Gohan's potential was frightening. He could easily take one of the seats on the team.
Moreover, this version of Gohan had undergone an entirely different life experience than the one in the main timeline. It was highly unlikely he'd waste his immense talent for battle by pursuing a career as a scholar...
As for the rest of the candidates, they were the two Trunks, Goku, and Piccolo.
Levos was leaning toward unlocking Piccolo's full potential. In the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, Piccolo's Orange Form granted by Shenron's potential unlock had power on par with Super Saiyan Blue!
However, Piccolo was currently dead.
The two Trunks hadn't shown any exceptional traits yet, so their priority was a bit lower.
And as for Goku… reviving him still lacked a proper opportunity.
They couldn't exactly force the Elder Kai to give up the rest of his lifespan to bring Goku back…
With this in mind, Levos turned to the Elder Kai and asked respectfully,
"Elder Kai, is there any way to awaken the soul of a fallen comrade?"
The Elder Kai was stunned for a moment before realization dawned on him.
"You mean that Namekian, don't you?"
Levos nodded slightly.
The Elder Kai stroked his beard, thinking for a moment before answering,
"If that guy was a good person, and if his body was intact, he should've awakened the moment he died."
He then looked up at Levos with a puzzled expression.
"Are you sure he's actually dead?"
Levos replied honestly,
"Piccolo exhausted his life force when he cast a sealing technique on the enemy..."
"Kibito!" the Supreme Kai, Shin, called out immediately.
"Go check the Namekian's condition!"
Then he turned to Levos and explained,
"Namekians have incredibly tenacious vitality. If he didn't actually die, he's probably in a state of deep sleep…"
"Don't worry. Kibito has healing abilities. He should be able to bring your friend back."
"Thank you!" Levos said with genuine gratitude.
It finally clicked for him.
On New Namek, even when all the Namekians had their life force drained by Moro, none of them had truly died. They were successfully treated in the Galactic Patrol's hospital.
Even in the original timeline, when Moro was stripped of the energy he'd absorbed, all the life energy he devoured scattered and returned to their original planets, allowing the drained Namekians to revive.
Piccolo hadn't sustained any external injuries. Maybe… just maybe, he was still alive!
The two times Piccolo had burned through his life force, it only resulted in a suspended death-like state. That's why Earth's Dragon Balls could revive him. Levos had simply fallen into a mental trap, assuming the worst.
Namekians and Earthlings were two entirely different species. You couldn't judge them by the same standards.
Moments later, Kibito descended atop the stone pillar and placed both hands on Piccolo's chest.
Whoosh.
A gentle white glow spread across Piccolo's body.
With a sudden gasp, Piccolo bolted upright!
"W-What's going on? Wasn't I dead?" He stared wide-eyed in disbelief, then turned to Kibito and asked with a frown,
"Who are you?"
Levos landed on the pillar beside him, followed closely by the Supreme Kai and the others.
Levos quickly explained the situation and introduced the Supreme Kai and the Elder Kai to Piccolo.
After hearing the explanation, Piccolo was full of emotion.
He looked respectfully at the Supreme Kai and gave a stiff greeting.
"S-Supreme Kai, sir."
Once he had a grasp of their current situation, Piccolo asked curiously,
"So what's the plan now?"
Levos already had a rough outline in mind.
He turned to the Supreme Kai.
"Supreme Kai, a few of our companions are scattered across this planet. Is there any way we can reunite everyone?"
Truthfully, Levos had been eyeing Kibito from the start, casually sneaking glances his way.
Kibito's Instant Transmission was the most powerful travel ability in the Dragon Ball universe.
The technique from Yardrat required sensing a person's ki to teleport to them, but Kibito's version didn't have that limitation!
That was one of the reasons Levos felt so confident taking his time in guiding the Kais.
Unlike Zamasu, Kibito didn't outright hate mortals. He simply took pride in being divine. He wasn't driven by hatred.
Given the current situation, Kibito was a reliable ally.
If things went south, this guy could teleport everyone to safety at a moment's notice.
That was why Levos wanted to regroup with his allies as soon as possible.
The Supreme Kai frowned.
"But your companions are all hiding their ki. Finding them won't be easy…"
"Sigh…" Levos let out a helpless sigh.
"If only we had a way to monitor everything happening on this planet..."
The others all looked regretful.
Just then, the Elder Kai chuckled.
"Is that all? That's easy."
With a flick of his wrist, a crystal ball appeared in midair.
He explained,
"This can observe everything happening in the universe."
Then he narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Levos.
"You sure seem to know a lot about our place for a first-timer…"
"Elder Kai, this is really my first time here!" Levos put on his best confused face.
Before anyone could question him further, he rushed to the crystal ball and began scanning for his teammates.
The scenes flickered rapidly until finally, a familiar figure appeared.
Gohan!
He was flying low, carefully scanning the area with a wary expression.
"He might be being tracked by enemies! What do we do? How can we get to him?" Levos asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, Mr. Levos," said the Supreme Kai with a reassuring smile.
"Kibito has both healing and Instant Transmission. He can bring your friend back instantly!"
"I see!" Levos nodded.
"Kibito, please take me to him!"
"Put your hand on my shoulder," Kibito instructed.
Levos obeyed.
Zoom!
Their figures vanished from the stone pillar.
In the blink of an eye, they crossed thousands of kilometers and appeared directly in front of Gohan.
"Gohan! No time to explain grab my hand!" Levos shouted.
Gohan froze for a second but quickly understood and grabbed Levos' arm.
In the next moment, his surroundings changed completely.
Two unfamiliar figures were curiously inspecting him.
"Gohan!"
Hearing his name, Gohan spun around and saw Piccolo standing there.
His face lit up and his fists clenched in excitement.
"Uncle Piccolo, I'm so glad you're okay!"
Piccolo relaxed and gave a faint, approving smile.
"Seeing you safe puts my heart at ease."
Just then, Bulma's voice rang out,
"Gohan, are you hurt?"
"Aunt Bulma's here too…" Gohan turned to greet her, but his pupils suddenly constricted.
His expression darkened in an instant.
"You… monster! Why are you here?!"
His eyes blazed with killing intent.
