Chapter 43 - finding manhunter

But first," Ojaga said, "let's go to mom."

Thomas Wayne went rigid with shock.

"How... how could you know about her?"

Bruce looked confused. "Mom? Isn't she dead, big brother?"

"Father told me mother died with this timeline's Bruce."

Ojaga shook his head. "No. She became something different."

"She's the Joker of this world."

The room fell silent.

Thomas stared at Ojaga in disbelief.

"How could you possibly know that?"

"I can sense broken souls," Ojaga replied quietly. "And hers is screaming."

Bruce's face went pale. "Mom is... the Joker?"

Thomas nodded slowly. "After we lost Bruce, she... she broke completely."

Ojaga stood up, his strength fully returned.

"Cyborg, can you help me track her?"

"And Barry 1 and Barry 2—you need to go to the sea."

"Find a person named Atom. He can destroy this planet if something goes wrong."

"You both need to work together to keep your prime world timeline stable."

"First capture Zoom. We need him to keep this world intact."

Victor's systems activated. "Tracking Joker signatures across Gotham."

"Multiple locations. She moves frequently."

Barry 1 and Barry 2 looked at each other.

"Sea mission," Barry 2 said. "Got it."

"Zoom first," Barry 1 added. "Then Atom rescue."

Bruce patted both their shoulders. "Work to do."

At the Joker's Hideout

The abandoned amusement park reeked of decay and madness.

Twisted carnival rides creaked in the wind.

Funhouse mirrors reflected distorted images.

Bruce, Ojaga, and Thomas approached the main tent.

"She's in there," Thomas said, his voice heavy with pain.

They entered to find a horrific sight.

Martha Wayne sat on a throne made of broken toys.

Her face was chalk white, lips blood red.

Green hair hung in tangled strands.

But her eyes—her eyes still held traces of the woman they remembered.

"Well, well," she cackled. "Visitors to my little kingdom!"

Bruce saw his mother and broke down completely.

Tears streamed down his face as he ran toward her.

"Mom! It's me! It's Bruce!"

Martha's laugh turned maniacal.

She pulled a gun, firing wildly at Bruce and the others.

"Bruce is DEAD!" she screamed. "Dead dead DEAD!"

Thomas pulled off his Batman mask desperately.

"Martha! Look at him! Can't you see the similarity?"

"He IS Bruce! Our son!"

But Martha kept firing, lost in her madness.

"Lies! Tricks! My Bruce died in that alley!"

"This is some cruel joke!"

Ojaga moved with Saiyan speed.

He wrapped his arms around Martha gently but firmly.

"Sleep, mom," he whispered, applying a precise pressure point.

Martha's eyes fluttered closed.

Her gun clattered to the ground.

"Let's move, dad," Ojaga said, lifting Martha in his arms.

"Mom will get better. But don't tell her I hit her."

He looked at the shocked faces of Thomas and Bruce.

"Trust me. This can be fixed."

Meanwhile - Cyborg's Search

Victor's systems scanned global databases.

"Searching for silver helmet artifact... located."

"Metropolitan Museum. Dr. Fate's helmet in storage."

"And green-skinned humanoid alien... found in Russian facility."

"High-security prison. Subject designated 'Unknown Entity 7.'"

"That must be Manhunter."

Flash vs Zoom Battle

In the industrial district, lightning crackled between buildings.

Two red blurs faced a figure in yellow.

Zoom stood on a shipping container, vibrating with dark speed energy.

"Well, well," Zoom taunted. "Two Flashes. How delightful."

"I can kill you both at the same time."

Barry 1 charged from the left.

His punch passed through Zoom's vibrating form.

Zoom's counter-strike caught Barry 1 in the ribs.

The impact sent him crashing through a warehouse wall.

"Too slow, Flash!"

Barry 2 attacked from behind.

His speed-enhanced kicks struck empty air as Zoom phased.

"You're both pathetic," Zoom laughed.

He grabbed Barry 2's throat, lifting him off the ground.

"I could snap your neck right now."

But Barry 1 recovered quickly.

He vibrated his hand into Zoom's chest.

Not to kill—to disrupt Zoom's speed connection.

"Now!" he shouted.

Barry 2 broke free, both Flashes attacking simultaneously.

They moved in perfect coordination.

Barry 1 high, Barry 2 low.

Speed-enhanced punches from multiple angles.

Zoom couldn't phase fast enough to avoid both.

Each impact disrupted his speed field further.

"Impossible!" Zoom gasped as his yellow lightning flickered.

"I am the fastest—"

Barry 1's uppercut caught him mid-sentence.

Barry 2's leg sweep sent him tumbling.

Without his speed, Zoom was just a man.

A very angry, very beaten man.

Speed-dampening cuffs locked around his wrists.

Technology Victor had provided specifically for speedsters.

"One Zoom, captured," Barry 1 reported through his comm.

"Proceeding to ocean mission."

The Manhunter Mission

Ojaga flew at supersonic speed toward Russia.

His ki trail blazed across the night sky.

The prison facility was massive—concrete and steel, buried underground.

"Time for a jailbreak," he muttered.

Inside the facility, alarms blared as Ojaga tore through security systems.

He found J'onn J'onzz in a specialized containment cell.

The Martian looked exactly like the one from his timeline.

Green skin, red eyes, but weakened by some kind of energy dampener.

"Who are you?" J'onn asked as Ojaga broke the cell door.

"A friend. We need to talk."

Back at Wayne Manor

Martha Wayne lay unconscious on the medical bed.

Restraints held her gently but securely.

J'onn placed his hands on her temples.

"I'll enter her mind," he told Bruce and Ojaga. "Show her the truth."

His telepathy reached into Martha's fractured psyche.

Inside Martha's Mind

The mental landscape was a twisted version of Crime Alley.

Young Bruce lay dying over and over again.

Each death driving Martha deeper into madness.

But J'onn brought new memories.

Adult Bruce. Alive. Strong. Happy.

"This is your son," J'onn's voice echoed in her mind. "Grown up. Surviving."

The death scenes began to fade.

Replaced by images of Bruce as Shazam.

Bruce saving people. Bruce laughing with Ojaga.

Bruce alive and well in another timeline.

The healing process exhausted J'onn.

He collapsed beside the bed, unconscious from the mental strain.

But it had worked.

Martha's breathing became peaceful.

Her chalk-white face began returning to normal color.

The Reunion

Martha's eyes opened slowly.

Clear. Sane. Filled with tears.

"Ojaga?" she whispered. "Bruce?"

"We're here, mom," Ojaga said, taking her hand.

"Both of you," she cried, seeing them clearly for the first time.

"You've both suffered so much."

"Mom!" Bruce and Ojaga embraced her together.

Thomas Wayne joined them, tears streaming down his face.

For the first time since their Bruce died, the Wayne family was whole.

Different timeline. Different circumstances.

But the love remained the same.

"My boys," Martha whispered. "My beautiful boys."

The family held each other as dawn broke over Gotham.
