"I told you from the start this little runt isn't worth trusting," Frieza mocked, voice dripping with contempt. "If I had gotten that body, there's no way I'd end up being this pathetic."
Back then, for the sake of that "pink-haired Broly" body, Frieza had nearly fallen out with Levos entirely. For a time, he'd even been on the verge of becoming that vessel's owner.
Frieza admitted it just for a moment he'd actually imagined what life would be like as a Saiyan.
Puar's chest stung as if someone had stabbed her.
She snapped her head toward Frieza, eyes bloodshot, and enunciated every word.
"I am not pathetic."
"Oh?" Frieza let out a cold laugh. "Then what are you, if not pathetic? You've got all that power, and from the start of this match until now you've done nothing but get beaten around."
"Frieza…" Puar clenched her fists, letting Kale's relentless blows keep smashing into her body.
Bang. Bang. Bang…
"Ohohoho…" Frieza's laugh turned nastier. "So you've really given up, huh? Then let everyone enjoy a nice clear look at your defeat "
A sudden change.
An icy, absolute killing intent locked onto Frieza.
Hummm
A thick pillar of green flames exploded upward, tearing straight through the clouds.
"…Frieza!"
Space itself trembled, as if it couldn't bear the sudden spike of madness flooding the arena.
Crack, crack, crack
Fractures spread across the protective barrier like spiderwebs.
Every spectator held their breath, eyes wide, staring at the eruption on the stage.
Puar's silhouette was swallowed whole by the tangible green blaze. From within it, a thick arm stretched out and calmly caught Kale's fist.
Boom!
A body shot backward, slamming hard into the barrier.
"!!!" Champa's eyes nearly split open. "Kale?!"
"What? Kale took the hit?! She got sent flying in one blow?!"
"No! Fake! Impossible! How is there another monster?!"
People gaped, mouths hanging open. This was far beyond anything they could comprehend.
"An illusion! It has to be an illusion!"
"Match-fixing! Cheating! Investigate both sides immediately!"
Berserk Kale shook her head, fury boiling even hotter.
"DIIIIIEEEE !"
Her body turned into a streak of light as she charged.
Boom!
She didn't even make it into the center of that terrifying blaze. The moment she brushed the outer edge, she was launched at a speed the naked eye couldn't follow straight into the opposite barrier.
Crack!
Kale stuck to the barrier and slid down slowly.
The entire sphere shook violently, swaying as if it might collapse.
The arena platform shuddered… then disintegrated into dust.
Kale wiped blood from the corner of her mouth, the savage gleam in her crazed eyes sharpening into a predatory chill.
Boom!
Before she could move again, a green blur slammed into her like lightning.
Crash!
The barrier behind Kale shattered. Her body was hurled through the gap and smashed into yet another layer of shielding outside.
Crack!
The second barrier collapsed.
"Ugh!" Kale grunted and spat a mouthful of blood.
Her left shoulder was pulverized. Her chest caved inward. Ribs snapped clean through.
"My junior… lost…" Caulifla sank to her knees, numb.
Thud.
Kale's mangled body slammed into the dust below.
"Universe 7 actually… won…"
Everyone stared, expressions complicated, at the towering green inferno burning in midair.
The next second, that figure vanished from where it stood. When it reappeared, it punched straight through the third barrier layer.
The angels looked at one another, as if wondering whether someone had been slacking off when they set up the defenses.
Marcarita wore an innocent face. "It must be Vados cutting corners again, darling."
Vados's brows arched. "Marcarita… it seems life in Universe 11 has made you far too comfortable, if you think barriers of this level can't be broken."
Even as they bickered, the outer barriers continued to crack and collapse, one layer after another.
"Arguing is hardly elegant," Cus scolded sharply. "Don't forget you're angels!"
Then she frowned, puzzled. "Puar already won. All she needs to do is wait for us to remove the barrier. What exactly is she trying to "
"Frieza! I'm going to uh…"
The thunderous roar from within the green flames hesitated awkwardly, then blurted out,
"…I'm going to use your blood as sacrifice!"
Levos's mouth twitched.
Of course. Puar couldn't even trash-talk properly she just stole someone else's line wholesale.
Beside him, Frieza's body trembled, like some traumatic memory had come back to life.
The angels had erected twelve layers of barriers. Originally, Puar and Frieza were separated by all those obstacles.
But
Crash! Crash! Crash!
For Puar, shattering a layer didn't even slow her down for half a second.
When the final barrier broke, and that monstrous aura poured out into the open, everyone finally understood truly understood how terrifying she was.
It was suffocating pressure made real. People couldn't even breathe.
"Big bro! Second bro!" / "Big bro! Third bro!" / "Second bro! Third bro!"
The so-called "Danger Trio" screamed and promptly passed out. Fighters from Universe 9 and 10 fell the same way. Even some weaker Supreme Kais collapsed to the ground.
Toppo rubbed his eyes like he didn't trust them. "Jiren… I believe in you! You… you keep training and you might still be able to catch up to her…"
If the aura leaking out was already this horrifying, the pressure on the one she had locked onto was beyond imagining.
Frieza forced down the urge to turn and run.
"Miss Puar, this is all a misunderstanding! We're from the same universe we're teammates, companions! Calm down and listen to my explanation!"
"I won't!"
Puar's figure arrived in an instant.
"Mr. Levos say something!" Frieza panicked and hurriedly transformed into his Golden form.
Levos sighed. "Even an honest judge can't settle family drama. This is personal. I can't interfere… I'm truly sorry, Your Majesty."
With that, Levos grabbed the others and Instant Transmissioned away.
Beerus yanked Whis by the hem and retreated as well.
"You bastards…" Frieza's eyes nearly bulged out of his skull.
The next moment, a huge fist smashed into his abdomen.
Frieza spewed a mist of blood, his spine arching as he doubled over like a shrimp.
"…I knew this would happen. For five centimeters no. Ten centimeters… it's worth it!"
He resigned himself, forcing that thought to be his consolation.
Another massive hand reached out from the green blaze and clamped onto Frieza's head.
Then came a brutal barrage punches, kicks, throws, slams like he'd become nothing but a rag doll.
Minutes later, Golden Frieza's battered body was launched into the distance, shrinking into a tiny speck before vanishing from everyone's sight.
