Chapter 209: The Nation-Carrying Giant God Soldier
A giant, booming roar echoed from the battlefield, which was filled with smoke and dust. Louis's voice, tinged with a hint of confusion, was heard. "My kinsmen? What about them?"
"Recently, many citizens have come to me, saying that those people with white hair and black wings are very ominous, and their attire is a bit... strange. Many children, and even some of the more timid adults, have been frightened to tears."
Kyros tactfully explained that the attire and aura of some of Louis's kinsmen were too wild. Many people had mistaken them for uncivilized cannibals and had been scared to tears on the spot. He also stated that he had already sought out the two leaders, Artemis and Asmodai, hoping to resolve this matter. But in the end, even those two were powerless.
Therefore, Kyros hoped that Louis could speak up and make those Lunarians—who, despite having outstanding looks and figures, insisted on hanging bones on their bodies and wearing animal skins—dress like people.
"..."
As Kyros finished his tactful explanation, the air instantly became silent. Even the aftershocks from the distant battlefield seemed to momentarily become transparent.
After a long while, Uta was the first to come to her senses. The corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Hey, Louis! You know, even Hajrudin and Goldberg didn't manage to make the children cry!"
On the other side, Ulti and Page One subconsciously turned their heads away, their shoulders trembling slightly.
However, to this, Louis had no particular reaction. Instead, he replied seriously, "I see. I'll have them put on proper clothes."
Louis was not exasperated. Those kinsmen had lived a migratory life in the Calm Belt for too long. That way of life was already deeply ingrained in them; it wouldn't be so easy to change in a short time. But Louis couldn't just let them go on like this. Because they would eventually have to integrate into the populace. They couldn't live like savages for their entire lives. Therefore, Louis responded to Kyros's request very seriously.
Then, Louis added, "Kyros, have your people send three to five hundred sets of clothes to the forest on the other side and give them to them. Just say that I'm the one telling them to change."
Hearing this, it was Kyros's turn to be unsettled. "W-will that be enough?"
"Yes. Go," Louis said.
A strange look appeared on Kyros's face. He clearly remembered that no matter how much Artemis had tried to coax or threaten, she had only been able to get them to agree verbally, but they had shown no intention of changing at all.
To this, Louis, as if seeing this, explained casually, "Don't overthink it. They will not disobey my words." He hadn't asked them to do so before because he hadn't noticed this. But now that he knew, a single sentence from him could solve the problem that Artemis had been unable to.
Hearing this, Kyros also put away his thoughts, nodded, and turned to leave.
After Kyros left, Louis also sat up. In the extremely uneasy eyes of Ulti and Page One, his gaze fell on them.
"Since Yelena isn't here, then I'll be the one to train you— After all, I'm idle anyway."
Hearing this, Page One's pair of dead-fish eyes became even duller, as if he had no attachment to anything. And Ulti's eyes widened. She turned, grabbed Page One, and was about to run.
Be trained by this devil in an angel's skin? What a joke! When we're trained by Yelena, we can at least rest when we're tired. But this devil... he'll even strip you of your fatigue!
However, before the two of them could take a few steps, Louis had already reached out and grabbed them by their collars.
"Wait! I want to go train with Yelena!!" Seeing that she couldn't escape, Ulti subconsciously begged for mercy.
To this, Louis asked with great interest, "What? Didn't you just say she was an idiot?"
Just then, Louis's sleeve was tugged. The slight touch made him subconsciously turn his gaze to Uta, who was beside him. "What is it, Uta?"
"Look over there." A strange light appeared in Uta's amethyst-like eyes as she raised a slender, pale finger and pointed at the distant sky. "What is that?"
Louis followed her finger and looked. At the end of the boundless azure sky, an ant-sized black dot was slowly appearing, gradually heading in the direction of Dressrosa.
The next second, Louis spread his Observation Haki, instantly sweeping across the distant sky and taking in everything there. "It's Hajrudin. He's found a small island he can lift and is carrying it back with his flame clouds," Louis explained softly, a flash of understanding in his eyes.
Hearing Louis's explanation, Uta nodded thoughtfully. "I heard there are a lot of islands near here, right? Why did it take Hajrudin so long to bring just one back?" Ulti, who was being held by Louis, saw that this beating might not land on her after all, and instead blinked her pink eyes and complained.
To this, before Louis could answer, another gentle voice sounded, answering her. "Even among small islands, there are differences in size. Some, Hajrudin can only lift for a little while. But others, with his current stamina, he can carry all the way back."
As the voice approached, Yelena's figure gradually appeared before them.
