The moment those words were uttered, i felt the whole world around me began to shook, not as in earthquake or out the result of some dire natural disasters, no it was purely how the world react to those words " Light Pillars Of Supremacy" the name of his attack, i presumed .
I couldn't help but wonder why he uttered its name though, like was it a requirement to activate the attack or was it just an act on a whim, I'm not entirely sure, but i did hear some people previously on the battlefield do that, yelling the name of their attacks before unleashing them, though it looked quite meaningless at that time, since most of their attacks, came to be the results of using already named skills, so i couldn't help but wonder, was it just their way of inciting courage or maybe a declaration of their excitement, was this the same here too .
I can't help but wonder, since i believe that will need to get accustomed to this if i'm going to change my power system to be like their, so collecting and dwelling on these sort of information looks quite compelling to me, it appear that this battle will be giving me quite the information, at least enough to inspire new and creative thoughts related to the said power system .
One of those inquiries that came to my mind, was one related to the current predicament and the previous encounter with that Bloodlord, after all from the beginning of the fight to the end, i can't recall him having uttered the name of his attack, like that guy in front of me, was it really just for show, the whole voicing out the name of the attacks and such, so it might not be related to the activation of the technique itself after all, phew .
I couldn't have imagined myself jumping around naming my attacks like that, it isn't weird, but just fantasizing about how would it go, made me quite dejected and embarrassed, so that's why i released a sigh of relief, but the fact could be related to this being only a privilege to the Bloodlords, he did mention that they had things called racial traits, so this might be one of those traits of their as well .
If those Bloodlord were to be a separate race in itself, then i can't help but wonder what kind of races that existed in the Real World, what could be those races racial traits, but heck i don't even know that much about the inhabitants of this land or the races living in it, so i guess i will be talking a few baby steps in the direction of increasing my knowledge .
So little information about things can turn out to be quite dire, i can see this myself firsthand, if i were to have enough information about the interiors of how things were in that place called Real World, i might have been easily able to come with a not so few speculations and some quite logical conclusions, especially with my increased intellect, but i guess hoping to be able to this currently was nothing but a fool errand, but i do believe that everything might slowly but surely clear up in time, after finishing my business here successfully .
Which in itself appear to be quite the horrendous task, these eyes of their held so much power in them that even looking at them was already quite daunting, i began to notice quite a decrease in the chances that people of this land have in surviving the upcoming disaster that might befall them, just thinking that every demon might be born with some special powers in their eyes, was more than enough to confirm that .
Back to the fight at hand, i noted that the span between the said words and for his attack to actually come to play was exactly 5 seconds, after the five seconds the sky began to suddenly lighten up, the crimson sky was still there, but now their were some light spots emerging from it, i looked at the scene unfolding in front of me in quite marvel, the crimson sky was now filled with those light spots, i saw that Ludo have retreated to some far distance, already aware of the move that team leader of his was about to pull .
Even though i'm quite confident and very much guarded, i still have a bit of latent worries about whether that truck behind me will be able to survive this kind level of bombarding, just from the reactions of Ludo and the many light spots appearing in the sky above, i can already see the devastating impact that attack of his will have on the surrounding area, i think complete annihilation of the people on the truck won't be that far off .
Should i just remove them out of the equation, by relocate them out of the range of the attack, i can but i'm not sure that i want to, after all removing them out of the attack way could indeed grant that they will be safe, but it could also mean that i won't be able to react or be of much help if those flying guys or that Ludo decided to take them as hostages or something of that sort, i can't completely discard that possiblity, now that it appeared in my head now, can i ?!! .
And i still don't know anything about the exact range of that attack, after all i have never saw it before, not to mention being the target of it, but as i said before the data in front of me were leading me to believe that it would be quite big .
So what should i do, i myself would take the attack head-on, i sensed no danger from the attack, or maybe like before the dangerous side of the attack will explode directly in my face like before, as for the truck, i can bury it in the ground beneath me and keep transmute the earth to protect it with Transmutation, it won't be that difficult to pull something like this off, but how much percent of it succeeding, i still can't tell, i will just have to be ready to use Healing Magic the moment the need of doing so arise, that's all i can do, my best then leave it to fate, but light huh ? .
