Gohan's eyes narrowed, a cold glint flashing within them. He gritted his teeth and growled, "I swore I'd kill you!"
Android 18 crossed her arms, lifting a brow in mild surprise. "Son Gohan? You're alive too?"
Gohan clenched his right fist, his aura slowly rising.
"Gohan, calm down!" Levos stepped forward, blocking the space between them. "Let's get through this crisis first. You can settle your grudge afterward."
"What's going on?" Gohan cooled down and frowned.
"It's a long story…" Piccolo's expression was grim as he began to explain everything.
"Mr. Kibito, please take me to the next location where our allies are."
"Of course." Kibito nodded and teleported again with Levos.
This time, they arrived at King Kai's Planet.
Goku immediately perked up. "Awesome! I can fight alongside everyone again!"
King Kai beamed. "Levos, you've really brought me a lot of surprises."
After a brief greeting, Levos didn't linger. Together with Kibito, he brought Goku to the Sacred World of the Kais.
With Levos as the connection point, soon both versions of Trunks were gathered as well.
"Bulma!"
"Mom!"
"Goku, Trunks." Bulma's smile bloomed. "I'm just glad everyone's safe."
Just as everyone was exchanging greetings, the future Trunks noticed Android 18—and his expression darkened.
"Android! I'm sure I killed you myself!"
18 sneered. "Oh, you did. You ambushed me and I died because of it."
"But why I'm alive again and why I'm here, no one's given me an answer either…"
Future Trunks stared at her thoughtfully, as if something was starting to make sense.
He gave a cold warning. "Android 18, I've defeated your counterpart before. If you dare do anything against us, I won't hesitate to destroy you again."
"Huh? So your name's Android 18?" Goku looked surprised, then his face turned serious.
"Two Trunks… and Son Goku too?"
18's pupils trembled slightly, but she didn't retreat. She stood proudly and alone, facing the crowd with cold defiance.
The atmosphere instantly turned tense.
"Wait…" Bulma tried to step in.
Levos gently stopped her and said in a low voice, "Bulma, remember what I told you before? Let me handle this."
Bulma sighed softly, then stepped back, her eyes full of trust.
Levos looked at Piccolo. "Piccolo, as a former Guardian of Earth, can you still sense evil in people?"
Piccolo furrowed his brows and thought for a moment. "It's strange. I don't feel any evil intent coming from her… Maybe I've lost that ability."
Gohan reminded him, "Uncle Piccolo, androids don't have ki."
"Maybe…" Piccolo murmured, sounding a bit guilty. "In any case, I can't determine if she's good or evil. I don't have a clear answer for you."
The crowd looked visibly disappointed.
Even Levos was at a loss.
Looks like Piccolo didn't inherit all of Kami's abilities after all.
But then, the Old Supreme Kai chuckled. "Hehehe! I know the answer!"
Goku turned to him with curiosity. "Gramps, you really know?"
"You can tell, Elder?" Supreme Kai Shin asked in surprise at the same time.
"Hmph! Of course I can." The Old Supreme Kai thumped Shin on the head. "I've lived a long time. You think I can't tell? If even you, that naive brat, can see it, you think I can't?"
Everyone turned toward the Old Kai.
He stroked his beard and said slowly, "This girl carries many unatoned sins on her back. At first glance, she really does seem like an evil person…"
At that moment, killing intent began to build around Android 18.
Only Shin, Levos, and Bulma remained calm, waiting for the next part.
"But…" the Old Kai grinned, "I can see into her soul. Despite her sins, her heart is filled with kindness and goodness. She is not a truly evil person…"
Everyone looked at one another in disbelief.
Levos let out a quiet sigh in his heart.
If even the Old Kai said so, then this Android 18 likely wasn't evil anymore.
"I get it now!" Supreme Kai Shin smiled in realization. "She was once evil, yes—but after being resurrected, everything unnatural was stripped away, and her consciousness reverted to how it was before she was modified!"
"But Supreme Kai, if that's true, why does her body still look like an android?" Future Trunks asked, confused.
"That's because Shenron rebuilt her body based on her form at the time of death…" Shin seemed confident in his explanation.
The group fell silent, not knowing how to handle Android 18.
"Levos," came King Kai's voice in Levos's mind, "no matter what, their sins haven't been wiped clean. You should send her to Hell and let King Yemma pass judgment…"
"Is that your suggestion?" Levos asked curiously.
"No… this is the result of a discussion between Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien."
Levos blinked. King Kai was actually being cautious and bringing Earth's warriors into the discussion too?
That put all the pressure on Levos.
He could accept Androids 17 and 18 turning over a new leaf.
But if he did, then his plan to absorb them and evolve into Cell Max might never come to fruition.
Levos frowned, deep in thought. Then, his eyes became firm.
Compared to his companions' safety, he had no choice but to sacrifice Androids 17 and 18!
"Hmph." Android 18 snorted and broke the silence.
She stared directly at Levos and said with no fear, "Monster, you know I've already made my choice. Whatever you want from me, just say it."
"Alright!" Levos responded decisively. "Then let's become temporary allies to save the world."
He then turned to the Old Supreme Kai and said solemnly, "Lord Elder Kai, all my allies are gathered. Those to be given the potential unlock are here."
