Chapter 135 - Not Like Other Men

My heart pounds like a thousand drums. How can his words make me feel so small yet immeasurably powerful at the same time? The liberation in them is dizzying, so much so that I can't decide whether I want to argue or simply surrender to the freedom he offers.

Then Magnus asks something that sends my head spinning all over again. "So, Moonlight… how do you want me?"

Heat rushes through my body, chased by the icy shivers of vulnerability. I pause, feeling the steady reassurance of his grip on my hand. He doesn't rush me, though I can almost see his blood boiling beneath his skin, every muscle coiled with restraint.

Rana sings in unison with Athan, her impatience poisoning my blood. 

Still, he lets me lead. He lets me choose. He gives me the control. 

No one has ever given me that before. No one has ever let me decide what I wanted in bed. Magnus is… nothing like the others. He is not like other men at all.