The moment i finished my internal monologue and already successfully improvised a solution out of my current predicament, i was able to the see that the enraged team leader was lowering his outstretched to the sky hands, as if commanding the attack to begin, so i steadied myself and waited to witness what was about to happen next, but first i used Transmutation and willed the earth beneath me to swallow the truck, once the truck was inside the earth completely, i surprisingly found that once it was underground, it was quite easy to move around .
So once again i willed the earth to drove the truck to me, i made a few adjustments so that there will be a steady flow of air to make sure no one suffer from the lack of air to breathe, then i made a few other new arrangements to make sure, everything was good and everyone inside the truck will come to be safe and sound, a few uproars erupted the moment the earth swallowed the truck and i thought it was quite justified in my mind, after all the sudden shift in the ground and the sudden lack of any way to see what was exactly going on, just exactly like the light being suddenly turned off, the first feeling that came will be unsettlement, that was especially correct in the case of normal adults, not to mention kids who were already barely beginning to hope and think that a nice change was about to come to their life .
I wasn't able to much other than to knock a few times on the said truck in try of appeasing the kids, or inspire some reactions from the grown-ups, asking them to help me in appeasing their younglings, luckily they understood the gesture and most of them directly went into action directly, the sound of uproars quietened down bit by bit until it completely disappeared, or i might have just buried them so deep underground that it appeared to be like so, let's just be hopeful this time and believe the first case to be the fact .
The reason why i went on and buried the truck so deep underground, is related to the unsettling feeling i kept on having about how much damage the earth was going to withstand before the damage from the attack reach the truck, so as another countermeasure i decided to bury it deeper and give myself a break from worrying about it and if all of my plan came to be futile, then i would just use Transmutation to fix a new way for those guys to get out of here, with putting all of this in the back of my head, i once again focused on the surprise that i was about to witness .
I was already expecting the attack or so i thought, but the fact was that his attack came to me in light speed, i blinked and when i opened my eyes i saw them crashing down on me, completely eradicating the earth that was beneath me as well, luckily i buried the truck more deep in the ground .
The moment that i opened my eyes, what came in view was pillars of light all crashing on my head from the sky, those beams were still connected to the sky as they fall on me, bringing a huge increase in the heat and heaviness to the area, the earth beneath me was completely obliterated due to the impact but the rest of the layers that weren't obliterated actually were beginning to melt, magma was even beginning to be forming .
The attack on me didn't leave me unscathed, but nothing that Healing Magic can't fix, the heat kept burning my skin directly after it directly dissolved my hair, my bare chested was now in view, due to the fact that the armor directly collapsed the moment that the attack came down ,i was also under quite the pressure, mostly from the gravitational force that accompanied the attack falling from the sky itself, i was now bald and glemorous .
Seeing me not issuing any cries of agony, the team leader once again raised his hand to sky and launched another assault, i felt that my skin was now dissolving at a quicker rate than ever before, i wanted to move out of the place but those pillars of light acted as anchors that fixed me in place, i can still move but my speed will be minimal and i won't still be able to escape completely and the truck under me with another problem, it was only safe currently due to the fact that these attacks crashed directly at me .
I have no doubts that with how much power i still sense in them, the moment one target the ground beneath me, it will take no time to pierce through layer upon layers of the earth so reaching the truck was quite possible, i can see that by even directly and unintentionally passing by it, it might lead all the people in the truck to perish just from the heat the attack was releasing .
But i guess that light attack speed is really quite something, i wasn't able to react much to it and even if you were physically strong enough to withstood it, the gravitational force and the heat that came alongside the attack will still take care of fixing you in place or even directly finishing you off, that was the the real scary part about this attack and those weird techniques of theirs, their creativity and versatility of uses made them quite formidable to go against, not to mention their destructive power was beyond doubt, something else entirely .
Seeing that i'm still standing without much of what he wanted to see me doing, screaming in agony and asking for his forgiveness perhaps, i was still able to notice him his from the corner of my eyes, he for the first time since this battle started or to be more accurate this one-sided assault started unleashed the power of his eyes, instead of the yellowish pillars Of light, came to be a sudden purple light pillars from the sky above, but it appearance unlike with the yellowish light pillars was actually accompanied by purple arcs of electricity, don't tell me, lightening, those pillars were actually made of lightening .
