Hearing the Sword Shield Soldier's proposal, Hui Teng was inclined to support it. The city's administration had indeed faced numerous challenges in keeping the subjects' tempers in check.
If not for their loyalty to the lord and the city, many of them would have likely destroyed public property during arguments with service personnel.
However, Hui Teng couldn't grant such a position without first receiving an order from the lord.
"I'll relay your proposal to the lord."
He said to Qin We.
"Thank you."
Qin We and the other Sword Shield Soldiers gave a slight bow before leaving the office.
"It seems those who resigned have been preparing for their new paths for quite some time."
"They all seem to have a clear direction in mind."
Hui Teng muttered as he sent a message regarding Qin We's proposal to his lord.
.
Still in the war room, Zhou Zhou read Hui Teng's message.
"A replica of a police force... It's a good idea."
"I forgot that conflicts are inevitable in a city filled with individuals of different personalities and attitudes. Laws alone won't be enough to keep the subjects in check."
He muttered, realizing just how many gaps the city still had to fill despite its rapid development.
"Fortunately, my subjects are capable of identifying those gaps and suggesting ways to address them."
After considering the proposal, Zhou Zhou replied to Hui Teng and gave his approval.
.
"Welcome. It's a pleasure to have you all here."
Vivian smiled at the vampire and two elves seated across from her desk.
"It's an honor to work with the best fashion designer in the city and even in the surrounding regions."
Suarez smiled.
"I'm so excited to be one of the first people to try out your finest designs."
Bianca giggled, barely able to contain her excitement.
Beside her, Monica also smiled.
"As my letter stated, your role will be to help publicize my designs by wearing and displaying them."
Vivian looked at the three of them.
"You all have the appearance and physique to showcase my designs perfectly. By having you wear them publicly, we can attract the attention of both the people and the merchants, increasing their interest in my work."
Understanding the meaning behind Vivian's words, Suarez and the two elves couldn't help but feel proud.
"Here are the details of your contracts with Miss Vivian."
The official representing the city's administration stood up and presented three written contracts to Suarez and the elves.
"If there's anything you'd like to add or remove, please point it out."
Vivian said to them.
The three picked up their contracts and carefully read through the terms.
After a few minutes, Monica and Bianca nodded.
"There's nothing we'd like to add or remove."
Suarez, however, had a different request.
"I'd like to have a certain degree of creative control for the duration of the contract."
He looked at Vivian.
"That can be arranged."
Vivian readily accepted his condition.
The city's official took the contract back from Suarez and made the necessary adjustments before handing it to him again.
After signing their contracts, Monica and Bianca handed theirs to the official and waited for Suarez to finish.
Once all three contracts had been signed, Vivian officially welcomed them to her team.
.
"Brother, what do you think about Qian Du's new skill?"
Rex turned to his brother, Ray.
"Incredibly useful to the city."
Ray replied.
"I think so too. That's why I believe he should make greater use of it."
"Oh? What do you have in mind?"
"Most of the regions we've conquered in the Aurora Kingdom are either defenseless or in ruins. We can have Qian Du use his skill to dismantle the abandoned buildings and transform them into raw materials for the city."
"That's a great idea. The Titans are currently preoccupied with the Tahans and the Kobolds. They won't be able to stop us."
"Exactly. However, we'll need to take at least two reserve soldiers from the military with us in case things don't go according to plan."
The brothers continued discussing the plan as they worked out the details of how they could acquire free resources for the city.
Once they had finalized their plan, they went to see the vice city lord.
After hearing the idea from the intellectual duo, Hui Teng immediately sent messages to Zhao Changshou and Zhang Xiang.
The former was instructed to send his disciple over immediately, while the latter was ordered to assemble a team to escort the intellectual duo and the architect outside the city.
Once the team was assembled, they left Blazing Sun City and flew toward the conquered territory of the Aurora Kingdom.
"We'll be depending on you, Qian Du."
Ray looked toward the architect as they flew atop the city's Guardian Beast, Nezario.
"I'll do my best."
Qian Du responded respectfully.
He, like the other leading figures of Blazing Sun City, understood that the twins played a crucial role in planning the city's development and future alongside the lord and his vice.
Any decision capable of significantly affecting the entire city would have to pass through either one of the offices—or, in more important matters, all three of them—before being implemented.
