Chapter 210: Terra and Germa
"T-Terra?"
As Hajrudin's words fell, Louis's expression instantly became strange, and he fell silent.
It was a good while before he gradually came back to his senses. He turned and looked up at Road, the most knowledgeable of the giants. "In the world, do people call the moon 'Luna'?"
However, to Louis's surprise, this question made the several giants look at each other, their faces filled with strange expressions.
Just as Louis was feeling confused, Road knelt down, pointed at the wings on Louis's back, and said in a low voice, "Captain, our giant race, and all the other races on the sea, just call it 'the moon.' 'Luna' is actually your word for it—"
After Road's explanation, the other giants sighed.
"..." Hearing this, Louis for a moment didn't know what to say.
So the 'Luna' in 'Lunarian' refers to the moon?
The Lunarian race... came from the moon?
Then why does everyone say that the Lunarians are the original inhabitants of the Red Line?
After a brief silence, Louis met their gazes and explained softly, "We have been hunted for eight hundred years. Our history has been broken more than once. Apart from a small amount of information passed down by word of mouth, most of what we know has come from the World Government."
Hearing this, the group tactfully did not continue to dwell on this topic.
Seeing this, Hajrudin's expression became even more grave. "Is the name 'Terra' not good?" he asked with some hesitation.
"No, let's call it Terra. Since I said I'd let you name it, I naturally have no intention of rejecting your nomination." Louis cast a reassuring glance at Hajrudin.
Hajrudin heard this and instantly breathed a sigh of relief.
Louis looked at the still-panting Hajrudin. After some thought, he raised his hand, and a golden holy light appeared in his palm. Then, a rain of golden light slowly scattered, merging with the sea breeze into the bodies of Hajrudin and the others who had just been training, restoring them all to their peak condition.
Hajrudin, his body full of energy and vitality, slowly straightened up. He then looked out at the distant sea and said in a deep voice, "This is far from enough— I must hurry!"
Then, after saying goodbye to the others, he once again transformed into the sky-pillar-like dragon shadow, covered in pink scales, and flew away on a cloud of flame.
It wasn't until Hajrudin's figure had gradually disappeared at the end of the sky that the look of amazement in the others' eyes had lessened even a little.
After a long while, Louis withdrew his gaze from the submerged island and broke the atmosphere. "From now on, this place is no longer Dressrosa. The name of this land is—[Terra]."
"We understand, Captain!"
"I will convey this news to the allied captains, and have Kyros and the others relay it to the citizens."
Immediately after, Louis turned his head to look at the group and asked, "Who among you is free to go to the open-air prison and tell Kuina this news?"
Ever since returning with a large batch of captives, Kuina had left her dojo. She often went to the wilderness, chose a swordsman of equal or greater strength, and fought them to the death.
"I'll go. As it happens, I was planning to pick out some suitable opponents for Ulti and Page One." Yelena took the gas mask from her waist, slowly fastened it to her face, then skillfully grabbed Ulti, and, leading the well-behaved Page One, walked toward the wilderness.
"Captain, the few of us are planning to make a trip back to Elbaf. To see the situation there, and to see if we can invite more of our kinsmen to join our ranks."
The several giants exchanged glances. In the end, Gerd slowly knelt down and asked softly.
To this, Louis naturally had no reason to refuse. He nodded casually. "Then take my Vivre Card, board the other Island Cloud, and set off from the sky. Road, bring over the Eternal Pose for Elbaf. I'll give the Island Cloud the command to fly in the direction of the needle."
He chose the safer sky route for them and had them take his Vivre Card. If they ran into trouble, they could use the Vivre Card to indirectly adjust their course.
Gerd, Road, and the others heard him and nodded. "We will be back as soon as possible, Captain!"
To this, Louis shook his head. "There's no need to rush. I won't be making any big moves anytime soon."
Louis planned to stay in Terra for a while. Even the clash he had planned between Big Mom and the Marines, he had little desire to participate in. Unless Sengoku planned to publicly execute those two near Terra, Louis would most likely just sit in the main hall and watch the live broadcast. Therefore, there was no need for Gerd and the others to be in such a hurry to come back.
