Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: A Chance to Prove Herself

Levos pondered silently. Since his body now contained Piccolo's cells, shouldn't he also be able to use some of Piccolo's mystical abilities?

Originally, he had planned to ask Piccolo for guidance on such techniques. Unfortunately, before Levos even had the chance to learn, Piccolo had sacrificed himself once again.

For now, he could only figure things out on his own.

In the Dragon Ball world, magic followed its own unique evolutionary path an entirely separate branch of power.

In the Dark Demon Realm, magic was akin to foundational science: a systemized field studied and refined like advanced technology.

Levos couldn't help but wonder if Cell Max also possessed potential evolutionary paths tied to magic.

This body still held many secrets worth exploring. At some point, he'd definitely need to have Dr. Gero's successor, Dr. Heide, study it thoroughly. It might even be worth bringing Bulma into the research, combining science with potential magical evolution to optimize Cell Max's capabilities.

And magic itself… Levos was very interested in unlocking that power.

Discovering the Magic Core

Among those who fought using magic, a few figures stood out as prime examples: Babidi, Majin Buu, and the King of the Demon Realm, Dabura.

When Ginyu once possessed this body, he had even absorbed Majin Buu into it. But Levos highly doubted Buu was so easily erased or contained. That creature's existence was far too strange.

Not that Buu's survival mattered much right now.

At Levos' current level, absorbing Majin Buu's power wasn't enough to influence battles on the scale of the Sacred World of the Kais anyway.

What mattered more was determining whether he had inherited any of Majin Buu's abilities.

Closing his eyes, Levos sank his consciousness deep into himself, searching for signs of a magical source within his cells.

And then, he found it.

His eyes opened, and the corners of his lips curled into a smile.

The magic core existed.

More importantly, it was entirely independent from the mechanical evolution core and genetic evolution core.

It seemed Ginyu's reckless attempt to absorb Buu had not been completely pointless after all. At the very least, it had unlocked a potential path for magical evolution!

However, this magical route was still in its infancy, barely budding at all. To advance further, he would need to consume more magically inclined enemies, gradually fueling the core's development.

Testing His Magic

Levos recalled how warriors under Babidi's control those "cursed" by his magic had received massive boosts to their strength, speed, and durability.

So clearly, magic wasn't limited to fragile wizardry; it was a force that could redefine combat itself.

"Which path will prove stronger in the end…?" he muttered, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Science, genes, mechanics, or magic?"

There was only one way to find out test it.

Levos decided to start simple.

"Materialization magic… creating clothes, for example. That should be easy enough."

He envisioned a combat uniform in his mind, then pointed his finger toward Android 18.

A ripple of invisible force surged forth, instantly enveloping her.

Android 18's body jolted. A startled cry escaped her lips.

"You shameless bastard!"

Levos blinked, confused then froze.

The clothes she'd been wearing… had completely vanished. In their place was a skintight black bodysuit, perfectly outlining her striking curves.

From a practical standpoint, the result was flawless.

From Android 18's perspective, however, it was mortifying.

Levos immediately realized his mistake: the spell had replaced her outer clothing only… meaning there was nothing underneath.

For a brief second, he considered imagining undergarments too but no, no, that felt way too perverse. He quickly averted his gaze and coughed awkwardly.

With another flick of his finger, magic surged once more, manifesting a full-body white armored combat suit over the bodysuit.

Android 18 glared daggers at him, gritting her teeth. "Pervert…"

A New Tool, A New Possibility

Levos exhaled softly, satisfied that he'd succeeded at least partially. The spell itself wasn't complex, just basic object creation, so control came easily enough.

Still, Android 18's murderous glare lingered.

She examined the suit black bodysuit under sleek white armor, complete with gloves and boots. While comfortable and aesthetic, the material offered almost no actual defense.

And worse… the entire process had been humiliating.

"Damn you," she hissed under her breath.

Levos ignored the complaint and turned back to his experiments. If he could create clothing, perhaps other objects wouldn't be much harder.

Focusing again, he conjured an assortment of bottles, containers, and tools onto the empty ground around him.

These would serve as components for the Evil Containment Wave (Mafūba) Piccolo's signature sealing technique.

Unfortunately, he hit a roadblock: he didn't remember the exact seal inscription patterns.

Levos' gaze drifted to Piccolo's lifeless body nearby, his expression momentarily heavy.

"Why haven't you revived yet?" he muttered bitterly. If Piccolo were awake, he could have taught Levos magic directly, even drawing the sealing talismans himself.

Between Humanity and Monstrosity

Shaking off the thought, Levos shifted focus back to Bulma's injuries. With a small gesture, he used magic to create bandages, needles, and other medical tools.

He stepped toward her, but she flushed red and raised a hand weakly.

"Levos… I… I think it's better if Android 18 handles the bandaging."

He paused, then nodded. That was fair considering the location of the wounds, it made sense.

Handing the supplies over, he said calmly, "I'll leave it to you."

Android 18 snorted, taking the materials without a word. As she carefully dressed Bulma's injuries, Levos' gaze remained fixed on her movements, wary of any sudden aggression.

To his relief, she behaved herself throughout, and when the treatment was complete, he finally allowed himself a subtle sigh.

"Thank you," Bulma whispered softly, her face pale.

Android 18 brushed her golden hair aside, her tone frosty. "I only helped because you were once human… like me."

Bulma blinked, confused. "Why does that matter?"

18's expression hardened. "Because… we were both experiments. Turned into weapons by maniacs like Dr. Gero. My humanity stripped away… forced to kill."

Levos' eyes narrowed, his voice sharp. "Stop right there. You and Bulma are nothing alike. She's never harmed anyone. You, on the other hand, have slaughtered innocents for fun."

A faint tremor crossed Android 18's eyes pain flashing beneath her cold facade.

"If I told you… I never wanted this," she whispered. "That I wish I could go back. That I… want to be human again, to keep those memories… would you believe me?"

Levos' voice was icy. "Even if you do, the world won't forgive you. People won't forget the blood on your hands."

She fell silent for a long moment, her gaze locked with his. And then, softly, she said:

"I know I'm a monster. But I don't want to be one anymore. I… want to change."

Levos' expression softened just slightly.

"Good," he said calmly. "Because right now… you have the perfect chance to prove it."
