed over his Seven Star Sword, asking Arcordon to modify the hilt. A hilt the length of three or four of a normal person's fists was now a bit too short for him.
A magnificent sailing ship flying the flag of the World Government slowly sailed into a fleet of several ships of varying sizes, all of which were also flying the World Government's flag.
After the connecting tools between the ships were in place, a petite figure quickly darted out, heading straight for the largest ship in the fleet. As she ran, the small, dark figure muttered, "My slaves! My precious giant slaves!"
Suddenly, she stopped, looking blankly at the ten warships on the other side, which were spread out far apart, surrounding the entire island.
"Is that... a Buster Call?"
"If they're launching a Buster Call, then why did they have us come over?" The petite, dark figure tilted her head, looking very confused.
"Forget it. The giant slaves are more important!"
She landed on a huge ship and went straight to an old man with graying hair, a barbed whip and a red giant axe at his waist, and black wing decorations on his back.
"Saint Cabanha! Where are my giant slaves?"
The old man named Cabanha crossed his arms, his gaze fixed on the distant warships. "They're in the cabin. Go see for yourself. But don't walk them around here."
"Woohoo!" The petite, dark figure let out a cry of excitement, smashed through a cabin door with her head, and rushed inside.
Cabanha paid no mind to his kinswoman destroying his ship. His gaze was on the erupting warships, but his thoughts had already flown to a bounty poster. He was wondering, where was that person he was so eager to add to his collection?
BOOM—
A few seconds after the sound of cannons firing, the roar carried on the sea breeze to the vicinity of the fleet. A group of young people with extraordinary auras walked out of the cabins, quietly admiring the rare sight of a Buster Call.
Suddenly, the figure with the goat skull helmet seemed to sense something and slowly turned around. "That... what is that sound?" His Devil Fruit ability was special, allowing him to get a lot of information from nature. Although the sea was not as effective as a forest on land, it still had some effect.
Just then, he heard a grating sound that made him uneasy, which puzzled him. The next moment, the eyes beneath his goat skull widened, and he froze on the spot.
At the edge of the horizon, a faint white line was spreading toward them.
"Is that... a tsunami?!"
