Chapter 19 - Shopping date

Emily grabbed onto Adam, assisting him to walk slowly to their bedroom. As Adam regained his strength in the mana-rich environment of their home, his duplicates began packing for their shopping trip, and their clothes were laid out.

"Nope, not this dress. This one," Emily said, picking out another dress for their date. Both of them quickly got dressed as the duplicates continued cleaning up.

"Which location for shopping?" Adam asked.

"Just teleport us to the city center," Emily replied, and Adam instantly complied. Emily quickly grabbed Adam's hand, rushing him toward the shopping mall. With quite a few things to do, Emily hurried towards the escalator, pulling Adam along.

"Let me see: new clothes, your uncle's family gift, and items for the events. Has Brad sent the list yet?" Emily noted, then asked Adam.

"Not yet, I'll text Brad to send it now," Adam replied, already typing on his phone.

"Good, then we'll settle the first two on the list before looking for the event's items. Look at this, Adam! Isn't it cute? Couple-themed clothing," Emily said, pointing to matching outfits.

"Yeah, it's nice actually, better than typical couple tees. Did you know about this shop and lure me here?" Adam asked playfully.

"Guilty as charged. I saw it online and have been wanting to come here to check it myself," Emily said, grinning happily.

As they browsed through different types of couple clothes, they found a cute summer-themed set. When they tried it on, Emily instantly fell in love with it. Adam thought it was nice, but Emily's excitement elevated its appeal.

As Adam paid with his card, Emily wondered how much money he actually had. "You're rich, right? How much money in your bank account?" Emily asked.

"A little over 5 million. I didn't want to change all the golds, so I just took out a small fraction of it," Adam whispered.

Emily's eyes widened. "5 million?!" Emily accidentally shouted.

"What's the matter with you?! You know how much the kingdom makes from tourism! I'm the one receiving percentages of golds from it since the king entrusted me with building it up. This is still nothing, actually. Besides, I can actually create gold with magic, just don't tell anyone," Adam whispered, trying to calm Emily down.

"What? Create gold? It's impossible!" Emily stated.

"Lyra showed me the formula and looked through ancient knowledge that was lost. So it's thanks to Lyra that I can make gold," Adam stated.

"Wow, you're very lucky to have Lyra. If I had a personal AI for myself, it would surely make my life easier," Emily stated, envious of Adam's luck.

"You do realize she is now partly human, right? With a human body and even learning human emotions?" Adam stated.

"I know, I can't help but feel envious having someone that capable by my side. I need my own AI guy for myself," Emily said as she playfully disturbed Adam.

"You're speaking like I'm not here. Ouch!" Adam joked about Emily's teasing.

"You know I'm joking. I approve of Lyra, but you better remove those other girls from your life. Besides, she saved your life, and without her, you wouldn't be here," Emily stated, her hand wrapped around Adam's arm.

"Alice saved my life too, so you're gonna let her be with me?" Adam joked. Emily's expression changed, staring at Adam.

"Oh please, that witch can go to hell. If she wasn't there, Madam Mayumi or your other neighbors would have noticed. You better not think about her that way," Emily warned Adam.

As Adam carried the shopping bag, walking with Emily wrapped around his arm, she asked, "Oh, since you don't know your uncle at all, let's buy some ginseng and fruits. Should we get beef as well for them?"

"Why not we buy everything? At least one of the things would make them happy. Besides, I'm planning to pay back his money for the hospital bill and give him one million dollars as a thank you for taking care of my body while I was in a coma," Adam stated.

"I'm sure they will like it, especially with that money," Emily said, smiling at how generous and good her husband was.

As they started buying more and more stuff, it became harder to walk around. Adam instantly teleported home with all the items they bought, and his duplicates helped store them. Adam rested for a second, breathing to regain mana in his body, before teleporting them back to the city.

"Brad sure took his time sending the list in the chat group," Emily stated.

"He must be busy listing it down and handling other duties. You do remember he needs to handle the portals as well, right?" Adam replied.

"Well, if it takes so long, why not we go to the cafe? I've been wanting to let you try the dessert there," Emily said, pulling Adam to the cafe not far from the city center.
