Chapter 6 - Vision 1

One guard hesitated after hearing the King's word's.

"But she's just a girl" he stated as Aeris turned to look at him, displeased with his words.

"She might be a girl but she is also a weapon. Do as your told" Aeris said as he turned around about heading back to the palace but Nyra screamed.

She pulled and kicked, trying to fight the guards as they kept dragging her right behind Aeris. She couldn't take it anymore.

"I'll still repay my debt Aeris, I'll get you for this then you'll wish we never crossed paths" Nyra's voice was shaking with anger. She couldn't even feel her body but she didn't want to.

This was absurd. She was actually being held here due to a prophecy she had no idea about and she just couldn't take it anymore.

"That's part of the plan, fae" Aeris said with a cold smile.

Nyra didn't have the strength to fight against the guards, they spread her legs and hands apart, putting cold chains on them.

These weren't normal chains. If someone tried to take them off, it would stab her right in the vein on her wrist.

Leading to nothing but death.

Nyra wanted to cry and scream but what would that do for her. As they walked out of the room leaving her alone, she couldn't help but run her tongue on the roof of her mouth, tasting something metallic, she knew that she had somehow gotten hurt up there.

What exactly does Aeris want from her?

She only wanted the veilshard which meant nothing to them but she couldn't say it out. He looked so bent on ending her life but she had no idea what he wanted.

All in all, Nyra wasn't scared of death, she actually loved the cold and calm feeling of being dead. She had this fear deep in her heart that whatever Aeris wanted from her would break her so deep and she was scared of that.

Hating him was inevitable but she didn't want to die in a way that would make her mother miserable.

The door to the dungeon soon opened and Nyra couldn't help but frown, shs was a prisoner but couldn't she have some privacy?

"I can see you're settling in nice?" Aeris said as he walked around the room, he made them move her deeper into the dungeon and he felt nice so far seeing her all spread out and unable to move.

"Happy?" Nyra asked but Aeris just glanced at her boredly before clearing his throat.

"So if I may ask, why are you here Nyra? I know you didn't just come here for vacation or to do something worse?" Aeris said as he looked at Nyra who stared at him blankly.

"I'm an assassin who was sent out to kill you" Nyra said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Aeris couldn't help but commend Nyra for her sharp tongue but he might actually end up cutting off her tongue if this continues.

"Just tell me what you want and I could have it delivered to your mother, I need you here for a reason, Nyra" Aeris finally said her name and nyra found herself blushing furiously but she shook her head snapping herself out of such thoughts.

"I don't trust you one bit, your highness" Nyra spoke with a mocking smile but Aeris didn't want to keep going back and forth with her. "If I may ask, care to enlighten me about what prophecy this is?"

Aeris knew she would ask for proof that he wasn't lying or something. He pulled out a scroll that was blinded with a red string, taking off the string, he turned the scroll to her.

"A young fae with silver hair, a mixture of purple and silver eyes. She would be as fierce as the king himself and the heir to the fae kingdom. She would be the King's undoing, the one to finally end his reign"

Nyra's eyes widened and she immediately noticed that hand writing, it was the royal sorcerer, Melinda. Her mother best friend, Nyra turned to look at Aeris before sighing out.

"As much as I want to believe this, I can't bring myself to a point where I would hurt you to the point of death." Nyra spoke truthfully her voice devoid of hate but just calm and sweet Nyra.

"I don't believe you" Aeris said as he took a step closer to her. Nyra wanted to move away from him but the handcuffs on her tightened as she moved.

"Quit trying to run away from me, it's impossible" Aeris felt himself walking closer to Nyra till he was just few inches away from her. He placed his hand just above her head, raising her chin up with his index finger.

"Maybe if you weren't so feisty, I could make you feel really good" Aeris said as he purposely stressed that last word, bringing his lips closer to hers but he didn't kiss her. Nyra felt her breath hitch as she looked at aeris's eyes, down to his lips before gulping.

"W-what are you doing?" Nyra asked as she ran her tongue over her lips. This action made Aeris gulp as he moved closer to her, when his lips was about to touch her, he pulled away.

"Keep thinking of a way to escape and this time I might actually kill you" Aeris said before leaving the room in a haste. Nyra felt her heart racing against her chest, out of anger and something else that she couldn't place.

As she ran her tongue over her lower lip, she felt her sight go blank for a while. It was as if she had magically transported to a different place or rather time.

She looked around her and it looked like this was the palace due to the way it was built but she could hear scream and crying of someone. The elven palace was half destroyed while the other half was still standing.

What the fuck was going on?

Nyra asked herself as she followed the sound of crying and soon got to the garden. She soon saw herself, dressed in an all black leather romper. Her silver hair was pulled to a ponytail and Aeris was in her arms.

Nyra gasped as she stared at herself crying. Aeris had a sword upplunged into his chest, right at the spot where his heart was located and that sword looked familiar—

That was Nyra's sword