Soon, Gerd and the others went to prepare their supplies for their return to Elbaf and headed toward the castle to board the Island Cloud.
After everyone except Uta had left, Louis sat cross-legged on the top of the giant rock, controlling Gaea to come over from the border of the town and the wilderness. Under his command, it dismantled the reef-like island and merged it into the land beneath his feet.
Although the area of the former Dressrosa, now Terra, was not small, it was still too small compared to many large countries. Therefore, the preliminary work of piecing together the continent required Louis to dismantle and fuse the islands. And when the continent gradually took shape, Hajrudin could just drop the islands from mid-air, and Louis would only need to use Gaea to stabilize the earthquakes caused by the impact.
Soon, the small, kilometer-wide island was completely integrated into the land. Louis, in turn, controlled Gaea to go deep into the earth, bit by bit lifting the old, submerged continent and fitting it together with Terra.
Looking out, the sea in front was churning wildly, and a giant dark shadow was faintly visible.
Louis sat atop the giant rock, controlling all of this. Beside him, the girl with the two-toned hair lay leaning against him, her eyes tightly closed, constructing one illusion after another in her mind.
At night, in Louis's room.
The Den Den Mushi on the desk, mimicking Daz Bonez's current appearance, spoke. "Captain, the King of Germa - Vinsmoke Judge, is interested in your invitation. He said he is willing to talk to you. Tomorrow, he will send people to Dre... Terra, to talk with us."
The number one killer and intelligence officer of the Archangel Pirates, Daz Bonez, expressionlessly reported the progress of the mission he had been given.
"I understand," Louis replied in a deep voice from before the desk. "Good work, Daz. For now, just hand over those unimportant matters to Baby-5. You should relax for a few days."
As the person under Louis who handled the "dirty work," Daz Bonez was usually either on a mission or on his way to a mission when others were idle. His workload was almost the sum of all the others combined, which was why Louis had equipped him with a tool-person assistant to lessen his burden.
Daz Bonez heard this, but was briefly silent. After a long while, his voice sounded again. "I understand, Captain."
Then, Louis cut off the call, and the room became quiet once again.
Louis tapped his fingers lightly on the desk, falling into thought. He was considering what kind of conditions he should use to invite Vinsmoke Judge to manufacture the Ex-Machina for him.
"Protection?"
The Vinsmoke family spent most of their time wandering the Four Seas. Plus, they possessed considerable strength themselves and were a member nation of the World Government. Therefore, they didn't really need so-called military support at the moment.
"Perhaps I can start with finances?"
Louis, who had just robbed Doflamingo and extorted a large sum from Big Mom, was not short on money. He could even be said to be one of the richest people in the world. If Germa was short on money and agreed to accept his commission, that would be for the best. For the current Louis, any problem that could be solved with Berries was not a problem at all. Even if he spent all of Doflamingo's and Big Mom's fortunes, he had other ways to get Berries.
"Vinsmoke Judge... I hope money can satisfy your needs."
If Germa ultimately chose not to accept his offer, Louis would just have to find other scientists.
The next day, a giant snail ship with a black flag entered the underground port. Under Yelena's watchful gaze, it slowly furled its sails and docked precisely at the shipyard.
With a series of neat and uniform footsteps, a team of soldiers with almost identical appearances and attire slowly walked off the snail ship and stood in two rows.
Immediately after, a tall figure, a young girl with short pink hair in a white shirt and short skirt, slowly appeared. Beside her, an old man with graying hair, a stooped body, and dressed in research clothes, followed.
Vinsmoke Reiju's gaze fell on the figure in front of her, who was dressed in white heavy armor, carrying a heavy war hammer, with only a pair of jet-black oni horns exposed. A strange light flashed in her eyes.
She hadn't expected that Archangel Louis would actually send his second-in-command, the "Snow-Fiend" who once had the epithet "Nation-Destroyer," to welcome the Vinsmoke Family.
Then, Reiju strode forward with elegant and light steps, walking through the line of soldiers, and came directly before the iconically dressed Yelena.
