I heard him loud and clear but i still have no intention in engaging in any sort of conversation with him and i didn't believe that i have to, nor were i'm free to waste my time in engaging in such troublesome and meaningless acts, after all using his same logic, HE WASN'T WORTHY .
I was still wondering about what my next steps should be from now on, i had decided before to gather as much information related to all the things that were related to my conversion, especially those techniques of theirs, after all i do believe them to be the key to my conversion process and most certainly related to the way forward .
Those techniques might be of some use to me, but as i said before i don't believe them to be easily learned, but even if that were to be the case, i would still and get my hands on them for the sake of seeing and confirming this myself .
Those guys in front of me might have some of those techniques in hand, but the possibility of them allowing me to sneak a peek was almost close to zero, so in the end i will have to just force my way through and who knows at the end of this battle i might even have some of those techniques in hand already .
If these guys had any that is, but even if i did get my hands on those said techniques, i have to be careful about how i march forward with them in hand, recklessly experimenting might lead to undesirable outcomes or even worse irreversible damage as a consequence, so i might need to be extra careful how i tread forward .
There was other way that i might be able to use in the meantime to increase or enhance my strength by a little bit, or at least that is what i believe .
The way is related to the existence of Battle Aura, i keep getting this thought that it might be quite different than i first thought it to be, the effectiveness of it back on the battlefield against monsters were quite apperant, almost each and every one of the high ranking Adventurers was using it to different measure, the advantage it gave us was quite strong, enough to even turn the whole battle in our favor in no time, but there was one con that i was able to notice and that was the absence of the explosive strength in most of the cases of the high but not very high ranking Adventurers .
The only thing that i could possibly attribute this to, will be that it was probably something related to either how skilled they were or maybe they having not reached that level of mastery so they weren't very efficient in using Battle Aura .
If my judgement was right, then i believed that the majority of those high ranking Adventurers have reached the Adapt level of mastery and most of them have focused mainly on the Offensive Aura type of Battle Aura, their flashing of faint red confirmed that, there were some faint glint of blue and even green from time to time but i believe their numbers to be very scarce, so i believe the fact that they merely used it as an offensive measure seemed to be very much true.
I also witnessed the special Healing Aura that Regard, may Liliana have mercy on him mentioned previously, but my opinion of it wasn't quite good, i saw it in action, but i still felt that my Healing Magic skill was far more superior to it in term of speed and effect, but my opinion might not be taking into consideration, after all not everyone can have the same bugged skills as i do .
Back to business, the rest of the previous mentioned majority merely consist of small number of the very high ranking Adventurers and the main striking force, their job was quite in line with what they presented, all of these guys were at the mastery level of Master, with even 2 to 3 guys on the battlefield at that time seemed to be at the Legendary level of mastery .
I was able to notice the later thanks to how monsters tended to make quite the distance between they and them, the moment some monster recklessly charged at them, they will be dealt with instantly and effortlessly too, even some high ranking monsters tended to avoid getting caught up in their devastating energy attack .
The display they gave was what made me itching to try and get my hand on a breathing method right away, but things developed in another direction than i wanted them to .
The reason to why i wasn't sure of the exact number of the legendary Battle Aura users, was probably due to the fact that one of those guys had recently either elevated his mastery's level, or he just used some method to make his Battle Aura appeared that way, his Aura kept flickering on and off on top of his body, unlike the other two who had their aura steadily covering them without that much of a problem, so that's why i wasn't entirely sure .
But one thing was quite certain the collectively strength of both Master level Battle Aura user and the legendary ones was off the charts of the norm and even their contributions individually can't be denied too whether was it raw strength or agility or even defense they all got a huge boost, but the thing that bewildered me was the fact that the legendary Aura users had one particular color other than the known four colors .
I couldn't wrap my head around it before, but now i may have more or less deduced an acceptable answer which might help explaining that weird scene, my deduced answer was that the color is related to a demonstration of the clear mastery's level but that was not all, i believe that it not only demonstrated the level of mastery but maybe even related to the Battle Aura skill book they had or even the Breathing method they were using .
