Saiyaran Palace was decorated with lights. Royal families from all over the planet were invited. Dozens of Intergalactic Committee Commanders stood in the hall.
Thousands of people outside the palace waited for the Royal Heiress to show up on the balcony. Not the Queen—the Heiress. A title given to the mother of the child pregnant with Eve's next to-be-sister and guide.
Centuries in the making, this tradition had become sacred to the Saiyarans. Even the President and her board attended the celebration.
Mira sat in front of the dressing table as royal servants brushed her hair. Anya, Nadia, and Hannah flanked her. Rest of the crew was busy partying. Eve was nowhere to be seen.
One hour before the royal speech.
Eve stood at the balcony on the other end of the palace, which opened to the silent and serene view of the ocean, mountains, and... well, it was paradise. A view to kill for.
Mira approached her. She saw that Eve was sad.
"You are making me the happiest person in the world. Ammara stood right where you are, and the memory is still fresh to me—like it was yesterday."
She tried to cheer up Mira but she could always right see through her.
Mira tried to comfort her. "Look at the bright side, you get to meet all these pretty ladies holding flowers for you as you walk down the hall."
"Except these girls—each one—is a precious piece of my heart. And this stubborn one... stole all of it."
The Queen was happy she would never be alone. But the blindsight of it... already an announcement—that one day, she'd have to see Mira go away.
Mira cupped her face. "Just be my superstar. Forget everything else. I am right here. No one can separate us in this moment..."
"... you know the descendants keep lining up to claim their birthright."
Mira placed her hand on her belly. "I can already feel her telling her mom to take rest so she can inherit all of this. Eve... this, this life, this service, this journey with you—it is a dream. It is an honour. You are the most wonderful co-traveller and they all love you Eve. Everyone."
"Thank God you're here with me." Eve embraced Mira.
"Now walk me to the balcony so I can sing these marriage vows for my daughter and her queen," she laughed. Eve laughed with her.
At the balcony, Mira gave a ceremonial speech, praising Saiyara and her queen, and thanked everyone for joining her as new age dawned and bright future prospects welcomed them.
After the celebration was over, the after-party began. They started opening gifts.
First, in his own words, "from her favorite uncle Jax," followed by Aunt Anya, Hannah, Nadia, Zara... Uncle Vayne, Salam, and Uncle Kai.
