Chapter 234 - Chapter 234: So That’s How You Want to Play It?

The moment Frieza was sent flying, everyone's nerves snapped tight again.

The two guards of the Omni-Kings stepped forward at once, shielding the throne with grim, watchful eyes trained on the green blaze shooting into the heavens.

Humm

The air exploded with a sonic boom. A burly figure tore through the sky, hurtling straight at Levos.

The moment the others around Levos realized what was happening, they paled and scattered, retreating in panic.

"…Seriously?" Levos also wanted to run, but it was obvious the incoming missile was locked onto him.

And behind him, his teammates still hadn't gotten far.

Levos hesitated for only an instant, weighing it quickly. If it came down to it, he wasn't completely helpless against Puar in his true body.

After all, on the stage he'd only shown the form that combined a humanoid Great Ape state with Super Saiyan. There was still a special transformation unique to the "new Broly" he hadn't used.

Then he heard it.

A low voice called out, vibrating with excitement.

"Young Master Levos, I did it!"

Levos's expression brightened. "That's great, Puar. You actually didn't lose your mind "

"Wait!" Levos's pupils shrank violently. "Don't come any closer !"

He didn't even finish the sentence before he spun around and bolted.

It was already too late.

Like a comet smashing into the ground, the impact split the earth apart. Hundreds of meters of dirt and rock blasted upward in a towering wall.

When the dust finally settled, a figure lay motionless at the bottom of a crater.

Beside him, Puar was bawling her eyes out.

"Young Master Levos! Wake up, please!"

A moment later, Levos groaned and slowly came to, staring at the worried faces crowding around him. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Puar small as she was threw herself into his arms and sobbed.

"W-Waaah… I'm sorry, Young Master Levos. I didn't mean to ram you and hurt you…" Her eyes were red and swollen, her voice full of guilt and fear. "I didn't think… I didn't think…"

Levos sighed and rubbed her soft head.

"It's fine, Puar. Next time you charge in, just check what form I'm in first."

"Mm!" Puar nodded hard, like her life depended on it.

Nearby, Supreme Kai Shin finally let out a long breath of relief.

"Mr. Levos, thanks to you, our universe is finally safe again. Everyone can go home in peace."

Levos's vision suddenly darkened. His body swayed.

"Y-Young Master Levos?" Puar caught him quickly.

"I'm fine," Levos said, taking a slow breath as he sat up. "I'm just… mentally exhausted. I'll be okay after a short rest."

Then he glanced at Shin, half-amused, half-baffled.

"Supreme Kai Shin… you're really an optimist."

"Of course!" Shin grinned proudly, then frowned as if genuinely puzzled. "I don't even know why, but every time a crisis hits every time I think everything's completely hopeless we always end up turning danger into safety."

He straightened, voice full of conviction.

"Because I keep walking out of desperate situations, I've cultivated this optimistic mindset!"

"…" Levos had nothing to say.

He'd thought Shin might learn something from this endless chain of disastrous twists.

Instead, the guy had somehow learned the exact opposite lesson.

Still, the Tournament of Power had ended smoothly in the end. Universe 7 had taken the final victory dangerously, but successfully.

Now all that was left was for the Grand Priest to announce the final results.

Smiles finally appeared on the faces of Universe 7's team.

Even Levos couldn't help relaxing, a rare lightness curving his lips.

But something still felt… missing.

He turned his head.

Frieza wasn't there.

A moment like this, that guy would never miss the chance to show his face.

They'd saved the universe together as a team. If nothing else, Frieza deserved some kind of "Universal Peace Award."

Levos immediately searched for Frieza's ki and used Instant Transmission.

He didn't waste much time before finding Frieza in a lonely stretch of space.

There was a gaping hole punched straight through his chest. His tail was torn and mangled. His upper and lower body looked like they'd almost been split in half.

But the resilience of Frieza's race wasn't a joke.

His aura was faint, barely hanging on but he was absolutely still alive.

Levos reached out and hauled Frieza's broken body into his arms.

Frieza's swollen eyes snapped open.

When he recognized that familiar face, he exhaled in relief and immediately sent Levos a private message.

"Mr. Levos… you remember our agreement, don't you…?"

You're in this condition and that's what you're thinking about?

Levos could only nod, helpless, and carry him back to the arena.