Or at least this was the gest of it in my opinion, the Battle Aura power system don't seem to be that impressive from the first look nor will that change much after reaching some superficial level of mastery in using it, but after achieving a more in-depth level of mastery the effects will readily begin to show .
So i will update my list of priorities and put the search for Battle Aura skill and Breathing Method on top of my priority's list, its effects on me might be meager, but something was telling me that i might get a very unexpected yet very much appreciated surprise out of it .
And there's also the possibility of my speculation about there being something different in the Battle Aura power system in here and in possession of the Demons correct, so i might a lot of benefits just by being here than i first expected .
Now that i was reminded of where i currently was and what kind of scene i was in, i couldn't help but raise my head along with my gaze a bit upward to see what exactly was going around me and glance at the scene in front of me and what was most interesting for me, was the chance to finally see my opponents and the surrounding area around us, as i hadn't had the chance to do so before, so i readjusted my now tattered armor and proceed to look at the scene in front of me .
I raised my head up and the first thing that came to my view was the dark like curtains engulfing the area in it, it kept wavering like the flames, but instead of the red, the move was that of a black flames, it reminded me of my encounter with that Gluttony, was he also a demon, he did appeared to be quite strange and his techniques were sure the same too, so it won't be that much of a surprise if he were to be one too, it may be quite logical to assume that every high ranked member under that demon king Blazan command have a great chance of being a Demon from the other Real World including that Blazen who i was certain about him being from there as well .
But what i found quite difficult to comprehend and hard to swallow was the fact that even though the black fire like curtains were engulfing the whole area in it, it didn't restrict my sight or any of my senses by even a little, so i guess this was a point for the lame Domain Of Darkness from before over the Demons whatever was this is, how amusing, if these guys were to know that i was comparing them to a B Rank Adventurer, i can't even imagine what their face would look like, but it will be pretty ugly, i can tell as much .
Oh right, now that i mentioned it, i still didn't know anything about how those guys even looked like, in my line of sight the first bunch of demons that appeared in my vision was the flying bunch, they were 4 guys that makes the total number of this group was 7, so they were more than i expected at first .
These guys were dressed in a formal attire, the only thing notable about their way of dressing was the cloaks they were wearing, the surface of the cloaks were actually flickering in a faint red light occasionally, so i believed to be something extraordinary from the first glance, what's more those with real clothes, they would fit me if i was 2 meter tall .
I could tell by just glancing at them flying in the sky that they were all close to that height, i could adjust my height between the normal height and the 4 meter height using the effects of my Obsidian Armor skill, but it would probably fit me but they will be a bit loose, they were flying in the air using their wings, a set of dark spiked wings for each of, something back in my old world people call this a stereotyping .
The demons above me had black horns on the top of their heads, but there were some variety to the number of horns on some of them with different than the other, some had two horns coming out of their foreheads, others have one, there was even a guy in that group with three long horns circling on top of his and they even intersected together in what i presumed to be a demon only hair style or something of sorts, but it suited him quite well .
Heck, i might have even tried it myself, but apparently i was a bit short of a most essential ingredient, the horns, my hair won't be enough to the same good result as those horns .
Their faces were quite normal if you discarded the fact that they were of different colors of skin tone than humans living here, they were of a charcoal skin tone with a bit shade of crimson to them, the most distinctive feature about them was probably their eyes, i couldn't see any of its specific characteristics out of how high they were flying even with my enhanced senses and sight, but one look at it and i know that they seem to be quite remarkable .
The smoke and debris were beginning to dissipate, so i took the chance to finally see the two guys in front of me and when i did look in their direction, i was baffled to see two human staring at me with quiet meaningful and familiar stare in their eyes, i didn't need to identify both of them, their familiar stares were enough for me to recognize them without much of a problem, but still the fact that they were very humane looking was of some shock to me, but i just figured that they were in the same situation as the monsters, shape shifting maybe .
But anyway, as i stared at them they stared back at me, the two set of eyes in front me, each one of the two held a different meaning in them, but one thing was certain at this point and that was about the Demon's eyes being quite different compared to the eyes of humans at least the appearance was quite different, Ludo who was the guy on the left from my point of view, was a lean guy with green long hair tied in a bun behind him, his facial features and skin tone was that of a good looking guy in his teen, a human one .