I heard a few murmurs about how aggressive this element was to control, its spells were described as double-edged sword or the cursed element , "most of the elements swarm easily and peacefully in the atmosphere, but not that one, every spell can do damage to its caster if he the caster was to mess with anything in the process of casting the spell no matter the attribute, but not this one no, from what i heard even if you were to already possess the affinity for this element, it doesn't mean anything other than you being able to a certain extent tame it, but completely controlling it, is nothing but a foolish dream .
"There is nothing in particularly wrong with this magic, it's not inferior to other type of magic too, actually if anything it might actually be superior, at least that is what i believe and that opinion of mine wasn't without a basis .
"As i said before this element doesn't exist in the atmosphere, its destructive nature doesn't allow any element to exist next to it or even a distance near it, an arrogant and conceited element, as always one thing lead to another and that exactly was the case here, as a result of it being so violent it tends to hurt both enemies and friends likewise, even without giving its caster intentions no mind at all .
"What is worse, no matter how excellent your affinity with the lightening element was, you wouldn't still be able to cast it free of charge, or more accurate to say without having a taste of its might yourself, at least that was according to what the guys i listened to said .
"The moment you try to cast a spell from the lightening element system, depend on what skill did you choose to cast, you would be suffering from the element you tried to use and it isn't even negotiable, deal with it as the fee that you have to pay to use a powerfu and super destructive kind of magic, but one that require you to pay it with your body or wealth, but even though it cost dearly to use it, but if you used up to the intermediate level spells, you could still manage somehow .
"But it's a complete different story if someone were to try any level of lightening spells above that level, if you aren't confident enough in your strength, then you better not be pushing your luck, going to cast any high level spells with that cursed element, could be easily interpreted as either the caster was crazy or he was simply courting death .
"The more you channelled lightening, the more damage he was going to inflict upon you as a cost, so as i said if you aren't strong enough and still decided to use a high level lightening spell, then you are in a one hella trip of suffering, in worst case scenario, you might damn yourself before defeating your enemy, so yeah it was unofficial law to not use that element in any kind of siege battles, since you never know when it will turn on you and even if you did know , there will no point of stopping at that time .
" there's different ways to be able to overcome this setback, but that did require you to either have strength or money other than that, you should pray and hope for yourself to be one of the few talented individual that can harness a bits of its power without it backfiring on them, but even though they could do so, they aren't invulnerable to the backfiring of the lightening element " .
That what they said, but the guy in front of me was able to easily and precisely control it with the power and abilities of his eyes, so i couldn't help but be stunned at this kind of revelation and reminiscing about the previous mentioned conversation, in this time i'm quite thankful to the fact that i have a skill to nullify my pain .
But wasn't lightening supposed to be white or blue, that was the last thought i had before being swarmed by pillars of purple lightening aiming at my body unlike the still continuing attack on my head, i guess this was his alternative way of attack, if i hadn't had Healing Magic i would have already been turned into a skeleton, although i believe he will only be satisfied, if i turned to ash, but he is in for another surprise .
A few minutes of being under the barrage of attacks, had me shed a lot of skin, but i still didn't feel much from it other than the discomfort that came to be out of seeing the whole process over and over, but i guess he too was reaching his limit too, after all whatever power system he was using, it didn't have much leniency as the one i current have, meaning he doesn't regain Mana like me and i believe the same goes for Stamina as well .
The pillars of light began to recede suddenly and disintegrated into the the thin air, but other than the devastating scenery of the earth beneath me, i was still standing there the same as before, but bald nonetheless, i activated Healing Magic and fixed that quickly, i thought my hair would return to its original color being black, but i guess that i was still underestimate the powers at work here, my hair once again became unnatural blonde in color, my skin on the other hand have gotten a lot farer and smoother than before, i guess being forced to shed your skin over and over do indeed make wonders, the only downside to this process of beautification was you have to shed your skin at least 80 times consecutively, but other than the beautification effect it did to me, there was not even a scratch on me .

What i can certainly tell though, was how much it cost him to lunch that attack of his, one thing was certain, it cost him a lot, just from the point he was breathing heavily now, the barrage of attack stopped and out of caution i still hid the truck underground, since it was better and safer for them that way, i fixed my armor then began to move towards the huffing team leader leisurely, he had his chance to attack now came mine .
