This was a strange universe. Monoliths appeared everywhere, wherever they appeared, mutated species appeared.
Mother Cetra had advanced the civilizations. Eve's archeological studies, personal and later with her crew, added a whole new catalogue to undiscovered alien tech.
But resources didn't reach everywhere. Economies prospered on mining resources, tourism, technological advancement, or stability of the systems.
So there were three types of worlds.
Wastelands. The poor ones. Gasoline vehicles. Klashkoffs. Explosive-driven weapons. Tanks. Steel blades. Low economies. Weak or no government structure.
New Worlds. Hover crafts. Plasma guns. Laser energy weapons. Miles-high towers. Plasma blades.
Super Civilizations. Worlds like Cetra 9 Pernian Palace. Or similar to it. Advanced enough to bend matter and gravity to their will.
Then within these categories, the wastelands could be further catalogued into scavengers, nascent colonies, and governized planets.
Three types of New Worlds. Class One were protected by the IC. Class Two contributed forces to the IC—their planets brought forward future space commanders. And Class Three, which had a Committee Members' seat at the IC. Saiyara was one of these Class Three New Worlds.
There were two types of Super Civilizations.
Converging Class—likes of Cetra 9 and Pernian Palace. The invincible fortresses and powerhouses of the universe. As their resources and power grew, they centralized as they expanded.
Diverging Class—they colonized other wastelands and barren planets when resources were excessive. So their strategic growth was in numbers rather than centralization.
Then there were sanctuaries and Zooplanets, populated by unintelligent lifeforms. Species from behemoths and giants, and swarms. Diversity in these planets varied from a few to a few thousands.
Zooplanets were categorized as:
Genoforms — Simplistic DNA-based lifeforms, planets vibrant with life and nature. Plants, oceans, jungles, mountains. Planets that were not allowed to be colonized, other than scientific expeditions. Dedicated orbital stations served as study and observation centers.
Elementals — These Zooplanets housed species with unnatural powers. Breathed out fire, lasers, plasma, flew without wings, even exhibited energy and gravitational manipulation. There were phantom species that travelled right through walls and obstacles, travelled to the core of the planet and back to the surface like whales. These planets were dangerous with no monitoring whatsoever. Traveling here was at your own risk. But no one colonized these lands.
Goliaths — Zooplanets with enormous giants. So-called 'mule-planets'. Often targeted by poachers. Their social behavior had evolved. Jungles and mountain caves. A variety of tamable species were used as war-elephants or labor purposes because of their huge size and power. The IC couldn't monitor all Goliath planets because they were too numerous for available resources, but stealing from here was unlawful and punishable by law.
There was the Almira Galaxy. The intergalactic prison. With countless uncatalogued planets. The galaxies ruled by Razmos, known as the Father of Ash.
Last but not the least. The Dark Galaxy. Only Eve had been there and back in her sane form. Or her mission with the squad to planet Kaal.
Most of the Dark Galaxy was unknown. Thelarians had the most information about it... which amounted only to ten percent.
The most mysterious entity in the Dark Galaxy and the entire universe was known as "the Void Threat." Its existence is only known by a handful...
...and no one knew what it was.
