Chapter 91 - Snakes in Silver Creek

"Looks good," Stefan finally murmured, snapping the notebook shut after half an hour of studying its contents.

The book contained Xander's new plans to improve security around the pack house and its surrounding borders. Every inch of it was meticulously detailed, from patrol rotations to surveillance schedules.

"No other suggestions?" Xander asked, his voice quiet but tense.

Stefan shook his head. "I think you've covered everything."

"It's flawless," Xerxes added from where he leaned back in his chair, one boot resting against the edge of the table. "I told you that already."

Xander retrieved the notebook, but his jaw remained locked, his expression taut. The lack of relief in his features told Stefan exactly what he was thinking: no amount of security ever felt like enough.
