Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Daredevil Matt

It really was him, Daredevil!

Matt Murdock!

Levis greatly admired this Marvel vigilante and chuckled, "Very good, Daredevil. No, perhaps Daredevil is a more fitting name!"

"Whatever you want," Daredevil Matt said, not one for many words. He glanced at the contact person on the ground, then looked at the remaining lookout, and asked, "Are you going to let him go?"

Levis didn't even look at the guy and replied, "You do whatever you want."

Matt nodded, picked up the stun baton from the ground, and with a flick of his wrist, sent the lookout falling into the sea.

"Those women are yours to deal with!" Levis said to Matt, cleanly passing the buck.

Matt didn't refuse. Instead, he looked around and asked, "Then this side is yours!"

Levis nodded. Although it was their first meeting, their division of labor was clear, just like old friends.

The women each gave Levis one last reluctant look, especially at his wings, before following behind Matt and leaving.

The contact person was already dead, but the guy who just fell into the sea should still be salvageable.

After that, it was naturally Levis's time to generate income.

From this job, Levis earned a considerable sum. Although he didn't count it precisely, there were at least tens of thousands of dollars in cash. He wondered how long these people had been saving up.

When Matt returned, he heard a "plop," as if something had fallen into the sea.

Seeing Matt's return, Levis praised, "You're very careful."

"I don't want to cause trouble," Matt explained, then looked at Levis and said, "I heard them call you 'Angel'?

"Angel? Perhaps." Levis shrugged and smiled. Although he didn't like God, it didn't stop others from calling him Angel because of his appearance. And he indeed needed a "codename."

As for whether he would truly call himself "Angel" in the future, Levis didn't care. He wasn't averse to the nickname anyway.

Although Matt was blind, his senses were incredibly keen, even extraordinarily so. In his sensory World, he could clearly perceive Levis's presence, including the pair of wings behind him.

Of course, this perception didn't include Levis's face; Matt's senses weren't that exaggerated.

"Thank you for your help, Mr. Angel." Matt wasn't good at expressing emotions, but he wasn't stingy with a thank you.

Although Levis was very interested in Matt and wanted to chat more, he was more eager to go back and count his earnings for the night. Compared to Mr. Daredevil Matt, money was still more important.

"Well then, Mr. Daredevil, goodbye!"

With that, Levis flapped his wings and soared into the night sky, quickly disappearing into the horizon.

The next morning, as Levis woke up to prepare breakfast, he found that Danny had already risen and was meditating on the balcony.

"Are you meditating and practicing martial arts?" Levis asked in surprise.

Danny's eyes lit up, and he excitedly looked at Levis, saying, "Neo, you also know about meditating and practicing martial arts?"

"Uh..." This kind of thing should be known by any Easterner. Levis shook his head and said, "I've seen it in Eastern movies!"

"Oh." Danny was a bit disappointed, having gotten excited for nothing.

After breakfast, Levis and Danny went out again.

"Where are we going today?" Levis asked Dannyafter they stepped out the door.

Today, Danny finally looked like a normal person on the outside. Although Levis's clothes didn't fit him perfectly, they were at least a hundred times better than his disheveled, barefoot tramp appearance from yesterday. Only his full beard hadn't been shaved off yet.

Danny, carrying his small backpack, said confidently, "I want to go directly to Joy. As long as I explain it clearly to her, I'm sure she'll understand!"

Levis felt Danny's idea was incredibly unreliable, but seeing Danny's confident look, he really didn't want to dampen his enthusiasm, so he reluctantly said, "Alright, how are you planning to tell her?"

"It's still early. Joy definitely hasn't left yet. I'm going to wait for her directly at her doorstep!"

After Danny finished speaking, Levis looked at him in surprise, "You know where Joy lives?"

"You forgot yesterday? I saw it. The person who came in then was Joy, and she lives right there!" Danny said proudly.

Levis then remembered yesterday's experience. It turned out Danny wasn't as reckless as he seemed, so he nodded and said, "Alright, I have nothing to do today anyway, I'll go with you."

"OK!" Danny was clearly very happy. He just felt that Levis was a truly good friend.

The timing was perfect. As Levis and Dannyarrived across from Joy's house, they saw Joy stepping out.

Danny immediately rushed across the street, running and shouting, "Hey, Joy! Hey, Joy!"

Joy was clearly startled by Danny rushing towards her. She backed away towards her door, extending a hand to block Danny from getting closer.

Seeing this, Levis wasn't in a hurry to go over. He watched the commotion from across the street.

Danny and Joy communicated and struggled for a while, but it didn't seem to be working out well.

Although Danny was no longer in his tramp-like appearance from yesterday, his abrupt approach early in the morning made Joy feel that he had ill intentions, and she was very resistant to interacting with him.

Danny kept talking about past memories, trying to make Joy believe that he was the long-lost childhood friend, Danny Rand.

Seeing that Danny seemed to be at a stalemate, Levis was about to go over.

Just then, a black SUV suddenly honked and drove over, seemingly heading straight for Danny.

Danny quickly retreated to dodge, but after avoiding the SUV, Danny stood directly in the middle of the road, just as a yellow taxi was heading straight for him.

Levis's eyes narrowed, and Joy was also startled.

However, what was even more astonishing the next moment was Danny. He actually did an aerial flip, jumping two or three meters from a standing position, safely avoiding the taxi.

This kind of performance was truly beyond the scope of ordinary people.

Joy looked at Danny in disbelief. Danny finally gave up on pestering Joy and turned to leave in resignation.

"Danny, great moves! That was exciting!" Levissaid, giving a thumbs up in praise.

"It's nothing, I almost didn't dodge it," Danny said, shaking his head disinterestingly.

Levis smiled and didn't dwell on the topic, asking, "What are you going to do next? Joy doesn't seem to believe you?"

Danny scratched his head. He also didn't know what to do next.

So, the two of them aimlessly walked the streets of Manhattan, both pondering a solution and relaxing their minds.

When they reached a fountain in a park, Dannysuddenly ran to the side and started practicing on his own again. Levis didn't know what he was practicing, but judging by his posture, it looked like he was doing Tai Chi. The movements were incredible.

Levis sat idly on a bench, stretching his arms back on the chair, tilting his head up to bask in the warm sunlight, enjoying the rare tranquility of early morning.

"Hello sir, may I show you this?"

He hadn't been lying there long when Levis heard a woman's voice beside him