Their eyes Were a complete different story, they were currently narrowed down as he continued to stare at me with a nonchalant attitude that was quite apperant in his eyes as well as his body, the eyes of the two demons in front of me appeared to without any whiteness to it .
Ludo eyes were still round yes, but instead of the white sclera his eyes were gold yellow instead, what could i presume to be his irises was black in color, his pupil appeared to be shaped like a red dot to me at first, but for some reason he shock his head and i saw that it was actually shaped like a pointing forward arrow, i got a creepy feeling just by looking at weird shaped pupil, i felt like as if all my information was laid bare in front of that guy, but i soon calmed down after remembering that he already seen most of my information before and i had no more information nor that many of a secrets, my bizarre power could be considered a great secret but i didn't know much about it so if he wants to unlock this secret for me, then by all means, i will tell him to go ahead and be my guest .
But something was telling that even that technique he previously used or that weird shaped pupil of his that was releasing a unique aura as an indication of a great strength, they both were of no use in understanding or deciphering anything useful related to that bizarre power of mine .
Ludo wore the same clothes as the guys from before a formal attire but his cloak was flashing with a blue color instead, but i guess he didn't like being stared at like this .
Seeing me looking at him so intently with no backing down, the green haired guy began to frown while narrowing his eyes even more than before, the arrow shaped pupil was beginning to recharge or channel some kind of energy as it was beginning to flicker constantly, its flickering kept illuminating the area around him with red each time his eyes flickered, so whatever was going on, it wasn't something simple as the previous light attack was, but just as he was about to attack a hand suddenly outstretched stopping him in tracks .
It was the hand of the team leader of his who was standing to the right of him, Ludo turned to look at him as if wondering why did he do that, but the moment he turned his head, a scarlet beam shot from his eyes directly towards the head of the said team leader in an instant, i sensed a huge amount of energy in that attack that i was certain that if i was the one to get his by it, even though i will have a great chance of surviving it, i would probably still suffer some minor and superficial injuries, so how will that team leader deal with this .
Even though the distance between the two was clearly non-existent, so the attack at this speed would have probably hit, i was stunned to witness that barely at the last minute before the attack hit its target, the target in discuss crocked his head to the left in unnatural yet quite effective way, effective because it allowed him to barley parry that sudden attack, he made it appear quite easy as if he already expected the attack on him .
But the attack didn't stop there, the moment that the attack passed his target he suddenly broke made a crack appeared in the void and without warning it directly broke through that space crack and dived throughly into it, i thought that this meant that it was over just like that, but i was wrong, i was very wrong .
I notice that the two once again stared at me the moment that attack disappeared with quite amusement, did i have something on my nose, i was beginning to be amused at how sarcastic i have become in these past few hours, i was seriously beginning to consider if something have happened to my head when landing before, when i sensed a familiar yet quite faint feeling of something going on with the space behind me .
It won't take a genius to connect the dots and find out what was happening, remembering the amusing looks they gave me before, i was wondering if that was their plan all along, that team leader understood exactly what his subordinate was going to do so he just cooperated at a whim, probably thinking that there might be a good show to see, so he did indeed know what was going to happen, the moment i reached this part with my train of thought, the attack which was supposed to have already missed it target and ended, made once again its appearance .
From behind me i felt a sudden disturbance in the fabric of space and instinctively bow down without even looking what was about to happen, the scarlet beam from before passed by my now hunched back and directly went back to the left eye of that Ludo, it then disappeared and with his eyes he was now staring with a deadpan expression on his face for some reason .
I guess now that we both tried to kill him once and still failed, we can call it even, but Ludo why are you losing your cool, wasn't you the one that told me that i should have refrained from attacking since we still need to interrogate him for information .
But Ludo didn't even stared at him nor did he answer him, just kept staring at me with the deadpan expression as before, but i guess that team leader didn't think that much about it and he just smiled playfully and once again looked at me and said :
So what do you say, do you accept my offer ? .