When Yelena's figure came into view, a subtle change came over Ulti's expression. Her whole body visibly brightened with joy, but what came out of her mouth was, "You're so slow, Yelena!"
Nearby, Page One, who was also being held, heard her and subconsciously said, "Hey, you really shouldn't be complaining about that!"
Yelena heard this and raised an eyebrow. She then strode unhurriedly to Louis's side. Then, she raised her gauntleted hand and gave Ulti a light bop on the head.
"Ow!"
"That hurt!! What are you doing?! It really hurt!" In mid-air, Ulti's gaze became fierce, and she raised her fists in protest.
Yelena stood with her arms crossed, looking up at the island approaching from the sky. "You're becoming less and less cute, Ulti," she said in a casual tone. "You said I was an idiot just now, didn't you?"
"..."
"I told you not to complain!" Page One subconsciously raised a hand to his forehead and let out a long sigh.
Nearby, Ulti looked as if she wanted to say something. But Louis, without any warning, let go, directly letting the two of them fall to the ground.
"That hurts!"
"If you were going to let a girl down, you could have at least said so first!" Ulti exploded again, her eyes incomparably fierce, her whole body as if bathed in anger, her fists clenched tightly.
Behind her, Page One was sweating profusely, his face filled with helplessness. "That's enough, sis!"
"Hanafuda really gave her a fitting name. She really is a bit noisy and annoying," Louis shook his head and subconsciously remarked.
Nearby, Uta nodded in full agreement.
To this, however, Yelena seemed to have a different opinion. She turned to look at Ulti, who was glaring with her eyes, her masked face puffed up like a blowfish. "It's actually not so bad," she said with a smile. "Little Ulti is still very cute. I like her. It's not bad to have such a noisy little sister."
"It's just a pity that your sister is a problem child who likes to think of herself as a man," Louis thought to himself, but did not say it out loud.
Soon, as Hajrudin approached Dressrosa with the island, Ulti, who looked like an angry blowfish, also quickly shed her displeasure. She calmed down and quietly looked at the island being carried by the flame clouds.
"Although it's a small island, isn't this... a little too small—" After a brief silence, Ulti tilted her head, looking quite innocent.
The others heard her but did not answer. Instead, they silently looked at the small island, which looked to be only about a kilometer long and wide, and fell into thought.
At this moment, a similar question flashed in their minds. "This thing... is it an island, or a grassy reef?"
However, Louis had a different opinion from the others. "Although this island is a bit small," he said with a smile, "this is just the beginning. In the future, as Hajrudin's physique, Haki, and fruit ability improve, the islands he can carry will become larger and larger."
"What 'Continent-Puller' Oars could do, Hajrudin can do as well."
"Year after year, it's not impossible to piece together an infinite land!"
"At that time, the story passed down by future generations will be about the 'Nation-Carrying Giant God Soldier'!"
Louis had always been very optimistic about every one of his subordinates. Hajrudin was no exception.
Of course, Louis couldn't just rely on Hajrudin alone to piece together a highland that could withstand a great flood. Louis himself would also control Gaea and try to raise the old continents that had been submerged by the sea.
"Let's go. Let's go and witness the beginning of all this. Gerd and the others have already gone over."
The group, which had been in a fierce brawl, had stopped at some unknown point and had all moved toward the direction where the island was descending.
In the direction of the town, countless residents, who had also left their buildings, were all gathered in the streets, dumbfounded as they watched the island slowly descend toward the edge of Dressrosa.
"Is that—the Golden Lion again?"
"No... there seems to be a giant with horns standing on the island. It looks like the Giant God Soldier - Hajrudin!"
"Hajrudin is carrying an island back with the Admiral's clouds?!"
"Hey... is that cloud his ability—"
"Eh? His fruit can do that too?"
"I don't know."
A few minutes later, Louis and the others stood on the giant rock at the edge of Dressrosa, silently watching as the island, which was about a kilometer in size, landed in the sea and was half-submerged.
Then, Hajrudin, in his dragon-man form, stepped off the island and came to Louis's side. Along with the others, he watched the island that had not been there a few minutes ago.
Hajrudin, drenched in sweat and exhausted, looked at the group's expressions and said with some uncertainty, "Is—is this a little too small?"
"This is just the beginning. You will do better."
"Give it a name, Hajrudin. The prototype of the boundless land beneath our feet!" Louis's voice sounded, carried to Hajrudin's ears on the sea breeze.
Hajrudin heard him and was silent for a moment. Then, he looked at the Lunarian wings on Louis's back and slowly spoke. "A place that corresponds to 'Luna' (the moon)..."
"How about... 'Terra'?"