Now that he caught my attention, i was able to see that he had a much bigger and muscled build than me or Ludo, his height was close to two meters, his face was quite fare but he wasn't good looking, his hair was black colored with some shade of brown to it, he had a short mustache and a disheveled beard, he looked to be in his middle age, just like Ludo what really caught my attention was his eyes, they were like Ludo's, but his sclera was purple colored, his irises were black too, i guess that was the something in common between demon or something, his pupil caught my attention since his pupil was uniquely shaped like as a star, dark yellow colored star, what was more weird was the fact that his other pupil was in fact had the same pattern but in the different color of dark silver, his eyes looking at me felt blazing with a gold and silver brilliance, but just like Ludo, his eyes held a unique aura to them, so i had no doubt that they held some powerful abilities too, his attire was the same but his cloak was white, something akin to a declaration of his superior status, were all demons have complicated eye patterns, or were those two special .
Seeing me still not responding to him, he didn't recklessly attack again, but just got a pill out of the ring on his finger, a storage ring, no more likely a spatial ring and without saying a word, he pointed at me and the pill came flying and hovered in front of me, i was curious about what exactly was he doing was this something like the Death Pill that those guys were asked to swallow earlier .
I kept staring at the pill in front of me and then at the green haired Ludo in front of me, completely disregarding the team leader after looking at how he looked like once and he probably understood that too, so he said anger with quite apperant in his voice :
Is this guy ignoring me on purpose, hey the stupid guy there, swallow the pill and come here ? .
I paid him no mind and began talking a few steps forward towards the two of them, as i passed by the said pill, i didn't even look at it and continued on my way forward, i reached the two guys and stood directly in front of them, but this wasn't still my final destination, i stood there and with the same forceful tone he used before i said :
MOVE .
the two guys looked at each other in bewilderment, but seeing that they were still standing there in the the same way without no intention of moving, i raised my left hand and instantly swept it to the right side, the small gesture of mine sent the team leader flying out of my way, the whistling sound of wind was so deafening that it forced Ludo to hold his ears with his hands .
I miss my wind resistant, but the visual effects of my attack had me look quite excited but i still have a contemptuous expression on my face as i continued forward towards the truck behind them, i saw as i walked the scorching bodies of the bandits from before and they were indeed huge in size .
I also saw the body of the guy who held the identity of both being a gang leader and a Dorell family member, his stature was shorter than the Goblin lord but his skin tone was pale blue, his chest had a big whole in it and his stomach was cut opened, i passed by his carcass and reached the truck, i opened the door at its back and i heard wailing of children and women the moment that they saw the door being opened, the truck was filled with Beastfolk in tattered clothes and quite severe wounds, they weren't compared to the injuries Lora had when i first met her, but all the people inside the truck were in a miserable state .
The moment i opened the door the wailing started, but those who didn't wail tried to calm the other kids and women down, saying things like, stop wailing or they might kill us, those who said this was mostly male Beastfolks, from the looks of it they were quite strong too, but they were completely weakened and in dire state too .
I wondered what they must have been through all these days, but i need to calm them down first somehow .
I used my Healing Magic to heal all of those who were injured, seeing the green light flashing the wailing sounds only rose more, but it then subsided, i cleared my throat and calmed down my enraged heart and said :
Don't worry, you all are going to be okey, just wait a few minutes .
I then got away from the truck and was able to see a beam aiming at me, yet threatening the truck behind me so i conjured my black sword once more and cut through the beam of light, completely vanquishing it due to the effect of my Blink Sword .
I conjured some earth walls around the truck, then began to leisurely walk towards where that beam shot came from just now .
Ludo had already took off to the air, thinking that in this way he might be out of my reach or maybe just an act out of caution, but his team leader was looking at me with an apperant hatred in his eyes, his aura released a huge amount of killing intent, so much that i was beginning to wonder how many people that this guy have killed, or did it come to him naturally .
That wasn't very nice thing to do, don't you think ? .
I didn't care to spare him another glance and that quite agitated him, instead i looked at the guy in the air who should be my next target after ensuring the safety of the truck, which i already have made sure of, his ability to gather information, made him quite important target for me, he after all might have a ton of information that might help me make my mind about this dark kingdom a lot more easier, so i need to immobilize him first , as i was thinking of that the team leader dashed directly at me, while yelling :
A little ant like you dared to actually ignore me, i sentence you to die .
